This will be an awful time for you both, getting your heads around everything @bubbs.  Make use of all the NHS help and support on offer. I found the cancer patient nurse teams fabulous. Hope it’s better news after the next scan.

Well done on STS @joedenise how many weeks now until your next break? 😁

It’s absolutely pouring down here and I have three loads of washing to do, just typical. I did the menu plan and shopping this morning - anyone else having broccoli with every meal 🤣🤣 bit of an exaggeration but at 8p I got a few stalks.  I’ll prep the carrots and turnip for the freezer tomorrow.

I'm off again next Thursday so just under a week to try and shift a bit to get back into target range but not easy with it being Easter!  Already surcumbed to a hot cross bun and now started a bottle of wine so definitely going over syns today!

No Easter eggs here though so at least I won't be tempted by chocolate on Sunday, LOL!

It's been a really sun day here @Jellybaby but typically I didn't have any washing left to do!  Wanted to hoover the motorhome out today, took the hoover out to the van and picked up stuff off the floor like the fan heater and radiator and then the hoover isn't working!  Now it's on charge so hopefully I'll feel like doing it tomorrow!

I didn't actually buy any broccoli as only went in Tesco and Morrisons and neither had broccoli on offer.  I've prepped carrot and swede mash and that's currently freezing and I'll bag that up shortly.  I've also prepped some carrots for roasting, again currently freezing so will bag those up too.  The rest of the carrots were made into soup for lunch.

I've got plenty of potatoes until we go away and for the first few days away.

The veg wars certainly help with the grocery budget!

It's been a mixed day today weather wise , fine this morning but miserable, wet and cold this afternoon. ☹️

Good luck for tomorrow @Jellybaby🤞. Are you planning to go to WI tomorrow @bubbs? 🤔

I went to WI this morning and stayed for a while for Body Magic. I know the consultant as she used to go to my old group. The session was chaotic as people kept chatting when she was talking. Didn't learn much as it was about syns in Easter eggs.

When she asked me to tell the group how I stayed at target, I just stopped when they were chatting and waited pointedly until they shut up!

If I go to that group again, it'll just be for weigh and go!

Good news is that I lost 2lbs and 0.5 below target. 👍

More or less on plan today but may have gone over HEAs a bit as made cheese sauce.

Yes Maman , i am ging group, can't control anything else but can try and control what goes in my mouth!

Well done on your loss 👏👏 i hate it when people talk like that, our consultants goes over the rules every couple of weeks about, no shaming, being quite when people and her are talking etc

Morning all, it's a bit cloudy this morning and looks like it's going to stay that way all day.  The paving slabs looked quite wet this morning so think we probably had some rain overnight - that's the best time for it as far as I'm concerned!

DH wants us to go out on the scooter today so think we're going to go to the market over at Faversham as not been there for a while - probably getting on for a year ago I think!  Hopefully we can find some free parking somewhere.  We always used to park in the Tesco carpark but they charge now and object to that especially for the bike!

Well done on your loss @maman.  I used to hate it when people were chatting when the consultant or a member was talking.  I think you did the right thing by just stopping talking until they shut up!

Good luck for WI this morning @bubbs.  Do hope you've managed to STS or even a small gain so you don't drop out of bottom end (would love to be in that position but it's been a long time since I was anywhere near that!).  I'm still lb over top end.

We're going away for just over 2 weeks from Thursday - Lymington (New Forest) for 8 nights and then driving to Salisbury for a week.  I'm a bit worried about food for the first week as our fridge has been playing up in that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't so think I'll only be taking food for the first couple of days and the 2nd meal will be a frozen one so that it's defrosted for the 2nd night.  After that it will be shopping every day or maybe every other day depending on what we decide to have.  Shopping is very limited the first week as there is only a Waitrose or Tesco Local.

Enough about my holiday!  Onto today's food:

    B - porridge, berries - HEB; S
    L - jacket potato, tuna mayo, salad - P; S; F; 1
    D - shepherds pie, veg - P; S; F

    Have a good day everyone.
