As mentioned before, I am now fed up with feeding five cats, no wonder I thought my 3 were wacking through food. So after much ado, I have ordered a microchip cat flap, it can store up to 30 cats chips, and no collars are needed for the cats. OH says he will fix it in, it instructions state hold the flap chip bit over the cats head before it is installed into the door otherwise you have to place the cats head in the tunnel bit, I can see some fun coming up to do this. But once done we will be feeding only 3 cats, and can use the wildlife cam for looking at wildlife!!Logs done, kindling made.Kitchen cleanedHard floors swept and washed again. mud.Hard frost here as well.Jazee hope grandchild is improvingLooks like that is the end of me selling on ebay owing to the change in fee, charging buyers fees what ever next! I am just so glad I got rid of the items of interest! I'll be back to car booting / selling on FB with door collection. My time buying animal feed on ebay is also going to end, off to see if those I buy feed off have an online shop.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Afternoon all,Hope that your DGD is feeling better Jazee.Kazwookie we have a microchip catflap for our 2 cats. It's really good, but the batteries don't last long with ours as both cats think it's a fun game to sit near the flap outside, making it click as though they are knocking on the door, and hoping we'll let them in through the actual door. lol It works well at preventing anyone else coming in, but doesn't stop our Six Dinner Sids from trying other people's houses though.Well I've not done much flying today yet, as yesterday I decided to join another agency for work, as looking back over the months I've been back on supply, I'm just not getting enough days filled with just the one agency. I always had 2 agencies in the past, and know it's the smart thing to do. Sadly, the new agency won't match the pay I'm on in current agency, but apparently they are putting up their rates in April, so fingers crossed it won't be too far off. I also need to pay for a new DBS, as sadly I've managed to lose my 17 year old DBS certificate, so the money I'm paying to the update service is pointless as schools will want to see the original certificate anyway.
Not sure if my certificate went missing in a school, or at home. I know I'd called the DBS people as my water bottle leaked in my bag, and I wanted to get a new certificate, as it was 14 years old at the time, and they said they don't issue new ones, which I think is ridiculous. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware that you need to add a certificate to the update service within 28 days, or else I'd have added the one from my last full time position (which I still have).
Today has been spent doing 2 hours worth of online safeguarding training, and other life admin. Must look at the list. Also haven't done the NYT puzzles yet.Hugs for all who want or need them, and well dones to all of the people who have been flying so enthusiastically.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20178 -
Hello all. Thanks for your good wishes. DGD3 is now home although still poorly. Always worrying, especially when she's not even five months yet.
Wordle in three, strands with no hints.
Today I've been back at work, taken Poppet for a long walk, done the laundry shuffle, done dailies, phoned dentist re appointments and checked banking. Recycling bin is already out ready for collection tomorrow.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Glad to hear DGD's health is looking up Jazee. Thanks for the heads up about The Bay of E fees Kaz. I still occasionally buy but never sell any more on there, and even locally I'm more likely to give stuff away on F'book M'place. Items of interest aren't leaving the house, and if I think the rest is surplus to requirements it's mostly reached the end of it's useful life but anything with a bit of life in it is going to the local CSs etc. I'm not surprised by the fees but let's be honest, The Bay isn't a business that's struggling. I could do without rapacious capitalism. All the Chrismas stuff is now boxed and ready to go up to the attic, Wren walked in the wind and rain, blackbirds fed, bird feeders topped up, four items decluttered to neighbours, still minging patch on the front path scrubbed again, pens and pencils gathered up for a sort. I want to see how many I can:a) offer to Belovéd who always thinks he needs more pens and pencils, andb) offer to the local CS shop. If they don't want them I'm pretty sure the Scrapstore will want them. I have a lot of stationery. Most of it needs to go.And then I've got to fgind another seven items of clothing (one jacket already earmarked) and eight kitchen bits of gibble. That may involve a trip to the attic, but as I'm going to be putting the Xmas decs away up there and getting down more of the ood tins from the hoard that's going to be fairly straightforward. Now that it's raining it's a lot warmer than it was earlier.Better is good enough.9

From the list I have dusted flat surfaces in the living room. Will be time for paid stuff again soon.

Eight disposals organised for today, and a lot for other days in some categories. The Kitchenalia is getting harder, to the point that I put something back when I realised I'd reached 8 because I like the colour. That is not movement in the right direction. On the other hand, two of the things could be replaced easily and have only ever been used once in about three years, something that hasn't been used for at least 10 years and the icecube trays haven't been used for at least as long, if not longer. The pen and pencil sort was illuminating. Doing a Marie Kondo on them made me realise just how many pens, in particular, I've been buying on and off for years and now that I've found a pen that I really like, I really don't need those other ones. *fling**fling* mound has now moved to the dining room and although I didn't make it to the attic today to load up another pile the forecast tomorrow is excellent, so I want to get this lot out and delivered to the various places it's going. The Scrapstore is open, the homeless outreach charity is open 8.00 - 3.00, and I've found a pile of paperwork that I should have delivered to someone last week that's been festering in my office so It'll be a day of deliveries.Better is good enough.7

Glad your DGD is home again, Jazee.
HB, you are on fire!
Today’s intentions achieved, including shifting myself to make a birthday card for DSis. She is coming for lunch next week (and coincidentally to remove some treasures which have been taking space in our loft, all good for getting Stuff out of this house). Squeezed HHI onto my list as well, so pleased with that. Now I intend to get cracking on my knitting - finishing the neckband of a cardigan. Thankfully it is child size, but the ball of wool is getting dangerously close to the end. I also need to write down my 5 intended jobs for tomorrow, as this seems to be focussing my mind, although how long for is anybody’s guess.9 -
Glad your little DGD is starting to feel better Jazee.
I have flown like a mad woman all day because I have had my first day off in January. Got another one (ish) tomorrow, although I do need to take Piglet to the vets first thing and then into work for 2 meetings from 12.30pm. I will try to fly in the morning and get through the meetings ASAP as I want to pick Tiny up from school.
Water levels here are still very high so DH came home with two new trash pumps and dropped them into the wells to throw the excess water out over into the orchard and away from the house. Nagged the flood barrier company to get their fingers out in a rather less than gentle way and had a reply saying they will send men out ASAP and will I be home tomorrow...humph - why do you have to get shirty with companies just to get them to do the work they promised?
I have been in discussion at work to get some better work/life balance in order to be able to plan and carry out DIY, decorating and restoration work and home. I also want to spend more time on my crafting and sewing, reading and other relaxing pastimes as I've been feeling like I've lost my joy in life.
Hugs for all you lovely ladies x
