So I don’t work on Fridays and have a tendency to try and bottom a lot of jobs then - when the kids are at school. So although it looks like I’m leaving myself a lot to do. The quicker easier bits I’ll do as I go along, the bits that take a bit more effort are likely to get left until Friday. Hopefully I will find a system that works for me soon.

oh HoneyBear I have some really good, barely worn bamboo socks I could donate. The ‘cuffs’ are too tight for me and they are pricey, top quality. I shall contact pathways or the sally army. Thanks for the notion.
Been swimming, Ironed stuff which is on maiden. Swimming stuff washed. Napped.

Just checking in.Went to the dentist this morning as a crown fell out last week and a couple of other teeth needed some attention. I came out with two of the three teeth done and £175 lighter. I'm going back on Thursday for him to look at the third tooth, although his repair work one one of the others didn't even survive the day so will need to be re-done.
Tomorrow I'm having a bone denisty scan in the afternoon and hopefully having my hair cut in the morning. It's non-stop glamour here.
Today I've washed and dried the bedding and sent it off with the shirts to the laundry. I've also done two other loads of washing, but that will have to wait until tomorrow to dry.My back and knee are both a lot better following my pre-Christmas tumble on the stairs. A's arm is often painful and it's a real nuisance for him (and me) for it to be in the cast so looking forward to the end of the month when he goes back. I hope it will be good news.I haven't had time to read the thread so hope everyone is ok.11 -
Morning all xx
Paid stuff for me today - so my car is frozen over. Of course it is. Still, at least there's no snow here now. Touch wood.
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, completed Strands with no hints, completed Wordle in TWO (woot woot) and completed Connections with two lives lost and a fair bit of guesswork involved for the last two lines, packed my lunch bag, eaten breakfast and supped a brew.
I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling before I set off. And I have a completed bowel screening test kit to send off! Dentist's appointment later in the month. I feel like I'm starting the year with an MOT! Not complaining mind. Deffo not complaining.
Anyhoo. Have a good day.

Morning all
Looks like we’ve had a bit more snow and it’s freezing out there. Lots of road issues hereabouts due to floods.
Strands was tricky, hints were needed, wordled in 4 but flunked connections with one group only.

Morning all. Welcome newbies.
Wordle in three. Not the best start to my last day off work. I was going to get up when DH left at six but decided not to, and woke at eight to loads of missed calls from him as he's broken down on the way to work. So today's plans all cancelled.
Anyway, as DGD2 is not here today, I'd best crack on with Tuesdailies.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
ManiacalRed said:Hey so glad I found this thread. Hoping it will give me the daily motivation I need. I found this late on in the evening so not much to report on day 1.
After a long cold day at work came home to find my old pup( 15yo) had went potty on the living room rug and the bedroom rug ( he has a dicky tummy and it happens sometimes). So scrub a dub dug living room rugs sorted. And the bedroom rugs currently over the shower drying.
All my washings are done on a Sunday to start the week fresh. No more until Wednesday.
Mondays are usually my housework free day, Benefits of being newly single (if u can call 4/5 months single new after 15 years) and childless. That may change after finding this thread. A clean tidy house always helps settle my mind.Welcome Maniacal Red and I'm sure a clean tidy house would help settle my mind too. One or the other I can probably manage with a bit of effort, but both ... I can only dream. So sorry to hear about being newly single after all that time, and that the dog has an unsettled stomach. Our current rescue will never be fully house-trained so there's a fair amount of clearing up here too.Very tired here after yesterday's outdoor exertions so today I will:- walk Wren between showers,- finish the touching up painting in the ensuite,- declutter seven of various categories, the problem area today being kitchenalia, I might try jugs or glass jars/vases,- help put away the Christmas decorations, which are now all done but strewn about the dining room,- gather together a few bagfulls of ood food hoard in the attic and get them as far as the dining room,- probably work on the Declutter 2025 Plan so I can sit at my desk because physically that's as much as I can manage.Better is good enough.10 -

Morning all,
Welcome all newbies.Snow dumped here in the night. It did look as if there was more to come, but suddenly the skies have cleared and the sun is trying hard to push through, so hopefully it will melt enough not to leave treacherous ice.
DH has a snuffle so thinks he has joined the ranks of the walking wounded with manflu. Nuff said. However thanks to him being annoying, I was up at a reasonable hour, have done a short yoga practice and washed my hair. Today is designated as my Admin day (I have such a backlog that I need the whole day and more). As you know, I am the Queen of Procrastination, especially where admin is concerned. But today is the day. The kitchen list will have to join my tomorrow list. To be fair, the kitchen isn’t too bad, and I am keeping on top of the state of the fridge in my never ending quest to meal plan, budget and avoid food waste at all costs. As ever, as work in progress.9
