Yes, @maman I picked up some YS salmon in Tesco (yippee!) and got DS his beloved battered fish fillets in Lidl.  I’m enjoying having access to the scanner again 🤣

Well done on your loss @Suffolksue 👏

Morning all, the sun has gone and it’s bitterly cold today.

I went searching for the freezer instructions last night and ended up lost in a sea of paperwork boxes. Up bright and early I’ve managed to gather three bin bags of paper that my dad will happily shred!   The liberation of forty odd years of work stuff, amongst the usual household carp I’ve hung on to over the years is quite overwhelming 🤣

Ive had yoghurt and fruit for breakfast, getting my hair cut at lunchtime so may have a quick sandwich before I go and dinner is the salmon I bought yesterday with potatoes and loads of roasted veg.

    Have a good day everyone!

Yes, it's cathartic getting rid of excess paperwork @Jellybaby. When we had various new appliances recently, I sorted through the old manuals and seemed to have loads that had remained while the equipment was long gone.

We're having salmon this evening too.😊

It's still warm and sunny here, although rain is forecast later this afternoon and then colder later in the week.

We had a roast yesterday @bubbs although DH wasn't really hungry so it seemed a waste of my efforts. Why does it seem to take so long to do a meal on a Sunday compared with other days.🤔

    Today's plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S) banana (F)
    L- usual LOs (P,S,F)
D- salmon (P), hassleback potatoes (F), medley of green stuff, tomatoes and mushrooms (S)
    Syns- 0

Afternoon all, no idea where this morning has gone as don't seem to have done much apart from hanging some washing out which I'll bring in about 2 o'clock before the air starts getting damp.

As we hadn't eaten the beef bourguignon while we were away we had that for dinner last night with the rice 'n' peas which we were supposed to have had with the peri peri chicken but didn't as we had eaten a big meal at lunchtime so didn't need it.  We just snacked on the chicken.

    Today's plan:

    B - weetabix, milk - HEA2, HEB
L - keema curry, butternut squash and chickpea curry, rice, mango chutney - P; S; F; 2 (both curries from freezer)
    D - roast pork dinner, apple sauce - P; S; F; 2

    HEA1 and 2 - milk
    HEB - weetabix
Syns - mango chutney 2, apple sauce 2

Not sure on the syns for the chutney and apple sauce but only 2 teaspoons of chutney and will have the same of apple sauce.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Hi all,

Sorry for being AWOL. Went for lunch in London on Saturday. Had starter of goats cheese tart then half a chicken with fries and tenderstem broccoli. Didn't eat it all. We had a bottle of wine between the 4 of us and a further bottle at another bar. I then left as wanted to walk to get the train which was a nice 30 minutes in the sunshine.

Yesterday we went to Whitstable. I didn't have breakfast as still too stuffed and felt really uncomfortable. I had a one scoop ice cream and then a toasted teacake in a GC cafe. Home for roast chicken, roasties, sprouts and more broccoli.

I am really really uncomfortable right now. Haven't 'been' since Friday and no signs of needing to (sorry I recognise that's TMI). Took Mum shopping this morning and first thing she told me was she'd STS at her WW but wanted to get 2 lbs off as has lunch out with a friend planned for May(!). Then she proceeded to purchase 2 x 6 boxes of Tunnocks teacakes and a slab of walnut cake (I bluddy love walnut cake, sure she does it on purpose). She is absolutely 100% why I have issues over food.

DH also being a bit spikey and I'm treading on eggshells. He starts at the school this afternoon - 2 week handover of 2 hours a day. He has lost weight and eats what the heck he likes. Really not fair!

WI this morning with a 2lb gain so now officially 1 stone over target and feeling really rubbish about myself. I start my new part time role next week. I only have to have 3 days of office wear and luckily can manage to find things that not only fit but feel comfortable. Bought some pitted dried dates at Aldi in a bid to get myself moving.

    Food today:
    B - nothing
    L - WM pitta, baked beans, poached egg, 2 x dates - HEB, F, P, ??
D - salmon and pea pasta - F, syns for a little single cream.
    HEA - milk

Sorry for the pity party. Hope to be back and in a more positive mindset tomorrow.

I suppose if your mum ekes out the cake and teacakes until May she can lose her 2lbs @Coxy11! 🤣

The dates are 3.5 syns for 25g or you can have 3 for a HEB.

Sorry about the gain. ☹️ Hopefully, things will get easier when you and DH get back into a regular routine.

Mango chutney is 1.5 or 2 syns per tbsp @joedenise depending on the brand.

Thanks @maman.  So not quite as many syns as I'd allowed - every little helps especially this week!

@Coxy11 - I agree with @maman that you'll find things easier once you're back into a regular routine.
