Big sighs. I'm falling out with Nitwest again. They didn't take the direct debit for one of my credit cards and are saying all sorts of different reasons why it's my fault. Except I have 2 cards with them and 2 DDs from one bank account and they took one but not the other 🙄. I'm really hoping they don't give me extra charges or worse I lose the interest free period.
I think it's because they made mistakes last month and paid me compensation, which means the statement said they'll take 0, but the minimum payment is 67. My DD was supposed to be for 75.
I can make a payment by bank transfer today, I just need them to tell me how much to be on the safe side.

Bad news, I reversed into the neighbours car. Luckily it's just a scuff.
Good news, I've reconciled the bank accounts and pots.
Good news hopefully, I've just applied for another bank switch.

It's been a rough few days. My holiday was nearly cancelled, it was all up in the air (no pun intended) until midday today. I now have to prep and pack and finish work stuff because I leave in just over 24hours. I am exhausted though.
I got up this morning and my shower didn't work. Then my sink plug got stuck in, so I had to get a plunger to suck it out. Dentist went ok though, only £80. I was expecting to pay over £100 today. I have to go back next month for another £100 worth of work and then we'll see about the rest in the new year.
This afternoon I found my pet chicken on the ground in the garden. I knew she wasn't well and I would have to make a difficult decision soon, but wasn't quite expecting it to be so soon. I had to find a vet that would euthanise a chicken and do it quickly. There went another £90. It had to be done though, I couldn't see her suffer.
Then I had to drive 80miles to pick up my swimming costume that I had accidently left at a friends house a few weeks ago. I did a full day of work in between.
    Did I mention I'm exhausted?
Best I go put the washing machine on so I can dry stuff over night.
I can sleep on the plane.

  • Ah that is a lot. I'm sorry to hear about your chicken.
You've done extremely well to deal with all those things in quick succession and definitely deserve to have a nice relaxing holiday
