    Welcome aboard @milann

I know what you mean about the gaining and losing the same pound - thats been me most of this year

I looked back in my book, I was 1lb heavier after Christmas this year then last - so Im not doing too bad.

Im of the same mind as @maman , keep it free with as many meals as possible so that when the holiday head gets into gear, - A - you have leeway, and B - any gain is easily nipped in the bud quickly

Back to work today , 10 mins to defrost the car and inch along the road. Arrived in work frozen, froze in work, seriously my hands have only just defrosted

But the upside - back to a time table with meals. Ok so I still cant eat early - had two black coffees and one chocolate from the box in the staff room, sat down to eat just after 12 - dahl and a pitta - I wolfed it, starving. And now Im hungry for my dinner which means I will eat plenty and wont be looking for snacks later

Been making soup all afternoon, got free parsnips so a nice curried parsnip soup and I have leeks so a leek and potato . Will be putting my yoghurt on after dinner

    5 days drink free

Good luck Milann! I think it’s brilliant you’ve not put on anything over Christmas - off to a great start already rather than having lots of festive weight to lose on top of whatever you’re aiming for.

    Today’s food:

B - fat free Greek yoghurt, banana, strawberry, maple syrup
    (1 syn for maple syrup)

L - baked beans on 2 slices small wholemeal toast with cheddar
    (2 syn butter / HEA & B)

    S - apple

D - air fryer Chinese marinaded chicken thighs with egg fried rice (plenty of peppers, onions, broccoli & peas in the rice)
(2 syn olive oil, 1/2 syn Shaoxing wine, 1 syn maple syrup)

Dinner was really lovely! I used leftover rice from yesterday’s dinner and it really makes such a different for fried rice versus cooking the rice the same day - DH was raving about the results. Also made a big difference marinading the chicken and air drying til crispy and sticky then slicing up to spoon over the rice (rather than just frying it with the rice). So good!

    Total syns - 6.5

I somehow lost this thread, not been on any boards or blogs since 2nd Jan and had not bookmarked it.
Everyone doing so well in spite of the meals out and celebration snacks.

I haven't been posting, I caught horrid bug early December and have been just taking the easy option since then, going to group tomorrow to re-join, groups have been split into 2 Tuesday and 2 Wednesday, but with different consultants for each. M has given up Tuesday, the one that I prefer, but I understand that the hospitality team will stay the same.

I expect to be 3-4ibs above limit, hope it is not worse!  I really need the App to be able to do SW properly.

dinner - pasta, broccoli 30g cheddar cheese
tea -  from the freezer - to be decided……ended up having a small portion of home made Korma with rice, not sure how many syns as Dh made it but I’ve not had any other syns so should be ok.

Well done @milann, another day's on plan menu. 👍

Good to hear from you @gsdloopy. I think once you understand the plan (which you do 😁) then it's an easy formula for healthy eating. Don't think of it is a diet but your normal way of eating. I think it's well worth persevering to get to your target weight and then you can afford to stray now and then but get back ASAP.

Freezer meal here today too @milann. I think it's worth having some HM ready meals to hand for busy or CBA days.

    Today's plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA 1 milk for drinks, scrambled eggs (P), tomatoes (S)
L- cold chicken (P), bubble and squeak and pickles (F, S)
    D- Spaghetti Bolognese (P, S, F), HEA 2 Parmesan
    Syns - 0

    Hey up all!! 😁😁

    Welcome gsdloopy

Bloody freezing today we was at the unit all morning sorting out, but least its straight there now!

I had a picky plate for lunch, i have got out the habit of breakfast for some reason, but never mind i'd still eat the same amount at lunchtime so less calories over all 🤣

I am having BBQ chicken in Pitta hexb with BNS chips and salad for tea, the salad needs using up, chicken was free from Olio, dh is having 2 small pasties i got from company shop they cost me about 15p for both 🤣 chips and beans
