Enjoy your holiday @joedenise. Except for this Saturday, the weather is looking good. Next week it's supposed to be sunny and in the 20s so pack your sun cream! 😎 Hope your MH fridge doesn't play up.🤞🏼 Do post when you can as it's nice to travel around vicariously even if the food isn't SW friendly.😁

A real holiday is better though @Jellybaby, hope you find something to suit. It's about 7 weeks before we go away so I've got time for another WI before then. Well done for staying on plan. Another loss this Saturday would be great.

I stayed on plan all day yesterday despite the funeral and really feeling like midweek wine syns. I made myself go to my dance class in the evening which kept me busy and away from temptation. I had just one square of DH's chocolate when I got back with a cup of tea. It's only about 1 syn at a time but it's becoming a habit.

Still leftover lunches here. Today was the last of Sunday's veg but I'll have more after tonight's dinner. I cook extra deliberately as I really enjoy the hash/bubble & squeak with cold meat and pickles but it's usually just a couple of times a week. Hooray for veg wars! 👍🏼

Tonight's gravy is from HB steaks so I'm counting it as free. More LOs! 🤣

    Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk, eggs, bacon (P), baked beans (F)
L- ham, LO veg and pickles (P,F,S)
D- liver, bacon (P), mash (F), onions, carrots, cauli and broccoli
    Syns- Probably 1 for chocolate😉

One syn for a square of chocolate is far better than the 6 for a glass of wine and if you're anything like me it will likely be 2 or 3 glasses!

That was my thinking too @joedenise. DH always breaks his 70% bar into 8 pieces and leaves 1 for me. To be fair, I always have the biggest piece! 🥰

Thanks @bubbs.  Looks like they'll be bigger than the WW ones which are tiny!

    Morning all,

Thanks for all your good wishes. I was working yesterday and boy was it busy, but all good. I took a pot of orzo, feta cheese, pickled red cabbage, (a little) pickled pink onion, and yellow pepper plus usual breakfast and fruit snacks. Got on the train home and realised no Skinny bar! Was distraught lol!

I didn't lose a single lb whilst away despite all the mileage. No matter though. I know what I need to do. Think DSis has had the 'jabs' as she's managed to lose 3st since September. She's not said but I noticed she tends to only eat half on her plate and is then full.

Day off today and dinner tonight is a Good Food mag recipe of chicken thighs marinated in honey, soy, garlic, ginger, chilli and five spice - smells fab. Will serve with rice and green veg. Only DH and I tonight as DD is eating with friends. Recipe uses 3 tbsp of runny honey - please can someone tell me the syns TIA.

    Food today:
B - toasted protein bagel thin, scraping of Philadelphia, banana - HEB, 2, free
    L - LO smoked salmon and pea pasta, apple - 2, S
    D - marinated chicken thighs, rice, brocolli, green beans - P, free, S, ??
    HEA - milk
Syns - skinny bar, plus ??

@bubbs hope you don't have to wait too long for the results of DH's scan. Sending hugs xx
Enjoy your time away @joedenise xx

I went to WI. I’d put 2lb back on….id missed 3 weeks and had been away and we’ve been out and about a bit so it’s actually better than I expected. Can’t say I’m happy about it but if I go off piste and have to many treats it’s the price I pay 🥴 Back on plan with a vengeance but I’m going out for a 6 course meal on Saturday to a restaurant in big city nearby. It’s a set menu at a restaurant that does the same theme for 6 weeks….the only choice is vegetarian or not. We’ve been before and it was amazing….ive never been anywhere like it before. Last time the theme was Alice in Wonderland…..this time it’s Wonders of the World so I’ve no idea what to expect. Each course is only small but exquisite - I was telling the consultant who said just stay on plan the rest of the week and enjoy making memories with family. I thought that was a great  way of looking at things 👍
They were talking about the wraps and saying that although they’re quite pricey at £1.60….rumour has it they’re expecting them to be included in 3 for £3ish offers fairly regularly 🤷🏻‍♀️
    January spends - £587.58

2lbs isn't that bad for 3 weeks away @milann. I'd go a step further than your consultant and say try to have as few syns as possible this week to 'save' them all for Saturday's meal. It may not be as bad as you think because the portions are so small in a tasting menu. Enjoy!😋

Not sure I'd want to go down the injections route @Coxy11. I was reading a good article the other day called something like 'How to have a Beach Body for Life'. One thing in particular stuck in my mind is that any 'diet' will work if you stick with it. What I like about SW is that you can eat normal food and in normal portions (or large ones if you prefer😉). The problem with many other diets (and the injections) is that they aren't sustainable long term so once you stop and go back to eating normal food then the weight piles back on.

Do let us know how the marinated chicken works out.

    Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk1, scrambled eggs (P), tomatoes (S)
    L- ham (P), frittata thing (F,S, HEA2), pickles (S)
D- baked trout (P), SW chips (F), roast veg (S)
Syns- 0 (or maybe 1 for chocolate)
