Hope to god it never happens to me, i have always been a big drinker since a kid..........a long time ago 🤣 and i drink litres a day! TIE sorry you missed your hair appointment, we have been today.

Hi all,
Another 14.7 miles today. Bit longer than planned due to public footpaths going across fields with bulls in them. We decided to backtrack and risk life and limb on an A road instead. The good news is we are now in Cornwall yay!
DH ‘cooked’ us Charlie Bigham tonight - one fish pie and one green thai chilli to share. Will try and catch the programme. Other things I’m intolerant to: wheat, king prawns, cumin. I’m also lacking iron. Will take a proper look at the 20 page report when I’m home. Can’t change anything atm!Cross-stitch WIP: HSC Jingle Bells Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 09/25 Currently reading The Vows of Silence by Susan Hill0 -

Morning all, it's rather grey and cloudy this morning but hopefully the forecast is right and it will brighten and warm up later on! Still need to get the food into the motorhome but plenty of time for that as we're not leaving until about 11.00am.
Well done on making it into Cornwall @Coxy11. How much longer is it until you'll finish your hike? Think you said just before Easter?
It's a good job your DH has a sense of humour @bubbs! Hope he can keep it up during the current waiting period so he doesn't get too worried and/or despondent.
DH has just phoned the hospital to get an eye appointment as advisd by the Dr he saw in February as they are useless at sending appointments out until you phone them and he said he wanted to see him in May - the earliest appointment they've got is the 2nd half of July! So a good 2 months later than the Dr wanted to see him again. Been advised to take that appointment and then phone again in a couple of weeks to see if there's been a cancellation! You couldn't make it up.
So today's plan:
B - mushroom omelette - P; S
L - eating out so not sure but no doubt there will be a few syns for oil even if I pick something SW friendly!
D - probably something like a ham & tomato sandwich as won't need anything much after eating out so HEB; P; S; 2
HEA - milk
HEB - bread?
Syns - oil 3?'LF spread 2? couple of G&Ts 6
Not sure if I'll get online over the weekend so have a good weekend everyone.0 -
Same here @joedenise. It was only about 9 degrees this morning so went out well wrapped up. Then the sun came out and we were hot sitting out having coffee after our walk. Hope you have a lovely weekend and enjoy any syns you choose to have.😁
Sorry to hear that your DH is going through the mill with all the appointments and antibiotics @TakeItEazy. I'm pleased you're off work but not the way you'd want to spend your holidays.
A stye can be a symptom of being run down @bubbs so I'm not surprised your DH has got one. Hope it's not too sore and clears up quickly.
The programme last night was quite interesting. Mostly the high end ready meals won out on taste tests but followed closely by the supermarket top of the range. They classed M&S as high end which I suppose they are but still quite a bit cheaper than Charlie Bigham. What was interesting was the comparison of food values using the traffic light labelling. Charlie Bigham's meals don't even have them clearly displayed and there was mich criticism of the high amount of salt in many of the meals despite being really expensive. Some had a 200%+ mark up on what i would cost to make your own.
There seems to be a big difference in syns in lamb shanks @bubbs. Roughly speaking, the frozen ones are lower than chilled but it varies a lot even within Morrison's. I'm fancying some lamb but I've got plenty of chops in the freezer so I suppose I should use those rather than buy more.🤔
Really enjoyed our meatballs last night. I think it's one of my favourite meals (and @Jellybaby 's😁). Last night I had HM sauce and it's so much better than the jars although I will buy the Lidl one again as it's quick and easy if you're in a hurry and quite low syn. My basil is going great guns since I split and repotted a YS Plant from Aldi.
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk, eggs, bacon (P), baked beans (F)
L- JP (F), tuna (P), salad (S)
D- gammon (P), SW chips (F), stir fried veg (S)
Syns- LTL mayo 10 -
We’re here at our site and the Wi-Fi is better than at home!Forgot to say I lost most of last week’s gain so only lb out of target range again. Let’s see if I can get closer to target before we are away again.
Apparently no need to do anything for dinner tonight as lasagne and garlic bread is being made for everyone so would be rude not to! Will definitely be more syns than the planned sandwich. Was good at lunchtime and had baked plaice with lyonnaise potatoes and broccoli so more syns than hoped for.0 -
Evening all 😁
Denise have a lovely weekend away. What a nuisance about your dh's appointment!
Weather was awfully cold here this morning, but been beautiful since about 1.
Maman, yes there is alot of difference, but when i opened this chilled one, obviously the fat had solidified so i picked it all off, can't do that with the frozen ones.
Food today picky plate, free
Fake chinese, sweet and sour pork, 6 syns, mushrooms in oyster sauce, pork chow mien , both free, prawn crackers 5 syns for 20 g, so my tea was 5.5.
I am bebating making a chocolate pudding for pudding, hexb , will be 1 syn

Morning all!
Sunny down here but due rain tomorrow. We will make the most of it today walking from
Camelford to Wadebridge. It’s 11 miles down an A road so longer for us as we use lanes to avoid A roads where possible. New accommodation for a week which is lovely.Cross-stitch WIP: HSC Jingle Bells Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 09/25 Currently reading The Vows of Silence by Susan Hill1
