Evening everyone, how interesting to read your posts.
I've had a good first day. I had oats/fruit/quark for breakfast, but haven't planned a menu yet.
I did boil six eggs before going to a U3A talk about Burma this afternoon, I put two in my backpack to eat on the bus on the way home but it was crammed and I hadn't peeled them! I need to sit down and write a week's menu, then a shopping list, I do like knowing what to eat each day.
I used to be great crisp eater, but went to Madeira over Christmas. I was on my own, and stopped at several coffee bars for an expresso, and would regularly be given a tiny pot of horribly stale crisps. I did eat them occasionally, but remembering the taste of the stale ones, it's certainly stopped my cravings!

Loss of 1.5lb this week so now weigh 10st 12. Would have liked to have lost 2lb but considering I lost track for two days over the weekend and have had a few treats this week I reckon that 1.5lb off is more than I could have expected!I’m out for the ballet, dinner & drinks tomorrow and a chippy at the beach for MIL’s birthday on Sunday so will need to be on plan the rest of the time! We are going to a Japanese restaurant tomorrow though which should be fairly healthy.Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

Afternoon all 😁😁
Youth_leader glad you had a good first day , yes plannning is the key. I don't plan my meals as such , but when i go shopping i look see if i need anything and then know i have everything but i usually know the day before whats for tea.
Well done Bluegreen, that's a fab loss 👏👏 but we always want more 😂 Have a lovely day with the ballet and eating out.
Well my morning didn't start well, i went to drop a delivery off and don't usually go school run time , now i know why! I was crawling along about 15mph when a child opened there door on me, the noise 😱😱 it was so loud, they smashed the whole of my wing mirror. Tbf the guy was lovely, he shouted at his daughter and off she toddled to school.
He said straight away i will pay for it, we exchanged numbers and he sent me a video as i couldn't get out because of the traffic, then i realised i didn't take his reg! It really shook me up i couldn't even get his number in my phone 🙈 he did it for me and rang it to prove it was a number, then i asked him to send me the video. I warned him it wasn't cheap as this is the 2nd time i have had this wing mirror replaced due to someone else!
When i got home i rang the garage i always us, £408!!, though oh i'll ring Nissan £579!! anyway i called him and he said that's fine and transferred the money, it's booked in for Tuesday.
When we was talking he said his daughter had just rang him to check i was ok as she had walked off 🥰 how sweet was that of her?
Anyway food
cheese and mushroom omelette , side salad

@pennypincin , its tough at the start, everything is, but there must have been something that got you here initially. We can help you. I remember my first week and I was starved. Im like how can I be starved when EVERYONE says they never go hungry?? And Im not a stupid woman, but for some reason I got completely overwhelmed with it all and messed right up. So I got myself to group - mid week, not the Saturday one I started on, and said look Im struggling, this isn't working, and I got the help I needed . A few wobbles now and then, but the guys here and IRL, they are there to help and support and Ive gotten through. We are here, we will hand hold, cheer you on, celebrate every win, get you past the wobbles - if you need us xxx@milann, bet they were ruddy tasty though
You will get to grips with being prepared as you go along. The amount of times I have to use the microwave to defrost is pretty much a daily event
Thanks @youthleader, it's actually a big deal for me. Mad thing is I can give it up not a bother every Jan, come Feb and I pour that first drink, then I struggle to stop, I have a worse relationship with drink then I do foodBut it is what it is
Don't knock stale crisps, I was so gagging for some one time I found a packet that had been opened in the bar when we had friends around 2 or 3 weeks previously - I ate themGood on you for planning ahead so you weren't tempted whilst out, and yes some sort of meal plan is needed to succeed. I plan loosely. Like I know what's for dinner and breakfast ( I eat the same breakfast daily ) so Im aware as to if I can have bread or cheese or whatever for a snack mid afternoon@Bluegreen143 - 1.5lb is a great loss. The NHS don't reccomend a loss of any more in a week for sustainability . A pound /pound and a half means you are making changes that are simple, and won't leave you feeling like you are deprived and you can carry it on long term. But I hear you, I always have fingers crossed for 2lb, think Ive only done that twiceRotten luck there @bubbs but at least the fella was decent enough and you can get it sorted.without losing outBeen so busy today in work that I was really late getting out but its all swings and roundabouts, Ill get it back on a quiet day. I can not believe that Im there cooking pastries and cakes, the smells are amazing, as well as the sausages, bacon, breads, chicken etc - and I don't take anyI make do with licking the spoon I have used to drizzle the white chocolate over the scones and that's it. Wish I had as much control late nights .............
Being late out meant all behind, we were heading into town to sort out our phone contracts, so I went on an empty stomach - not wise. Got into town and DH said "KFC?" I knew he really wanted one so I said you get and I'll pick so I had a wee mini fillet from his gravy box. No bigger than a wee finger and about two fingers wide. Im not even going to syn it it was that small. Im now holding out till dinner, I having air fried fish and chips as its FridayWeigh in tomorrow ............0 -
Hi all,
Well done on the 1.5lb loss @Bluegreen143 and have a fab weekend. Japanese sounds amazing.
That's terrible about the wing mirror @bubbs but really decent of the guy to pay straight away.
Well done on your restraint @weekendsaway - not sure (if like shop fish n chips) if KFC is syn free without the coating, but then again, it's ALL about the coating!
Meal planning will definitely help you @youth_leader even if loosely. Will stop you grabbing for just anything if you've a plan in place.
I had a busy day. DH and I met the ILs for coffee and cake - but I stuck to just coffeethen I went to my DSis's house. She's got a tummy issue and wasn't eating so I just had 3 heroes and a cuppa then came home for 4.30pm and had a protein thin bagel and some sardines in tomato sauce which I'm hoping are free. It's steak, chips, portabello mushroom, vine tomatoes and peas tonight so once again I'm on track with syns as just the chocs (7.5?) bagel (6?) and 1 syn for yog at breakfast.
Going to try park run again tomorrow if I can organise myself tonight.
Have a good evening all

Weekendsaway, yes i was very lucky he was so nice , when i spoke to him on the phone he said i didn't want to put through insurance as i own a roofing business and will really affect the price and i was def not putting it through my insurance, if needs of must i would have paid it out as you really don't realise how much you DO use them till it's not there .
Good luck for WI tomorrow, i also have WI, been good so not expecting a gain, maintain would be fine but secretly i want 1lb to get me right back at bottom of target 😂Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance:0
