Welcome aboard @gsdloopy and WB @maddiemay

Good luck with those going it alone. That doesnt work for me , I need the accountability

I watched that programme as well @milan , fascinating and such fantastic results , looking forward to watching a few more of that series

Another one I watched - its on Iplayer - IrresistibleΒ  - absolutely petrifying tbh. Its not a light hearted programme, bit heavy going, but so worth the watch

@bubbs, I just finished my cheap veg as well. Mine lasted as well being stored in the garage, had the last of the broccoli last night as it happens.

Weather here has been real bad. But the snow plough finally made it through today so finally got into town. Not that I really needed to, but tbh been going a tad stir crazy and we had to get coal

The wee shop I work in now has been my saving grace this week. I do get staff discount but best of all I get the pick of the reductions and can take any food thats being written off. So I got a good lot of veg FOC on Monday and then yesterday I got a large chicken for Β£2 and a family sized trifle for 60p - for him indoors who is eating around himself since he quit the vape NYD. Hes finally putting on weight - he needs to, since Ive been on SW hes become positively gaunt . Not that Ive been starving him, we all eat very well here, only hes not got the vape stuck in his mouth 24/7, hes looking food more often and so Im adding back some of the extras , the stuff Ive stopped buying so that I can avoid it > See if Im not here to hand feed him, he just goes without and would snack on crisps and bread - and theyΒ  dont come into the house very often

Day 9 without a drink so not been at all concerned about syns and Ive been on plan all week.

Weighed in today at 10st 13.5lb so I’m now within 1/2lb of pre-Christmas weight again ☺️. Very pleased with that, it’s a 3lb loss this week. Looking forward to weighing in next week and seeing a new low on the scale as I’ll be past all the Christmas gain!Β

    Morning all,

DH has also stopped smoking @weekendsaway by using patches and a vape. He eats but it takes a lot to fill him up so I have to monitor portion control for me.Β

I deployed my knitting last night to avoid any snacking - it worked 😊

    Food today:

    B - fruit n fibre, blueberries, ff vanilla yog - HEB, S, 1
    L - Mug Shot, apple, satsuma - 0.5, S
D - mexicana mince - 5% mince, onion, tomatoes, sweetcorn, topped with tortilla chips and cheese - syns for tortilla chips 6(?) HEA
    HEA - milk
    Syns - 7.5?

Planning a light lunch as dinner will be high-ish syns for me. We have a friend coming at some point this afternoon so will also suit me that lunch is quick given we need to tidy round!Β

Well done on the loss @Bluegreen143 😊 Great start to 2025!

1lb loss this week so the festive gain has gone.
    yay!
Feeling very happy at present as I have done a meal plan and shopped for it. The only β€œnaughty” thing in our house is 5 packs of lentil chips 75 iCals a bag so I’m guessing 4 syns. We have got plenty of wine and spirits but as my hubby and I are doing dry January, that will not be any bother.
We still have loads of icy snow here. Pavements awful to walk on and early morning driving is hazardous to say the least. Local news say it hit -11 degrees last night and having just got it, it is already very cold tonight. Can hardly wait for some warmer days. Hubby has lit the log burner and the house is cozy. Dinner is in the oven and I’m off for a shower and when I get my jimjams on we’ll eat and watch a bit of telly.
