Thanks maman It’s not a creamy sauce…..tiny bit of butter, onions, mushrooms, chicken, chicken stock and gammmon with cornflour to thicken. It made 4 portions so I should be fine.
i was one of those who went for the social side of SW Maman. I was very comfortable in the group I’d been going to for years…..loved the consultant but the day wasn’t the best for me…I kept paying for ekes we ere away in the motorhome. 😂Aaaannnnddddd there were a group of ladies of similar age to me and we’d joke about how many times we’d eaten out. I realised I needed to break the habit so went to a different group on a Wednesday which suited me better but it didn’t really do much for me. I gave it a year. I do know the plan works and is easy enough to fit into my life. I just need to wobble my head to the right place and stick to it….simples - if only 😜January spends - £587.580 -
Evening all 😁
Maman , no , no unit today been writing orders today in the warm 😂 but we need to go tomorrow 😱
There is people in my group that have been since i started and there probably a couple of lb lighter! I remember last week a couple of ladies worked out how much it had cost them and said they need to give there heads a wobble, But in all fairness they both lost there husbands suddenly and it kept the sane going apart from immediately after they passed away, 1 is doing better now , she had losses every week think she said for a good few weeks before Xmas.
I know i couldn't do it without going to group but as i don't pay no hardship, also the other group i used to go to before covid changed to a Monday, certainly kept you on track over the weekend!!
Lunch free, i am using that little bit of cheese for hexa
Tea 4 syns for gravy , real belly warmer on this cold dayThis veg was still all the cheap veg from since before xmas when it was cheap, just kept in a cool place and can see the broccoli is perfect and that usually turns quicklyI said to my consultant Saturday, my mission this month is to only buy, yoghurt, fruit and veg if I need too.My freezers and cupboards are bulging with food.

I steered clear of chocolate temptation yesterday you’ll all be pleased to know!Today:
B - fat free Greek yog, banana, strawberry, maple syrup
(1 - 2tsp maple syrup)
L - Greek salad with tomato, cucumber, red pepper, red onion, feta & olives
(HEA - 45g feta / 3.5 - olive oil & olives)
S - lovely hot cocoa with cinnamon & nutmeg
(HEA - 200ml whole milk / 4 - sugar & cocoa powder)
D - potato & leek soup with a wholemeal pitta filled with pastrami, light mayo & lettuce
(HEB - wholemeal pitta / 3.5 - light mayo plus whole milk in soup, as had used all HEA already)
Felt like a really healthy day except the cocoa so funny that it’s added up to 12 syns! But still within target so it’s fine. The cocoa was much needed as it was bitterly cold. I couldn’t resist as was making them for the children anyway.Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

The vanilla mallo bar is 3.5 syns so, (depending on the size of the cake😂) you should be within syns for the day @Coxy11. 👍🏼 Well done you on joining a new WI group. It cant be easy settling into a completely new area.
We just had some freezing rain last night, probably too near to the coast for snow. Today's glorious again, beautifully sunny and clear, if cold. We got out for a walk this morning and thoroughly enjoyed it. My dancing class started back this week too, so I'm getting some Body Magic in as well as getting back to plan.
I remembered that I've got a post Christmas lunch next Tuesday but it's in a carvery so could be worse. I'll do my usual and side step the Yorkshire pudding and try to fill my plate with Speed veg to try and avoid too many roast potatoes. As I'm dancing again at the weekend and driving, I'll have syns to spare as it'll be an alcohol free Saturday.
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, eggs (P), baked beans (F), HEA milk for drinks
L- LO lamb hotpot (P,S,F), pickled cabbage (S)
D- Austrian Ham hash (P,S,F), cauliflower and broccoli (S)
Syns- mustard 10 -
Thank you @maman for the syn value x The ginger cake was a loaf style and I had a cm thick slice. Agree that I’m probably within syns.Sunny here too but perishing cold. I walked into the market town after the meeting as needed a few bits plus we walked around the garden, bulb spotting! Steps well down on when I was working but trying my best to take opportunities when I can!Cross-stitch WIP: HSC Jingle Bells Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 08/25 Currently reading A Bird In The Hand by Ann Cleeves0

Evening all.
On plan today but I mealplanned badly and forgot I was having a pitta at dinner when I made the overnight oats - no harm done as still within syns:
B - overnight oats with strawberry & banana
(0.5 HEA - 100ml whole milk / HEB - 40g oats / 1 - maple syrup)
L - a cup of leek & potato soup with a picky plate of apple, melon, cucumber and carrot
(0.5 HEA - whole milk in soup)
D - Moroccan spiced meatballs with wholemeal pitta, salads, hummus, olives, feta
(HEA - feta / 11.5 - WM pitta, olive oil & olives plus a tiny amount of breadcrumbs in the meatballs - just one slice of bread between the family portion of meatballs)
12.5 syns total.
Also went on a walk at lunch with my colleague so hit my 10k steps.Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018
