I made it to pay day.
Sweet relief!
I have made massive improvements to the garden over the weekend, but all those small messy jobs that nobody really notices. The guilt of having to spend the house improvements pot did me some good, as it spurred me on to tackle those things I could do for free.
I'm off work today so one final tip run. I won't quite have the garden as I want it, but it's enough change that the remaining jobs are mostly manageable (apart from emptying the shed) and I'm motivated to carry on bit by bit in the evenings.Debts 04/01/25 01/07/25

Ooooooo signature update day!
It's not gone down as much as usual, as I had to shift one of the DD's to after payday. Still, it is coming down, it's not gone up despite the financial sinkhole that was June. I've put a few hundred back in to the emergency fund but couldn't replenish the house/diy fund. I'll just have to find household improvements that are free or very cheap this month.
I think this week I'll do a big review as I've been on this DFW journey for 6 months now. I really need to keep motivation going and appreciate how far I've come.Debts 04/01/25 01/07/25

6 month review (positive vibes only)
£4,174.66 paid off in 6 months. I can comfortably say I've paid off 10% of my starting debt.
My overall credit card balance is just over 18k (from over 20k), and it's below 70% usage (68% right now, down from 78% in December).
Emergency fund started (and spent and restarted).
What else can I celebrate?
Oh! One overdraft completely gone and the other down to the interest free level and cleared for most of the month.
My loan is now under 10k.
My credit score is back up to 'fair'.
My next goals are to get the Emergency fund back up to £500 and to get the Tesco credit card as close to £5,500 as possible before the 0% bt runs out in September.
Onwards and upwards (or downwards for the debt)!Debts 04/01/25 01/07/25

Amazing work, seeing those numbers drop is such a boost, and seeing that your hard work is paying off. I think having a decent emergency fund always helps, so good luck on that target.Days to Orlando: 462- ☀️🎢2
