Bubbs how do you make the pork pie? Is it tinned ham and a heb wrap?I’ve gone a bit off piste over the weekend and today….but hopefully not too badly.Saturday was a picky tea using all the bits of party food left over in the freezer. I did do stuffed peppers with some leftover pork casserole mixed with cous cous to absorb any juices. They were delicious- I’d forgotten how I enjoyed peppers stuffed with all sorts of things. I need to get back to cooking them. Yesterday was a roast at a relatives but I passed on sticky toffee pudding 😇 Today I had a voucher for a buy one get one free cream tea at John L. It would have been rude not to so I took a friend who needed cheering up. We had a lovely time. I found it impossible to syn the food I’ve had over the last few days but I did what I could in damage limitation. I enjoyed it and am not going to best myself up about it but get straight act on plan tomorrow.Well done those who’ve managed to stick with it and loose 👏January spends - £587.580

Welcome @Pennypincin . What a fantastic loss you had. Hopefully now you are back you will get it shifted again and learn how to keep it off. @maman is an old hand at this and knows she has to keep on plan more often then not. Im still learning that bit
Another "nice" day here, mild and pretty dry, bit overcast but the sun is doing its best. Got a lovely walk in, got 2.5 miles in , in less then an hour which when Im walking Buddy is good going
@manan, I decided you were right about the cake, so I ate the last mince pie last night
Just had brunch which was the same as yesterday, but with a banana as well cos I was really hungry. Im not one for bananas but I really enjoyed it sliced up and stirred up with everything else. Still dont think I could eat a banana straight from the skin thoughLast nights dinner was lush, all three of us tucked in which is a win straight away. I checked it for syns and it was 1 syn for 1tablespoon of sriracha - and I had barely a teaspoon. Whilst in Lidl I found a jar of grilled peppers . Now they also do grilled olives as well which are to die for, so I lifted a jar, and OMG - amazing. Being grilled they have a smokey/meatyness about them, completely different to the roasted - really recommend

Hi all,
Welcome @Pennypincin to our lovely supportive thread x
Great walking @weekendsaway - I'm missing walking and need to get back to it. I walked home from knit and natter yesterday despite DH saying he would pick me up. I just miss being out in the fresh air. Only a mile, but something at least!
Set Mum's smart tv up yesterday morning and resisted the cake she plonked beside my cup of tea - such a feeder and the source of all my food issues. Meal change last night as DH couldn't get sage leaves for the saltimbocca in A!di, so I did a chilli and prawn linguine. May have overdone it on the chilli flakes but it was nice.
Today's food:
B - fruit n fibre, blueberries, vanilla ff yog - HEB, S, 1
L - lo roast chicken, pickles, beetroot, JP, 1 tbsp light mayo - P, S, free, 3(?)
D - SW easy chicken curry with rice - free
HEA - milk
Syns - mayo plus a skinny bar so 7(?) total
Have a good day all

Thanks Bubb. I’ve never seen pease pudding….I might give it a go.I actually thought I’d posted yesterday but can’t find it anywhere. Apologies if it’s turned up elsewhere.
I went off track a bit over weekend. We used all the buffet food left in the freezer from Christmas and it wasn’t SW friendly….neither was the bogof cream tea I had with my friend yesterday. It will be what it will be. Instead of weighing yesterday which is a week from me starting over again I’ve decided to keep my weigh day on a Wednesday. So tomorrow will be the day.
I’ve made a pan of chicken, lentil and vegetable soup today which is delicious and will see me through a few lunches.Breakfast- bacon, egg and beans
dinner - soup
tea - turkey, carrots, cauliflower and roast potatoes 6 synsJanuary spends - £587.581 -
Thank you everyone.
It does seem like a supportive thread so far and I'm impressed.
Today so far I've just had fruit and water as I overslept and had to rush to put the rubbish out and then onto college for the gcse maths class.
I even managed to take a banana plus a bottle of water in with me to eat
I will post the rest of the meals soon as I'm not sure what I'm doing.Decluttering campaign 2023

You'll be pleased to know @Coxy11 that the LTL mayo is only half a syn per tablespoon.😁 That's for the Aldi one that I use and other supermarket brands. Hellman's is 1 syn.
My mother was a feeder too. When we stayed with her, she always managed to fit in an extra meal. She had the habit of having the evening meal really early (about 5.30 pm) and then about 8pm it was time for supper! That was usually cheese and crackers or something with toast or a sandwich with crisps and that was without the bowls of sweets, cakes and biscuits that were always offered.
It's very mse to eat up the Christmas leftovers @weekendsaway. When you think there are about 30 syns in a bottle of wine then you're doing really well. Same with you eating up the LO buffet food @milann although probably best to forget the syns and move on like you've done. 👍🏼 I'm not sure where @bubbs buys the pease pudding, but I want to try the recipe out too.
You seem to be well on track for WI @Bluegreen. I know it's not the official SW way but I don't feel the need for syns every day but I do like something to look forward too at the weekend. So I always have high syn days Friday evening to Sunday and cut back during the week.
Well done for taking something with you @Pennnypincin, that's mse and SW friendly! it would have been so easy to just grab something synful in a coffee shop. I find that satsumas are good for on the go too.
We'd run out of the frozen berries so I just had a banana with my breakfast. I made up for the lack of Speed at lunchtime though. It was the same LOs as yesterday but only 2 small potatoes.
Today's plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA1 milk, banana (F)
L- ham (P), fried veg and pickles (S,F)
D- Spaghetti Bolognese (P,S,F), HEA2 Parmesan

Afternoon all 😁
I buy pease pudding in Sainsburys, apart from tesco, all the major supermarkets sell it, it is with the tinned veg.
Pennypinchin, hope we continue to be helpful to you 😁
I have been doctors today for routine BP check, 127/74 , how about that?! 😁😁 When i was there in October i was going to be referred to hospital, i mentioned i had not heard anything, just had a message for me to ring them and chase it up which i have done, there is 10-11 MTHS wait, just to get an appointment to see them 😱😱 good job it's not really important, i have lived with it for 4 1/2 yrs so another 18 months won't hurt 🤣as tbh i didn't think they would do anything about it anyway.
Food today
Rest of the carrot and corriander soup, pork pie and watermelon
Tea is sausage casserole, 1.5 for sausages and veg

Going to admit to having to google that BP reading as I really have no clue about such things. Well done on being in the 'normal' range @bubbs - good stuff xx
The mayo was only 'light' @maman so hoping not more than 3 syns and tbh I didn't eat the whole tbsp, probably more like a dsp.
Does anyone happen to have the recipe for SW speedy tomato soup? It's the one with tinned carrots and pickled onions in it. Just have a hankering for soup and really fancy this one! Here you go
- 2 carrots, peeled and roughly chopped
- 2 x 400g cans chopped tomatoes
- ½ x 400g can haricot beans, drained and rinsed
- 6 pickled silverskin onions
- 600ml vegetable stock, suitable for vegans
- 1 tbsp tomato purée
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, or Henderson’s relish to make it vegetarian/vegan
- 1 level tsp sweetener granules
- Put all the ingredients in a large non-stick saucepan and simmer for 20 minutes, or until the carrots are soft.
- Remove from the heat and blitz until smooth with a stick blender (or use a food processor and return to the pan).
- Season to taste and divide between 4 bowls.
I hear tell you can use a small tin of carrots
