That's excellent news @bubbs. Obviously DH won't be looking forward to the surgery but catching it before any spread is such a relief for you both. 🤗

Glad to hear no spread @bubbs - let's hope they can operate soon to put your minds at rest xx

A goodish day today. Went to the allotment early doors - had a protein bagel and poached egg before I left. Then HM veg soup for lunch made using the Olio Med veg selection I got on Friday night. I roasted it and chucked in another couple of small yellow peppers, added red lentils, veg stock cube and water to the soup maker. Made 4 portions and it's a lovely consistency.

Dinner was a PON mac n cheese. Boiled up a cauliflower and blended it with some low fat Philadelphia, mustard powder, garlic granules and onion granules. Chopped up a courgette and some baby leeks really small and fried them off in frylight. Then combined with the cauli sauce and the macaroni. Bit of grated cheddar on the top and finished off in the oven. Was lush and I have a small portion to take for lunch tomorrow.

    Thanks everyone.

Yes relief no spread but he did say it is major surgery, all being well will be recovered  in 12 months. DH did ask (although wasn't going to say no) if he didn't have it done, he said well there is really no option 😱

We was actually in the hospital 2 1/2 hrs and the appointment was on time! But then with McMillan nurse, then had to go for pre op. Also got  loads and loads to read but McMillan nurse said don't read to weekend, you have enough thrown at you today. We have both said we are mentally drained.

    Anyway food

    Picky plate, free

tea hot dogs and bns chips and beans, hexb and 4 syns

You're spoiling that man and he deserves it! Hot dogs and Chinese. 😋

Wise advice not to get too hung up too quickly on the paperwork. It's good to be informed but not to think all the worst case scenarios will happen to you. It's like reading the possibile side effects of medication. They have to tell you but the positives of the surgery far outweigh everything else.

I've had a fairly synful day. Food's been OK (had trout, potatoes and green beans for lunch out) but wine syns on a Thursday. ☹️

Back on weekend plan tomorrow. 👍

I know Maman, we both said we didn't fee like a "proper" tea.

Yes we will go though it, do you know what, as he will be incontinent i asked about pants/pads, no you don't get them from NHS 😱 what if you are on the breadline? I am not saying we are flush as we are not just savvy, but they are bloody expensive!

    Here we go

Good news it hasn’t spread @bubbs your heads will be done in with processing it all but the treatment and care staff are brilliant. You should mention pads to your McMillan nurse. They wanted us to apply for funding for a new washing machine. We said no as there wasn’t anything wrong with the one we had! Even if they can’t supply they may have ideas on companies who give discounts or who else to approach.

I’m tired after my few days away but no rest for the wicked, shopping with the parents this morning to get through 😇🤣

Breakfast - bran flakes HEXB, mixed berries, yoghurt 0.5
Lumch - baked potato, cheese HEXA, salad, pickles
Dinner - steak, chips, roasted onions, carrots, broccoli, mushrooms

Supposed to hit 20 degrees so planning an afternoon on a deck chair with my book 😉. Have a good day all.

Batch cooked a tray (40) of meatballs today so OK for a while @Jellybaby.

I agree that HM can be much better than what you get in a restaurant. We had salmon tonight and I was saying to DH that, although I enjoy the socialising with friends when we eat out, the food is getting more and more expensive for food that's going downhill. Our meal tonight was so much better than the fish I had yesterday. I never understand why restaurants are so mean with vegetables as they're the cheapest part of the meal. 🤔

I weighed at the GP today and 1lb over range. I have an afternoon tea out on Sunday but then I must get back on plan properly.

Good luck for WI tomorrow @bubbs and @Jellybaby

    Today's plan -
B- fry up (P, F, S), HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
    L- LO ham hash and pickles (P, F, S)
D- salmon (P), SW chips (F), green medley, tomatoes and mushrooms (S)
    Syns - weekend wine 😁
