It is ok I am not particularly keen on onions anyway lol! I also don’t like any type of spice or peppers. I never put extra salt or pepper on good either. Likewise the only time I will have vinegar is when it goes into making some mint sauce on the rare occasions I might have it.Saving To Keep Ahead Of The Game — MoneySavingExpert Forum

Very glad to see the week done without me taking more out of the emergency fund. I think I ended up taking about £600 out of the house/diy pot and the emergency fund this month. That is an insane amount considering it wasn't any one big thing like fixing the car or replacing an appliance. Just goes to show how much an emergency fund is needed. I think I have £100 left in it, which I suppose I should be grateful for, but it doesn't half make me wince!
My wages are showing as pending in my bank account. They won't clear til Monday but it's reassuring to see they're on their way.
My two new chickens are laying well and are starting to look healthier.
I'm hoping to have a good clear out of the house and garden this weekend, and a few runs to the tip tomorrow and Monday.
I've listed a few bits on olio this evening but if they're not collected by Monday morning they'll be going to the tip.
The clutter in this house is accumulating again and it's driving me bonkers. Some of it (my dad's stuff) will be stored in the shed once it gets made waterproof but that won't be for another month. No point driving 80 miles to put it back in the storage unit for a few weeks so I'll just try to sort it and contain it to one room for now.
If I clear out some of my own junk it will definitely help.
I rewarded myself with chippy chips for tea, just for getting through this month without hitting the f**k it button or completely losing the plot.
Ooooo and I just remembered! I didn't take the £15 in coins (from an old money tin) to the bank, they're still in my bedroom. I could see if the local post office will take them tomorrow, that'll cheer me up!

I think those chippie chips are very well earned, it has been a very challenging month for you, but you have managed to navigate it well, but I do understand you pain with the withdrawing of funds. I think the positive spin to put on it is that it did what it was intended to do and prevent a spiralling out of control. Okay, maybe it wasn't exactly what it was planned for but you were able to juggle about accommodate the changing of its requirement. What a change in luck! I got up at a reasonable hour (for me on a weekend) and thought I'd brave the first tip run. Mostly because the dog puked on the landing carpet last night and instead of cleaning it I decided to rip it up. It was here when I moved in and I hated it. Brown stripes.
Anyway decided to take the carpet and a few other bits to the tip, even though it's a Saturday morning in June. I took the dogs, I took a drink and snacks, and my phone was fully charged ready for the long queues. And there was only 3 cars between me and the gates when I got there! Winning at life!!
I got the tip run done, got dog food, and got back for an olio pick up before the time I'd usually get up!Debts 04/01/25 01/07/25

I said I'd had a change of luck! Just found out I won a girl guides church raffle. I have no idea what I won as I'm not at the event, I just got a message to say I had won. Woooohooooooo! I should have done the lottery!
I have done quite enough for one day (just had to figure out how to log in to business accounts I haven't looked at for nearly a year, eurgh), so I think I will walk the dogs, pour a drink, and put some vinyl on for the rest of the evening.
