I've just started doing surveys on curious cat and you can easily earn a few pounds a day, it's better than the other ones I've done so far. It's hard this debt busting isn't it and the weather doesn't help, just makes me feel more miserable.4

I feel fine as long as I'm not doing much. I've taken the rest of the week off work to try and recover properly but not sure I'm doing much of that either. Just feeling a bit meh.
The nurse failed to get blood out of me this morning so a different nurse will try tomorrow morning.
If anyone has any tips on getting veins to behave please share. I already drink plenty the day before and the day of, and try to keep myself warm.Debts 04/01/25 01/11/25

I was feeling flat all day, so when I nipped home to put the chickens and ducks away I grabbed some bits to bring back to this house with me. I had a lovely deep bubble bath, with deep conditioner on my hair and a facemask on. Double whammy because I feel better and I've found more stuff to get rid of. I have a ridiculous amount of face masks I'll never use so they can go on Olio tomorrow. I also used up a small very old tube of cocoa butter. When things are going slow you have to celebrate the small wins.
I have eaten a lot of cr*p today but I'll worry about that another day. Just hope it doesn't throw my blood tests too much. Although, I only need to worry about that if they get blood out of me!Debts 04/01/25 01/11/25

The nurse succeeded in getting blood from my hand on the 3rd attempt. Such a relief!
I nipped home and threw away some very out of date cocoa powder and protein powder. I brought back sausages and rolls from the freezer to eat today. So that's a few more things gone as part of my season of shedding. I'm just aiming for the small wins while I'm away, thinking I might get some bigger chunks done when I'm home. Although in reality, given my health and work and all the other things I'm juggling I will be happy to carry on with small wins as long as they add up to a big win by Christmas.
I've downloaded a Marie Kondo book on audible to inspire me, although I am still worried it will terrify me!
I have 2 NW credit cards and I moved the DDs as part of my latest switch. The payment due on 4th went out fine but not the one due on 8th. Why would the DD switch work for one and not the other? Especially when it worked for the one it had less notice for. Strange. Anyway, paid that manually and I'll have to remember to keep an eye on it next month.
I think all my debt related DDs have been paid for this month. I haven't spent much either as I've been off work and house sitting. I need fuel but I'll just get a little bit locally and fill up at a cheaper place next week ready for work. I'm looking forward to doing my weekly figures tomorrow, it's the time of the month when things are at their very best.
OOooo!! I didn't include my emergency fund when I did my signature as I was moving funds around, but it is back up to £600. I think that's the highest it's been.

Glad they got the blood ok. I have terrible veins too, I was amazed they got it first time recently, that never happens!
I like the Marie Kondo books, I just ignore the bits I don't agree with. Also, if you find it overwhelming, break the categories down into smaller ones. So don't pull out all your clothes, but do smaller sections like underwear, tops, trousers etc."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I think I'll have to @jwil When I heard that in the first chapter - pull everything out and do it all at once - I nearly died at the thought!!!
On my brief visit home this evening I've thrown away out of date herbs and spices, corn flour, yellow split peas, coffee bags, sachets of hot chocolate and chai, and brown sugar.
I've started a list of things I'd like to replace, but I'm going to see if I can either get small bags or get them in one of those shops where you fill a little jar.

I'm so dopey sometimes! I'm so used to having no money and having to work out how I'm going to pay for things that I forget I've made changes. I was worrying that I didn't put mileage in this month and have been off quite a bit, so probably wouldn't have enough wages at the end of the month to pay for a boiler service. And any extra in November needed to pay for Christmas presents. I totally forgot I have £200 in a house pot for house related bills. I've been worrying about that for at least a week. Boiler service is now arranged. Panic over.
ETA just did my weekly figures and my total debt (not including mortgage and student loan) is 30,201.81. It should be under 30 at the start of next month. I've also got 600.76 in the emergency fund.
