Morning all - own up, who stole the sun??
I lost 1.5lbs last week which is a lot for me. Over the moon with that but still a long way back to target range/target.We are due at SIL’s for a BBQ later so hope it warms up and the drizzle stops as there are 13 of us going and their house isn’t very big….Have had fruit n fibre with blueberries and 0% Greek yog for breakfast and will choose wisely later.
Lovely to have Turkey to look forward to @maman especially after missing out last year.Have a good BH all.Coxy xCross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings0 -
That's great news @Coxy11. Well done on your 1.5lbs!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
The weather has definitely taken a turn for the worse. It's dropped to 11 degrees here but no rain, as yet, although DH is hoping for some as he's put feed and weed on the lawn.😁
Hope you can find some SW friendly choices at the BBQ, chicken and salad are usually decent bets.
I went to Tesco this morning and got some good YS bargains with veg (runner beans, greens, tenderstem broccoli) and treated myself to some YS flowers as well plus some English strawberries. My new fridge is excellent at keeping veg fresh so despite being dated today I know they'll last the week. Unfortunately, the fridge is rubbish at defrosting things overnight but it's already on it's warmest setting so I'll just have to live with it.
I had one of the Sheldon's brown rolls with my breakfast this morning. It was lovely split with eggs on top and they're huge so would make a great sandwich. Each roll is 63g so much bigger than some HEBs. I got mine in Home Bargains so much cheaper than the supermarkets.
Today's plan-
B - HEB roll, eggs, bacon (P), tomatoes (S), HEA milk for drinks
L- ham (P), LO veg and pickles (F,S)
D- chicken (P), SW chips (F), stir fried veg (S)
Syns- none planned

Went Tesco and they had all there easter eggs reduced, they had big lindor ones that were about £18 for £5, i said to dh , god i love lindor, he goes get one, i said no, he goes go on break the rules for once 😂 i didn't 😇 not saying i have had a good day feel like i have ate loads of crap, but i haven't i have had a few sweets though.
I got a reduced pak choi 30p for 2, thought i'd try it with chinese, really it's like cabbage, i googled how to cook it and it said blanch it and cook in oyster sauce, i won't buy again 😂
Lunch was pitta hexb, ham, cheese spread a beetroot in, tomato and watermelon on the side.

Morning all, chilly here brrrr. Am determined not to switch the heating on if I can help it!
Painted ceiling and coving yesterday morning then went to SIL's for BBQ. It was showering on and off so we ate inside. I had some salmon, a small beef burger, pasta salad and normal salad. Did succumb to Eton mess for dessert but didn't eat once home. DH got back from his camping trip and had LO tuna pasta bake.
It's a NWD today and a friend is popping in this morning. Will hope to paint the ceiling and coving again later if time allows. I'm doing a PON sausage pasta bake for tea. Couldn't get skinny sausages, so regular cumberland ones will be deployed. Also A!di didn't have any skimmed milk at all on Sunday and all the semi skimmed was reduced 4pinters. I can't fit that in my fridge and definitely wouldn't use it before it spoiled, so got some lacto free semi from the fridge instead. Will see what it's like.
Have a good day everyone

Those weren't bad choices @Coxy11. The meringue and fruit in Eton Mess are OK so it would just be the cream, far better than many desserts. Shame about the sausages, Aldi seem to have discontinued the skinny 0.5 syn ones. I've been buying the Sainsbury's BGTY at 1 syn each.
Like you, I'm trying not to put the heating back on but it really is so much colder. I put my heated throw on last night which kept me cosy.
That Fakeaway Chinese is getting to be a regular feature @bubbs. It always looks delicious and beautifully presented.😋
We had fresh strawberries with breakfast, locally grown and really delicious.
Today's plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA1 milk, strawberries (S), banana (F)
L- chicken stir fry (P,S,F)
D- spaghetti and meatballs in tomato sauce (P,F,S), HEA2 Parmesan
