- aqua aerobics
- 'work'. Lots of archiving, helped unload DW and chatted to the student on DW rota who thinks she may be dyslexic. Cue to draft up an info/training course for student and tutors, sent it to manager.
- long phone discussion with DB. Sigh. We both work things out/plan so differently and are trying to coordinate getting Mum's house contents assessed/moved/completion. So many activities are governed by the date of other activities which are governed by other activities etc. I have this vision of spending several days in Mum's empty house with just the carpet to sleep on and a kettle with coffee and cupasoup to live on.
- received the receipt from Mum's glasses which, oddly, is for more than they actually charged me. Put in the claim to the health insurance, quoting what I'd actually paid in case they ever want to see my cc bill (and because I couldn't live with the guilt if I claimed what the actual receipt said).
- did a memory check on my pc which keeps saying 'internal power error' whenever I leave it on standby. No memory problems so will have to ask G00gle again.
- wrote a list of next activities at Mum's house.
- Thought about menu for Fri and Sat when DB is staying.
- Arranged leftover flowers.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10 -
I'm pleased your DGD is home Jayzee and hope she makes a good recovery. This morning I had a bit of a tidy round and and a quick vac. A's friend of nearly 70 years came over to be with him whilst I had a rare trip out - to meet some friends from university for lunch. Until the pandemic we used to meet every few months but that stopped during lockdown of course and never re-started - until today. It was lovely to see them again and to catch up. As we met in the West End I was able to go to a shop that sells crystallised fruit, which A loves. I bought a box as one of the presents for his 80th birthday, which is coming up soon.Tomorrow (well later today now actually) I have part two of the dentist. Speaking of dentists reminds me that this evening I finished a tin of Quality Street that I bought as part of the Christmas goodies. They're not that wonderful as chocolates go but I feel I ought to have a tin at Christmas as it seems traditional. Anyway, I'm glad they're fininshed as they have been a constant temptation.10

Morning all. I too feasted on Xmas chocs last night CoG. Hope you get some me time Dizzy.
I have been in the WAC since four when Poppet needed to go out for a wee so decided to get up. I start the paid stuff soon anyway. Wordle in five. Supposed to be meeting with friends today but not sure if I can be bothered to go out more than really necessary in this freezing weather. Will decide later.
Will report back if I fly.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.10 -

Morning all,
Very, very cold here. Extra snow last night just before the temperature dropped just to make it more interesting. I am so very grateful that I don’t have to go out in the weather.
Mr M kindly delivered earlier. All as to list and now put away. I have oranges and all I need for Marmalade Day. Apart from the jars, which I need DH to get down from the loft. Well, I could do it, but he needs to earn his keep somehow.Today’s intentions include a quick whizz around the LR and DR. I need to sort out the coats in the hall, so thank you for that reminder on the list.8 -
Been into work to let a co-worker in, who didn't show and who's coomunitcation was unclear. It was 8 deg in there. I put the extra heaters on and kept my hat on but I have come home now.
Today shall be admin day. I have taken out the rest of the recycling too. I've mislaid my reading glasses though.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear8 -
Me again. Work shift, dog walk and dailies done. I did also meet up with friends for quick hot drink and cake. Strands with four hints.Spend less now, work less later.9

Every single word of Strands required hints. All four lines in Connections and Wordle in five.Been up to the attic and put the Christmas stuff away and got a pile of ood food down, bagged and gone. Everything sorted out so far as been delivered to the Scrapstore, the homeless outreach project, the CS which took two boxes of hardbacks in addition to the kitchenalia which I'm grateful for because they don't always take books and ordinarily only two boxes or bags at a time, a Foodbank colleague for her to do some work, the tip and a secondhand bookshop. I'm not doing any serious decluttering today, I'm too tired, but I will do the 9s and 10s tomorrow as required.Wren came back from her communal walk covered in mud which Belovéd dealt with on his own and she's now snoozing next to me with all her muddy gibble - towels, cloths, jacket, harness etc - twirling. It's bright and breezy here, no idea of the temperature but probably around freezing. I think the main roads were salted overnight but there was no sign of a freeze when I ventured out mid-morning.I slipped into Mr M and picked up a couple of pizzas. I could make them but I'm already shattered and I figure next week is going to be as tiring a this one is so that's two Saturday nights I don't have to make it from scratch. I think I've earned that.Better is good enough.9

Well my week has gone to pot. The car has failed its MOT, so I’m now carless. 😭 It’s had a massive impact on my week. Add to it the awful weather and DS1 struggling as well as working and my time has just been sucked away.
With that in mind, I’ve decided my list is big enough. I’m off tomorrow so will focus on what is already on the list and ignore Wednesdays and Thursdays tasks so I don’t get myself overwhelmed.I have also put the recycling out as well before it gets TOO cold.Flylady tasks for Monday
