Morning all, it was a bit cloudy first thing but brightening up now but not sure for how long as rain is forecast for this afternoon. Had a lovely long chat with DD2 last night, she phoned as she's away in her caravan this weekend so won't be able to get down to see us before we go away. DD1 is coming over this afternoon, no idea whether she wants dinner but there's a big enough joint so she can if she wants to will just need to do extra potatoes and veg although I'm doing swede and she can't stand it so won't be having that!
Having checked the forecast for early next week it looks like it will be washing on Tuesday as want to get it the bin empty before we go away, also want to get the bedding changed so that means 3 loads to do on Tuesday!
Good to hear you managed to eat most of your tea last night @bubbs. Bet you're looking forward to getting your new ice cream maker. Which one have you gone for? It's something I keep thinking about as haven't got room in the freezer to keep the ones with a bowl and both DH and I love ice cream (well frozen yoghurt!).
Today's plan:
B - fry up - P; S; F; 2
L - burger, onions, gherkins, soft pitta - HEB; S; 0.5
D - roast pork, roast potatoes, roasted carrots, mashed swede, brussels, green beans and peas
HEA - milk
HEB - soft pitta
Syns - sausages 2; burger 0.5
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Same here @joedenise, it keeps clouding over but has stayed dry so far.
I looked at the weather forecast for the week but here there's a good chance of rain on Tuesday .
Yesterday, I got around to prepping carrots and parsnips for the freezer. I parboiled them and open froze so they're ready to go straight in the oven when I need them. I used some of the skinny carrots and the thin ends of parsnips along with onion and potato to make a sort of crustless Homity pie/root mash. I had some for my lunch and was very nice.
Today's plan-
B- HEB porridge, raspberries (S), banana (F), HEA milk
L- ham (P), homity pie and pickles (F,S)
D- roast chicken (P), roast potatoes and parsnips (F), other veg (S)
Syns- HM gravy 4, weekend wine😊0 -
Afternoon.
It's lovely here but a bit breezy, bedding dried nice. I slept better last night too, so feel better in myself.
Denise, the same as before as i do like that one, so easy to use and found a code too, still bloody expensive but this week has taught me if you can afford it have it!
I have cooked a load of fresh beetroot this morning 😋 Lamb is in the oven ready for tea, along with a gammon joint and small beef joint! DH don't eat lamb, so i will make a chinese out of whats left of the beef, freeze the rest of the lamb and either make hot pot or just do it in gravy.
Easter egg cheese cake is in the fridge, the half of egg weighed 36g , so 9 syns is that right? i used half of a bar for the base in ech one as the eggs are tiddly, so 1/4 hexb , cheese spread hexa, sweetener, vanilla essence, and greek yog, i will decorate before we have it, possibly with a couple of mini eggs 2 syns, raspberiies and 1 syn of sauce , so actually come in under a days syns, but i have yorkies and gravy today, i am looking forward to loads of vegSealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance:0 -
Yes @bubbs, the 9 syns would be right for 36g of chocolate egg. Not sure what you meant by the 'half a bar for the base'. 🤔
Apparently, there is more fat in Easter egg chocolate than normal bars to make it easier to mould. So I did learn something from the SW group I went to on Friday. 🤣0 -
Thanks Maman, inside i put it as a layer , so instead of biscuit base like a normal cheesecake i use half a bar, i learnt something too from the internet, when trying to cut a chocolate egg in half dip the knife in boiling water 😁you then get a clean cut instead of a broken egg!Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance:0

Cheesecake sounds lovely Bubbs 😋.
I used roughly the same amount of syns having dinner unexpectedly out and it wasn’t lovely at all! Was quite annoyed at the waste of syns and money but it’s gone now.
I’m with your DH in not liking lamb @bubbs!
According to weather forecast our next dry day is Tuesday so I have washing loads ready and waiting 😁
@beanielou is very quiet, hope all is well.0 -
Oh jelly I love lamb 😋
Supposed to be OK ish here tomorrow I think, wasn't paying attention on countryfile weather and that's usually correct.
Here is food, ate nearly all my tea as well.
4 syns gravy, 2 yorkies
Pudding, hexb, hexa. 11 1/2 syn's so a bit over today
