Sorry to hear things have been so difficult for you. I hope it all resolves fairly smoothly and you can look back on it as something else you have survived. All the junk food is probably a good strategy!

Sending calm and positivity your way. Rest as much as you need to do, and please reach out for help if you need it.

Sometimes you have to take a step off the road, rest and reset and set a new direction, sending positive vibes. I hope the chaos settles, but in the meantime some self care, prosecco and junk food sounds good.

I hope you have had a good rest and that it was guilt-free, as sometimes it’s what’s needed.

Thanks everyone.
I've been slightly more functional today, but still sleeping a lot. Luckily half of my meetings today got cancelled so I didn't have to call in sick, I could manage the few that were left. I even managed to get myself to yoga at 9am (nothing strenuous, its a local class and mostly filled with retirees, I feel no pressure to achieve fabulous poses).
I did bi lateral stimulation (nervous system reset) music at lunchtime, and yoga nidra and a nap after tea.
I am trying to give my head a little wobble and calm my mind.
My plants are trying to cheer me up. My sempervivum is flowering for the first time ever, I've had it years. Last year I potted it up into a wagamama bowl and it seems to like it.
I've emailed HR and asked to increase my pension contributions (I meant to do it in April when I got my annual pay increase).

I didn't have to buy any new clothes for my work do, thanks to a very lovely forum friend!
In fact I didn't spend any money on the event at all, just my train fare which I can claim back, and a meal deal for lunch on the way. I got to the evening venue early so accidentally got given double the vouchers for food and drink.
I have spent a bit of money on junk food today though as I was rather tired and rather busy at work. I think I only have McDonald's about once a year and today was that day.
I'm currently deciding whether to put some of my kitchen savings into etoro to get the free £100 of shares. If I do I'll leave the money in there as cash for 90 days, then sell the free shares as soon as possible. I don't want to do any bank switches at the moment as I need to improve my credit score so it could be a relatively easy way to get free money.

Weekly finances are done. They're not so exciting now as I do most of the payments at the start of the month then not much happens for 3 weeks.
I'm trying to see the benefits of staying in my current house a while longer (if things are safe). Or at least not panic buying and putting myself in more debt for no guaranteed benefit. I'll still keep looking and if I need to move quickly I'll have an idea of where and what's available, or if a dream house comes up I'll go for it. But every month I can postpone a move is a month of overpaying my debts, which is a step closer towards freedom.
The eating of aaalllll the food continues. No parkrun for me tomorrow as I'm still not fully recovered from my crash last weekend. If I walk it needs to be with the poor neglected pooches.
Work is still far too busy, the new person who started to replace me in my old job is on leave so I'm still covering and there are more big events this week and next that need my time and attention. I really dislike working for a massive company and most of the time I can pretend to myself that I don't. Not this week though!!
The heat wave is coming and I need to put together the parasol I bought for my dog, in an effort to claim the garden back. I can't believe I've typed that sentence, what a bonkers few weeks it's been !!
Oh, and while I'm saying ridiculous things, I might have mentioned before that in times of massive stress I sometimes buy things in my sleep. Last April I bought a travel towel. I've been relatively stress free since. Apparently last weekend I bought a robot vacuum. I can only imagine that as I was in bed all weekend, not doing my weekend cleaning was playing on my mind!?!?!? I've named it Rosario Salazar. How Rosario copes with german shepherd hair is yet to be seen.

I'm sorry to hear that things are not going well with your neighbours. I've followed your diary a long time and know how important your garden is to you. Keeping everything crossed for you that the situation resolves itself soon.
