Hi all,
We walked 8.5 miles of the SWCP today in driving rain/hail and Atlantic wind. Flipping soaked despite wearing waterproof shoes and coats!
Food has been okayish- carvery yesterday with lots of veg. Co-op ready meal this evening!
Now craving Percy as walking snacks!!

Morning all, lots of rain overnight and first thing this morning although been stopped for an hour or so now but still very grey although looks as though it's trying to brighten up a bit.
I think you did well walking 8.5 miles in the pouring rain @Coxy11. Hope you managed to dry out and warm up once you were indoors. How far are you planning on walking today? Hopefully it won't be raining again.
Disappointed that there isn't any cabbage in any of the SMs veg wars! Cabbage is one veg which keeps really well I find and we're both happy to eat it regularly.
The Fakeaway looks good again @bubbs and of course low syn.
Today's plan:
B - toasted cheese sandwich; pickled onions - HEA2; HEB; S
L - prawn salad - P; S; F
D - Spanish rice - P; S; F; 3.5
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - 25g chorizo 3.5
Have a good day everyone.0 -
I’ve just caught up on everyone’s posts. Not sure where the time has gone since Dh has retired. We’re off here there and everywhere. I’m sure it’ll settle after Easter. Got Dd and her family coming for a couple,e of days tomorrow so I’ve been shopping for an army instead of 2 extra adults and 2 children. Got some 8p veg from @sd@ ……I know I saw cabbage but not sure how much it was.
ive eaten out quite a bit whilst out on my travels and I phoned and got an extra weeks holiday at sw last week. I have tried to stay on plan but having Dh at home has totally thrown me out of kilter. I’m hoping to have stayed the same in my 3 weeks absence from weigh in…..miracles do happen 🤭January spends - £587.580 -
No walking today as there was a severe weather warning given for Cornwall. They were not wrong as it’s been torrential rain and high winds all last night and today. We decided to have a rest day as we are slightly ahead of where we expected to be.Cross-stitch WIP: HSC Jingle Bells Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 09/25 Currently reading The Vows of Silence by Susan Hill0

OMG @bubbs! That's a disaster. Have you ordered a new ice cream maker yet?😁🤔
The weather looks better for you today and tomorrow @Coxy11. Hope you make good progress because the weekend looks to be wet again. We've had everything from bright sunshine to hailstones this morning.
I didn't get to post yesterday but stayed on plan. It's busy here again as plasterer has returned to do the outside render on the extension. They couldn't do it in November as it was too cold and wet. We're also making a start on tidying up the rest of the house so plumber is here moving/replacing a few radiators.
I went out with DD1 this morning (to escape!😁) and called into Lidl's. I'll get more cheap veg on Friday but I bought carrots, swede and parsnips to prep and freeze and some potatoes as I needed some anyway. I might make a start prepping the veg this afternoon as the kitchen is not being worked on.
We like cabbage here too @joedenise but it doesn't seem to be in any of the offers. I generally keep at least two on the go at any one time as I think it looks attractive (and tastes nice😋) mixed up.
🤞🏼 you haven't done too much damage while you've been away @milann. I plan to go to WI on Friday so I'm hoping for the best too.
Today's plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)
L- cold meat, LO veg and pickles (P,S,F)
D- baked salmon (P), SW chips (F), green medley, mushrooms and tomatoes (S)
Syns- 0
