I think sometimes we all need to throw our toys out of the pram, have a good vent, and then just get back on with it anyway :D  You have come so far, you can do it!

I think I have more than the occasional wallow. This debt paying is an emotional rollercoaster.
I bit my nails last night for the first time in months and chipped a tooth doing it. My dentist decided to file the backs of my front teeth two years ago and now they chip every couple of weeks. He also wanted to take out a back tooth that he couldn't get to because his hands were too large and my cheeks were too muscly. Not even joking (I haven't been back). I've just signed up to a private dentist to try and get them sorted. More expense that I could do without but I was too scared to eat, drink, or clean my teeth until this afternoon. They were too sensitive.
Today has been a write off, but I managed to get dog food and sort my car insurance.
I am feeling slightly calmer about the money situation, but haven't faced the proper figures yet. I'll do it tomorrow so it's sorted before the 1st of the month. My car insurance will be lower, but I had to make a larger first payment today.
I really need a few days off from work, I'm not sure I can hold out til the 17th. I have a lot of work to catch up on though. Maybe I'll book some days off in October or November. I have about 3 weeks left to use up.
Oh! I have a couple of bits of work lined up for the end of January. I'm not sure how much it pays, it won't be loads, but it's something new for me and it's good to broaden my horizons.

Dental care is a necessity. Great that you have some interesting work lined up. If you use annual leave to recalibrate then that is a very good use of it, and will enable you to better attend to your work before and after.

You'll be fine, stop biting your nails. Get through this month, enjoy your holiday, then it'll be autumn and you can find new things to sell online, snuggle down with some surveys, and do some wholesome random cooking with whatever's lurking in the cupboards.

Getting dog food and sorting car insurance is not a write off on any day let alone a Saturday!

I am actually looking forward to autumn/winter cooking. It's probably one of the few things I like about the darker nights, that and lighting the log burner.

Wouldn't it be funny if I suddenly had to worm all the pets, urgently, costing me £55?!!?! Hysterical!!
Well that's given me a kick up the bum (no pun intended) to get some serious cleaning done!
(On the plus side 55 for all pets is not bad when it cost 60 for just the tortoise a few months ago. Just another unexpected spend I could have done without)

He was wormed in June but I wasn't sure how much wormer got into him (once a year I send a sample off). This was the first time he needed worming in about 5 years. The vet gave us a tiny amount. He's been a bit quiet and hiding away the last week or two, so I was planning on testing him soon, to get it sorted before hibernation if need be.
No need now because I spotted one 🤢 in a chicken poo 🤮 They were wormed in July, but they had got into his indoor run and had a dust bath a couple of times (despite wire mesh on the top). So it seems like a good time to reworm everyone and deep clean all housing!
I had planned on spag bol for tea but it'll be a while before I can stomach spaghetti!
