@bubbs so sorry it’s not the news you were hoping for. Your DH sounds very practical and it will take time to get your heads around but hopefully the next scan and treatment plan will happen quickly. Take care of yourself too 🥰

Not what you wanted to hear @bubbs but wise words from Mr Bubbs, try to keep doing normal things that you are in control of and if you want to offload, we're here to listen.🤗

You've done well to get that bedroom painted so quickly @Jellybaby. We've got a painter coming in soon to do the hall, stairs and landing then DH and I plan to paint the sitting room and dining room ourselves as that won't involve balancing on ladders! 🤞🏼 for a result on Saturday. You deserve it with being on plan and all the Body Magic.

I'm going to WI tomorrow so hoping for the best.😊

I missed it when it was announced but apparently WW are in dire straits financially.

Personally, I'm happy to stick with eating normal, healthy food to keep my weight in check. What's particularly risky IMO is the that some people are buying the weightloss drugs online rather than being prescribed by a doctor.

I've just put another batch of swede & carrot mash on. Yesterday I made 8 portions, probably more today and for less than 32p in total as I've got carrots left for the weekend.👍🏼

    Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, bacon, eggs (P), baked beans (F)
    L- JP (F), tuna (P), salad (S)
D- sausage casserole with pasta (P,S,F)
Syns- LTL mayo 1, BGTY sausages 2

I was obviously typing when you posted @bubbs so have only just seen your post.  So sorry it wasn't what you wanted to hear but @bubbs your DH is right you need to try to do normal things.  Do hope the 2nd scan doesn't show any spread.

As @maman says we're hear to listen if you need to vent.

I really must get round to making the swede and carrot mash although can't make too much as very little space in the freezers!  I also want to use some of the carrots to just par boil before freezing ready for roasting as we both love roasted carrots with a roast.

Well done on the painting @Jellybaby.

I'm going to do parsnips ready for roasting too @joedenise but reading your post, we love roasted carrots too, I'll do some of them as well. 👍

Thanks everyone 🥰 although we was half expecting it , it was the shock and never expected grade 9/10 😪😪 the scan had already been ordered before we saw them. Will be within 2 weeks but BH does not help.
With prostate cancer you automatically get a McMillan nurse here, don't know if it's a national thing as it's a long living cancer , she said to dh say something, he said what do you want me to say?
He never said much there but said he is more worried about me than himself , i said don;t worry about me , worry about yourself .

If it hasn't spread they are talking of removing the prostate

@bubbs I think it probably a national thing that prostate cancer patients get allocated a MacMillan nurse as my friend's DH had it and was automatically allocated a nurse.  He survived the cancer with a course of chemo and radiotherapy.  Hopefully it hasn't spread.  Look after yourself as well as your DH.

I weighed this morning and it's an STS which I'm happy about as definitely put on last weekend when we were away - think it was about 2.5lb so suspect a lot was water retention with it moving so quickly!

    Today's plan:

    B - BLT - HEB; P; S; LF spread 2
    L - Spicy carrot and lentil soup - P; S; F
    D - keema curry, rice, naan bread, mango chutney - P; S; F; 7.5

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - small piece garlic naan 4.5; mango chutney 3; LF spread 2

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all.

    Well done Denise on STS

Well as you can imagine i had an awful nights sleep 😪Denise, no chemo (unless spread) but they will be removing the prostate which in itself cause problems, he will be incontinent for up to 12 mths as will have to learn to pee again, he said he can deal with that if the cancer is gone. As i said he is not worried about himself, worried about me .

Anyway got to be try and be normal and carry on till this scan and surgery date is here

Looks like it's going to be another lovely day was really warm here yesterday
