Update from me for anyone who wants to know:

I have received a message from the ombudsman to say they are looking into the matter - they are requesting information from AGM and then an investigator will be in touch. It all feels very stressful and I just hope it will be worth it in the long run! I am scared of being rejected as then it feels like I have made a fool of myself?!

I have also followed up again to AGM and NCO - as I am still not able to set up a plan or make any payments. I am not able to login to the NCO system - it says my details are not recognised. I have tried my current postcode and my old postcode that they were writing to back in 2022. Neither work - so what am I supposed to do now lol seriously. No one has followed up from AGM or NCO following my initial enquiries and complaint to AGM to ask who they were. No one has followed up with how I should actually make payments - AGM just gave a reference and said take it up with NCO. In my complaint I have noted how much legwork I am having to do here considering I am the one who owes the money. Will that get a reaction? Who knows.

I can see from the SAR that there are statements with NCO details on there - so do I just set up a standing order to make payments using those details? Will that stop the missed payment markers being placed on my file. Who knows.

I think you should just sit back now and wait for FOS to finish their work

Just an update from me - still waiting on the FOS investigation outcome. I am not sure how long that will take.

I have sent further complaints to AGM as they sent me a very snippy reply and I complained AGAIN about the issues and unable to login. I called NCO and obtained the correct reference and have now set up a payment plan which should now prevent further missed payment markers being posted - believe it when I see it!

Also their legal team complaints department sent me an email which they then recalled straight away. I have asked why my details have been passed to their legal team. What is going on with this - so frustrating!! Why would the complaints department pass my details over to their legal team complaints department? So annoying that I wasn't able to read the email before they recalled it.

Would they be looking at moving this towards court action? Despite all of my complaints directly to them and the FOS - as in their mind I haven't made any payments since summer 23 - even though AGM took it over in summer 24 - would they be looking at the legal route now?? I have set up the plan and made my first payment as I assume this would stop the legal route if so?

OMG I wish they would just transfer it to someone competent and easy to deal with! :(

Apologies if I am posting this in the wrong place. I am also having the same issue as you.

A £5 balance to AGG Booth has been added to my credit report a few months ago it seems, they are reporting it as a missed payment every month. I do not owe them anything, I had a Vanquis credit card 8 years ago, which got sent to a debt collection agency, I paid the full balance off in 2023. I think it’s something to do with that? Now all of a sudden I get this mystery £5 balance added to my report and it’s severely impacted my score.

Could someone please advise me who I need to contact and what do I say? I am not very good with these things. It’s really worrying me as I worked hard to improve my credit score and now this is really affecting it. Thank you in advance for any advice.

If you read this thread you will see contact details for them. Effectively AGG Booth = AGG Massey. So start off with an email complaint. They have 8 weeks to respond.
