Hi all, AWOL this week again due to RL getting in the way. I’m away in a couple of weeks for nearly two months and everything I organise and plan is being turned on its head due to various people or other things happening and putting a spanner in the works! All very stressful.
Welcome everyone new to the thread and all the losers. Hope everyone is well and avoiding the horrible weather. No snow here but soooo cold at -8 the last couple of nights and hard frosts every day. No doubt, I’ll be complaining about the heat soon 🤣🤣
Lost 1.5 at group this morning. I’ll be honest and say I’ve not particularly been on plan - the meals are fine, it’s the snacks and alcohol in the evening. Probably stress has worked the magic. Anyway I’ll take it and hope it leads to a better week.
My favourite meatballs and spaghetti for dinner tonight.Stay warm and safe everyone.0 -

Well done on your loss @Jellybaby.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I do hope your plans are still all in place for your holidays. Envying you the meatballs tonight but I've got the mince ready in the fridge to cook a batch tomorrow.😋

@Bluegreen143 , @Matron_Midge , well done on your loses , very well done the pair of you@Bluegreen143 , I never sweat the plan the day I weigh in. I dont go mad but I dont stick 100% to plan, I start again the following day , gives me 6 days to claw it back which is why my weigh in is Saturdays@bubbs - you certainly did stock up didnt you? lol. I did last year but then I was working all over the holidays and different shifts and a lot got wasted, so this year I stuck to enough for the holiday period - apart from onions and shallots - filled my boots with those
Well done on the loss
@maman, you will get there, you always do. Just it seems to take forever when its just a small amount. Starting with a big loss ahead was a lot easier@beanielou , a match made by the devil you mean lol. I hate sprouts , I call then plate decoration , I put them on the plate and then throw them in the bin
@jellybaby, just trust that it will all come out in the wash and you will have a lovely holiday
OMG what a morning in town today. I was up at 4 and it was raining so I thought great, a thaw - how wrong was I? Just stepping outside the door I near went over, just grabbed the side of mums car in time. The town was lethal. If you couldnt walk on the road you were scuppered. I had to go to the chemist to pick up prescriptions for both me and mum and the car park was glass. I parked in the bay closest to the door, but still took me 5 mins to get to the door. Our consultant had put up a text warning us about the path to the clubhouse but just getting to the path was a logistical nightmare. Going to be worse tomorrow, cos we have had a freezing fog all afternoon
1.5 loss which gets me back to target - yayyyyyy. Top of target but back to target. What Im really happy about is the Christmas gain has gone. Last year, even though I didnt go above target, i was struggling to shift it all through January . Now I feel Im on a better footing
Tbh I was a bit disappointed it was only 1.5 as I really had stayed on plan all week - and not had any alcohol and barely any diet pepsi , which I usually guzzle . So this week Im going to try and get water into me , I barely take a drink during the day
Today I had HM curried parsnip soup and two open sandwiches as there was only nimble in the house and one slice of that wouldnt fill a hole in a tooth , topped with loads of salad and polish smoked turkey slices
Tonight its chilli salmon pasta with spinach so a syn free day today1 -
Thanks Maman and Weekendsaway.
Ahh i see why now then Maman.
Well done in your loss Weekendsaway, that's 3 packs of butter and you are back in target 😁😁 yes i really did stock up 😂 i will have enough potatoes till we come back here in March if not beyond.
Funnily enough drinking fluids and eating enough was talk at group this week, 1 lady has not been able to eat all week only soup, yogurt etc as she had 2 teeth out and stitches and gained and she said always when i am ill i have a gain through not eating enough, My friend does not drink, i can't imagine not drinking as i am a BIG drinker always have been, she can go all day without a drink.
Food looks nice weekendsaway 😋

Late one from me. Have been to WI craft group and lunch with old neighbours. Then came home via DS1s as DH and DD were there helping tile the bathroom.Breakfast was an apple and I took a skinny bar with me. Had a black bean and sweetcorn burrito for lunch with a decaf Americano and water. Then had the LO Mexican mince when I got home as DH and DD had McDs. Think I’m just within syns for the day. Hoping my belly copes with all the beans 😳Well done on the losses @Jellybaby, @weekendsaway and @bubbs
Sorry things are a little stressful for you @Jellybaby hope you can sort things out soon. I’ve never had sprouts and white sauce - is it a thing that I’ve been missing?
Perishing cold here but sounds like it’ll be warming up soon hopefully. I’m looking forward to roast chicken tomorrow mmmmmCross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings0 -
Hi everyone,
Hope you're all okay today? Cold here and I haven't been outside apart from to the recycling bin lol. DH went back to DS1's today to help again with the tiling, so it's been a nice quiet day for me. Have finished a crafting project - very wonky - first time quilting - but I now know what my weaknesses are hahaha.
Food today:
B - poached egg, ham, baked beans - P, free
L - apple(!) - S (tbf I was busy stitching and didn't realise the time)
D - roast chicken, roasties, carrots, tenderstem broccoli - P, free, S
HEA - milk
HEA - red leicester cheese
Syns - skinny whip 4
May have a small glass of wine later but as we only had red open and it's chicken, I may not!

I don't want to encourage you to have syns @Coxy11 but I'm having Sauvignon Blanc with beef so who cares! 🤣
I meant to ask what you were knitting the other day but now you've moved on to quilting. I like knitting but don't want to make jumpers or anything like that. I'm going to start a hot water bottle cover to give (with a hot water bottle of course) to the food bank. Always welcome at this time of the year. 🥶
Today's plan -
B- HEB porridge, red fruit (S), banana (F), HEA milk
L- ham salad (P, S), lentil soup (P, S)
D- beef in 'red wine' (P, S), roasties (F), veg (S)
Syns - LTL mayo 1, cornflour 1, weekend wine 😁0
