Sending you peaceful weekend vibes. It was nice to read that you were putting in some time for yoga and relaxation this week. I find this really helps me when things feel tough.

Has anyone seen my motivation? If so, could you send it back to me please? Even doing my monthly finance check felt like a chore (the monthly one includes student loan and mortgage).

For the first time in a very long time I am having Sunday dread about work tomorrow. It's going to be another tough week. I've started fantasising about spending a week at a health farm. Do they still exist?

I'm spending too much money and eating too much crap still. Blah blah blah. Nothing on credit cards and no additional debt though.

I was brave and spent an hour or so in my garden today. I cleaned the coops and did a bit of weeding. I also put up the (absolutely massive) parasol I bought for my dog.

A friend wants to stay (with children) in a few weeks time. I really don't think I can get my house visitor ready and child safe in a few weeks. Certainly not with my current energy and motivation levels.

I might book in to yoga in the morning again, it felt like a nice start last week, even if that feeling only lasted a day.

I think your motivation must be on holiday with mine 😆 I don’t know about health farms but you can book retreats, probably the same thing with an updated name.

I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪

I went to yoga, I did bare minimum work (will do a couple of hours later) and I tentatively spent an hour in the garden. The giant parasol blew over so I need to find a solution that's stronger than 6 bricks.

I picked a few black currants.

Venison burgers from the freezer for tea. Posh.

@Sun_Addict do you think our motivations might be at the retreat? Should we go check? 😄

I'm feeling a little more like myself today. I booked most of the day out work wise, so I could get something done that I'd been trying to do since mid May. I worked on it out on the hammock. It's not finished but I've done the hardest part.

The tortoise has been bathed to keep him hydrated and had a treat of cucumber. The ducks have had the pools and buckets filled with fresh water, the chickens have had a treat ball hung in the shade, and the dogs chickens and ducks have all had chunks of cold honeydew melon and cucumber.

I've picked some raspberries and blackcurrants from the garden. I've picked some mint, basil, and chives to pot up and keep in the kitchen.

I haven't really been able to plant anything this year but I'm grateful for the stuff that grows even when I've neglected it. That's my kind of stuff - resilient and determined 😂

I've had to buy more (saga related) stuff as I needed another WiFi extender. The one I normally used for my office has had to be used for garden cameras. I've spent the last of my money before payday on a top up shop and a top up of petrol.

I've got a really rubbish day at work tomorrow so I'm going to be extra kind to myself this evening.

Glad you're feeling a bit more like yourself, and that sounds an excellent day of productive bits and bobs

Definitely be extra kind to yourself this evening and hopefully tomorrow won't be as bad as feared 🥂

Glad to read your feeling a little more you, well done on planning and booking out work to give you time to focus on the outstanding stuff. I need to do this a bit better personally, tasks just seem to mount up and no time to really commit to doing them as that cycle just is constant.

Enjoy been that little bit kinder to yourself tonight and I hope tomorrow is a painless a day as it can be.

I've just received a payslip for the extra work I did at the end of January!! Finally!!

Well I actually received a P45 not a payslip but it's more than I was expecting and enough to cover my stress sleep purchase of a robot vacuum.

It'll be so nice to not have to keep chasing that money.
