So sorry the news wasn’t what you wanted to hear Bubbs. Thinking of you both.
Loving the photo of the Easter egg cheesecake. Might have to copy that next year 👍
I’ve had the family up from Whitstable. They’ve had a couple of nights in the Peak District, 3 nights with us and are finishing their break with friends in Yorkshire. Had a lovely time with them but I ate what I wanted. I had every intention of weighing in before we went out last week but they had road works en route and we’d have been too late to carry on so I didn’t bother to weigh. It’ll be 4 weeks since I last weigh in when I go on Wed. I’d booked 2 weeks holiday but will have to pay for last week as well as this week. I’m getting back on plan with a vengeance now all the hot cross buns and rabbit shaped crumpets have left the house 😂😂 I have eaten a fair bit of 8 p broccoli and carrots though 😂😂January spends - £587.580 -
Afternoon all, this morning has disappeared again! Needed to go and pick up a new microwave after my old one decided to give up the ghost. Just ordered one from Argos over the weekend and picked up this morning. Looks like it'll be easy to use as everything seems to be automated on it but will find out as I go along! Also managed to get the bedding washed so that's out on the line. There wasn't any breeze at all first thing but there's a bit now so hopefully it will all dry. Just need to remake the bed this afternoon.
You'll probably be pleasantly surprised when you go to WI @milann that you haven't put on as much as you thought you might have! It was quite often like that for me anyway. I know it's definitely getting harder for me as I get older to lose the weight but will keep plodding!
Today's plan:
B - Weetabix, milk - HEA2; HEB
L - minced beef hash - P; S; F
D - sweet and sour pork, rice - P; S; F
HEA1 and 2 - milk
HEB - Weetabix
Syns - none planned
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Not sure if it's age or lifestyle changes that can make it harder to lose weight when you get older @joedenise. I'm sure you didn't have time for so many holidays and meals out when you were working. 😂
I certainly put on weight due to lifestyle changes when I was working. With promotion came irregular meals (like pasties and pork pies) grabbed from petrol stations on the way to meetings and loads of stress which meant I rewarded myself with wine (and the nibbles that can go with it) far too often.
It can be hard when you have visitors @milann. Although it's possible to entertain with SW friendly food, at Easter you'd want to have hot cross buns and the like. Just do your best until WI and get yourself back on track for as long as you can.
Its been a strange day here with rain one minute and sun the next. I've been making some seat cushions for our new (to us) dining chairs in the kitchen. Ercol want £33+ each but I'm not paying that and cheaper ones like Ikea, John Lewis etc are the wrong shape so I'm being very mse and making my own.
Loads of LOs here to choose from and things I need to eat up. Fortunately they're all SW friendly things like veg but some meals will be a bit samey. We're going to a funeral tomorrow but I'm hoping to avoid the reception/wake afterwards so shouldn't be tempted by beige food.
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, scrambled eggs (P), tomatoes (S), HEA milk for drinks
L- ham (P), LO root mash and pickles (F,S)
D- cold chicken (P), SW chips (F), stir fried veg (S)
Syns- not sure yet as may decide to have some wine as it's Bank Holiday😊0 -
Evening all.
Thanks Milann, just hoping they ring tomorrow with this other scan date.
Was awful here this morning, we went unit and it was freezing! Had the heating on all afternoon then about 5 it turned beautiful , now it is really hammering it down again! I said would catch you out, oh it's nice now we will go for a walk, then you end up soaked!
Food today picky plate, free
Fakeaway chinese, using left over veg, beef, half bns , garlic bread hexb

Hello all,
We are back home after a 7 hour drive from Lands End! We finished our JoGLE walk on Saturday early afternoon. Very emotional and will need to take some time to decompress I think. Food has been very carb-y so I need to get back on track. DS2 was the last to leave the house on Thursday and left the freezer door ajar so that’s to sort tomorrow 🙄Cross-stitch WIP: HSC Jingle Bells Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 09/25 Currently reading The Vows of Silence by Susan Hill0 -
Afternoon all, another morning just disappeared although I did at least get 2 loads of washing done and out onto the line before I went out at 9am for my waxing appointment.
Spent the last hour looking for the TV remote control which DH has mislaid - still not found it and have both looked everywhere we can think of including in the motorhome as that's where he took it (accidentally!) - he actually wanted the Humax box remote so brought the TV one back in and took the box one out to the motorhome and now we can't find the TV one - no idea where else to look. Even looked in daft places like the fridge/oven/microwave, LOL!
Well done @Coxy11 to you and your sister. I think you finished a day earlier than you'd originally planned didn't you? I can't imagine walking the miles that you have both walked on this JoGLE. Sorry you've got a freezer mess to sort out today. Assume you've lost everything with the door being left open for so long. Can you claim on your insurance or is it not worth it because of the Excess? Really depends on what you had in there.
Hope your DH got his phone call from the hospital with a scan date @bubbs and it's not too long away.
Today's plan:
B - toasted cheese sandwich, pickled onions - HEA2; HEB; S
L - mushroom omelette - P; S
D - fish pasta bake - P; S; F; 3.5
Have a good day everyone.0 -
