The 'situation' is ongoing, it's getting really tiring now. I'm pretty much in survival mode unless I have to come out of it briefly for a work meeting.

I got my house valuation. I paid 80k for it and they reckon £125,000 to £140,000 so that's decent. I'd be happy with 120k without doing any work on it, I have no kitchen and it desperately needs decorating and new flooring etc. The house opposite me sold for 150k last year, it was done out nicely and had a beautiful brand new kitchen in it but only 1 bathroom and I have an ensuite too. Plenty to think about.

I think I need to have a look at my minimum payments again, now I've changed my credit cards around. As much as I want to keep paying the maximum off my debts I need the peace of mind of knowing how much mortgage I could afford if I had to move.

Looking at minimum payments sounds a good idea if it maximises your ability to be somewhere that puts you in a better long-term position, you've been smashing it with debt paying so it's not like a temporary re-adjustment will be a major diversion if it brings better peace and wellbeing

I've seen a house I like the look of that's close to friends, but it's 220k so almost triple my current mortgage. I just don't think I can do that with my current debts. I'm trying not to do anything desperate, and trying to see it as finding different ways of generating options. I might go have a look at it anyway. My current house was more than I can afford but then a series of events made it possible, what will be will be.

I owe £62k on my mortgage and if I can stay here I could really pay that off quickly once my other debts are cleared. Financially, staying here is the best option. Mentally, emotionally, socially not so much. I've walked parkrun again today so chatting to people and getting to know more people locally.

I'm keeping 'might be moving' at the back of my mind and looking at things I can do to help that process if it's needed. I think I'll give up on growing veg in the garden as it's not a nice place to be spending any length of time, and maybe fill one of the beds with random mixed up flower seeds.

At least this situation is forcing me to spend time with friends and family I keep putting off. It's costing me more money and more energy and my health is taking a battering, but I'm trying to do what I can for damage limitation.

Right! Let's get some stuff done!

You deserve a place where it’s nice to spend time in the garden, as I can always see in your diary how important that is to you. I think looking at places starts a process, regardless of whether the house you have seen is the one you end up in or not, you have sent it out into the universe now that either the current house or the current situation isn’t one you’re staying in. I wonder where that will take you 🌸.

Hopefully the situation will calm down soon and you'll be able to adjust to thinking a bit more long term again. In the meantime keep giving your home and garden and self assurances that you still love them and it's just a temporary albeit horrible phase

My passion fruit flower is flowering for the first time - exciting! The clematis are also flowering and they all look healthy and fabulous!

I'm going to try to do something slightly productive this evening, but it will be done with a vodka in my hand and some good music on loud.

I did not do anything fun or productive, I crashed bigly and have been in bed since. The only part of this that's surprising is that I lasted so long before it happened.

No house work has been done, no dogs walked. Luckily I cleaned the coops and got dog food yesterday.

I've got up now ready for my mid month supermarket delivery then I'll be going back to bed. The only must dos today is drinking water and taking meds and supplements.
