Gregon said:Finally have a response from experian who have confirmed the original credit card (Vanquis) and who owns the debt (NCO) and they advise there is late payments so will not remove the “late payment” notifications. I have emailed Experian back with one year of payments made on the same date each month to the same account number. I have advised I can provide dates going further back. What is odd- my credit file shows 3 payments one late, one on time and one late… yet my bank statement shows these have been paid to the same account on the same date each month- Will keep you updated. (This AGG company are awful and i’m hoping this does not affect my mortgage in principle)0

Ok so i did alot of digging and found out my vanquis debt from 2015 was sold in 2021 to nco, who are with agg. I rang nco and complained as they have whacked late payments from october on my account with no notification or anything. Nco are refusing to remove and have sent my complaint to agg. I am writing to the fca today and to all the credit score companies for a notice of correction as to randomly slap 3/5 late payments on my credit report after years of nothing, is not my fault. I was paying but as they movef the account they didnt honour to take the payments. Im still fighting it but my credit was finally clear and building now this is going to affect it for another 7 years. Vanquis did not default they account they just sold it on meaning that we can still get a default on the account impacting another 6 years.1

You must complain to NCO first, and obtain a final response from them.
You can then escalate to the FOS if not happy, the FCA don`t investigate individual complaints, the FOS does that.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. How did you find out about NCO please?Same I’m really annoyed as the late and missed payments are on there but no contact from this company? How can they do it 😖0

A quick update, I am pleased to say that I checked my credit file this morning and the negative remarks have been removed from my credit file which has now been restored to excellent. I don't know if this is because of my email to transunion or my email to a Mr Cowell. Either way, I'm over the moon to have a clean credit report again.1

The director is listed on an awful lot of companies most based in 1 bartholomew Lane in London. There are no contact details for this company so I did a little digging through the list of directors companies. One of the companies that she is a director of is called Star Receivables Limited and guess what, one of the other directors is someone called Simon Cowell, yes the same Simon Cowell from Britains Got Talent. Now, Mr Cowell has contact details that are freely available so I thought it only fair to contact Mr Cowell and explain the situation. I am still waiting for a reply from Mr Cowell.
It's early days but I will not take this lying down.
I suggest that people do contact the credit reference agency when these entries appear and say something like
'It is unfair to be posting a negative entry on my file when the company concerned has no publicly available contact details. Please suppress this entry until this company can supply sufficient information'
I doubt it will work but the CRAs are in the best position to exert some influence2 -

OMG I am so relieved!
I did a request to have it amended but never heard anything back so was really stressed thinking I was stuck with a debt with no way to get rid of it.
PHEW
Thanks for everyone's advice on here and if anyone else has this issue - definitely try the notice of correction avenue

Hi everyone, just an update - I have heard back from Transunion who have stated that this has been removed temporarily as they have not received a reply from the lender. They explain that it doesn't mean it is a permanent removal as they will wait to hear from the lender. They have told me to contact the lender directly if I have any queries. I have replied to state that I hope it stays removed as I have no idea who they are, they have not made contact and I am not happy to have multiple missed payments being added to my file when there is no option to make payment!0
