I usually do my monthly update of my spreadsheet in the middle of the month but for some reason completely forgot. Just done it and it's not too bad considering.
I've paid the last £125 off the Tesco CC so I can close that as soon as it clears. I've had to do quite a bit of jiggling with the balance transfers and paying for two flights on my 1st Direct CC a few days apart. One flight is completely paid off already (friend transferred her money to me straight away) and I had just over 400 saved towards my flight so I can pay that off tomorrow. I will feel better once all the jiggling is done and I can be sure I've paid the right amount off the right cards. Two family members owe me money so I am hoping to pay the last bit of my flight off if once I get that.
Now that balance transfer is done early I can see what I need to concentrate on for the next few months. I am glad I went for a card with no fee, even though it's only for 12months and will be the first of the three BT cards to run out. I feel like I have a goal for the end of the year (CC and loan debt under 30k) and then I have another goal for July next year to get my BT credit cards down to 2.
I am still really enjoying only having one job, although I know it can't last and I'll need to get a second job soon. I'm still hoping I can put that off til the end of the summer. I'm getting quite a bit done in the house in the meantime (quite a bit considering I am on my own and poor).
I was meant to be having a new roof on my shed at the end of the month, but the builder has messaged to say he has to cancel. I do feel sorry for him, but honestly I have such a nightmare getting any trades people to actually do anything in this house. I shouldn't have expected it to go smoothly. I'll try and find someone new tomorrow or over the weekend.
Work has been really busy and I have had to sleep for a few hours after work every day this week, so I really need to make sure I am resting this weekend. I'm house sitting the following weekend and whilst I do love it there (I consider it a mini holiday) it means driving back to my house twice a day to see to my own animals so will be tiring.Debts 04/01/25 02/08/25

That sounds like lots to look forward to and aim for.
Bye bye Tesco CC 👋👏3 -
Massive job for me to empty it, it's still got stuff in it from the previous owner and my stuff on top.
The guy who was meant to do the roof said it needs new roof support beam thingys. It's a concrete shed with a broken door and corrugated roof. I need it to be secure (rodent proof) and waterproof so I can store some of my father's stuff in there while I sort through and sell it.
I haven't contacted anyone for quotes. I've had a ridiculously lazy day.
I have applied to close the T credit card though.Debts 04/01/25 02/08/25

One bit of owed money came through today, so the flight is now paid off. Just the visa, accommodation, pet sitter, airport parking, and spending money to find now. In eight weeks. I'm sure it'll be totally fine!
My MOT is due at the start of August, totally sure that my previously smoking engine will not be a problem, and the 11 year old car with 110k miles will breeze through! Send positive vibes my way.
In other news, just tried the Tesco app and it says I have no accounts, so I guess the credit card has been closed.
One week til payday and I haven't had to dip in to the emergency fund, but my accounts are a little bit of a mess from all the jiggling around I had to do. I should be able to balance them all again next week (still have one bit of money owed to me from weeks ago, and possibly another relative owing me from something I got for them this week).Debts 04/01/25 02/08/25

Rolled in Za'atar and covered in olive oil (free from the house I'm sitting) if you fancy a bit of drooling while you're googling!
I had a quick taste, put it away, then got it back out five minutes later. It's not going to last the weekend but I was hoping to do some moonblush tomatoes (free from the garden here) to go with it tomorrow.Debts 04/01/25 02/08/25
