Thank you for the new thread @beanielou.

Morning all, it's a grey day but at least the wind has finally calmed down - it was blowing a hooley yesterday and the only time I went out was to put the bins out for collection today - they collect the bins early usually but suspect they'll be later than usual today after the bank holidays!

Things didn't quite go to plan yesterday!  The green lentil soup I got out for lunch was actually more of a stew and very filling so we really didn't want the curry for dinner in the evening so ended up with cheese and crackers!  Some of the cheese would be covered by the 2nd HEA but definitely not all of it!  the crackers of course would need to be counted.  Having said that no alcohol was consumed so I may well have been within syns or not far over!

    So today's plan:

    B - kedgeree - P; S; F
    L - burger, onions, soft pitta - HEB; S; 0.5
    D - lamb curry, rice, mango chutney - P; S; F; 2?

    HEA - milk
    HEB - soft pitta
    Syns - burger 0.5; mango chutney 2?

    Have a good day everyone.

    Hello all! Happy new year!

First day “back on it” today and I’m pleased I stuck to plan and have only had 2 syns today.

    Meals

B - just a banana as I got up so late!

L - Greek red lentil soup, slice wholemeal bread with butter

D - penne pepperonata with leftover roast chicken and green beans

HEA - just a sprinkling of parmesan on dinner so didn’t use much of this

HEB - one slice wholemeal toast (the bigger loaf)

    Syn - 1tsp butter (2)

And I’ve gotten over 10k steps today which I’m pleased about.

    Happy new year everyone.
Back to work and to SW plan.
I have been reasonably good over the festive period and only gained 1lb.
My workmates are all trying to lose 25lbs in 2025 and so motivation is super high just now and all treats are banished. We are having weekly weigh ins on the surgery scales. I’m not going to do the full 25lbs (as I’m in my target range) but I’ve said I’ll try for  25 x 1/2lbs (12.5 in total)
I’m not really sure if I’ll get to that but godl lover a trier so off we go………
In the unlikely event I did get there, I would be at my lowest weight as an adult and would also be well into the normal BMI range for my height. A feat I have never tried to achieve before as I think being a bit older a bit of fullness, particularly in the face, is no bad thing.
I will report in with any results.
Todayi have had yog/ berries for breakfast, a chicken salad sandwich for lunch and slimming eats general Tso chicken with onions, rice and peppers for tea - yum.
might have a lindahls kvarg yog later with a bit of telly.
Stay warm everyone, it’s Baltic outside.

Well done those of you who are back on plan properly. 👍

That's really good to just gain a pound over the holidays @Matron_Midge. I know what you mean about being too thin. If I go too low, it's not just my face and neck that look drawn but my arms look like pipe cleaners. 🤣

It's been a glorious day today, cold but bright blue skies and sunny. We got out for a walk and really enjoyed it. Good news too that DH has a date for his gall bladder surgery which he's been waiting for since our holiday was cancelled last June. Hopefully it will be straightforward and all over in a day. 🤞

    Today's food -
B- HEB toast, scrambled eggs and bacon (P), HEA 1 milk for drinks
    L- LO lamb, veg and pickles (P, S, F)
    D- spaghetti Bolognese (P, S, F), HEA 2 Parmesan
Syns - still having Christmas treats 😉

    Happy New Year everyone xx

Thanks for the new thread @beanielou

Well DH woke up rather sheepishly and came in asking " well we divorcing or what?" and I just burst out laughing at him

We have been under so much strain with mother, shes a nasty piece of work at the best of times, when shes poorly she is her most nastiest - I get the brunt of it. I myself had been very poorly with one of these viruses doing the round, not sleeping, running on empty - I just saw red when he spoke to me in the wrong way so I gave off at him and he came back at me saying he's been walking on eggshells for weeks and he just blew. When he blows I just find it so OTT I never take it seriously and don't give him the reaction he's looking for, so he just gets more and more wound up

This one sided rows happen every couple of years, following day we are back to normal cos I cant stop laughing at him :)

How you feeling now @bubbs ? And can I move in with you? Your food is always so amazing - "just knocking up a fake chinese and pate "  I mean I do cook, but finding the time to get that done and all sat in foil dishes .....

@Matron_Midge , well done with just the pound. I did a pound and a half last week, but I think I might get a bit of a shock this week. Last week it was all about the dinner, this week Im snacking

But hey ho, started dry january today, so that will save me a few thousand points :)

Im doing ok with meals, although Im not eating regularly still . Was 2pm before I was even hungry today so of course thats close to dinner and whilst both meals were on plan, I picked around dinner, didnt eat enough, now fighting not reaching for the mince pies

And Im barely getting the steps in. We had a good covering of snow NYD and its frozen solid since, with more snow on top - ruddy lethal out there . My knees hurt from sitting so long these past two weeks , be glad to get back to work Monday

Came up with a nifty wee cheat the other day. I was wanting cheese and biscuits but didnt want to spend the Syns on the biscuits so I split a WM pitta, cut into 8 pieces, and air fried till crisp. Did the job and really quite nice

Morning all, my last full day to be on plan before my holiday - we're off to an airport hotel after lunch tomorrow so will be on plan up until then.  We have booked and paid for a course evening meal at the hotel but no idea what we'll end up with!

Glad things are OK between you and your DH @weekendsaway and you and your DH have these 'spats' every couple of years and you know how to deal with it!  It obviously came across as really bad.  It must be very difficult living with your mother - I know I wouldn't have been able to live with either mine or my DH's mother for any length of time!

That's a great idea with air frying the cut up pitta instead of synning biscuits!  Might have to try that next time we just have cheese and biscuits in the evening after a big meal at lunchtime!

I haven't been as good as I could have been this week which means I've put on 0.4lb.  Still it could have been a lot worse with some of the 'junk' foods still around although I think it's all gone now (or at least in the freezer so not in plain sight!).  It probably didn't help having a fruit scone and butter yesterday!

    So today's plan:

    B - Weetabix, milk, frozen fruit - HEA2; HEB; S; F
    L - ham, egg and chips - P; F
    D - savoury mince, pasta - P; S; F

    HEA1 and 2 - milk
    HEB - Weetabix
    Syns - none planned

    Have a good day everyone.
