Hi all, arrived home this morning and think the jet lag will be kicking in shortly!  Had the most amazing time and if my mums scales are correct, I’ve gained eight pounds. After seven weeks gallivanting around the world, I think that’s not too bad!

I’m planning to rejoin group on Saturday so will start afresh then and I’ve already decided I want to lower my target from the one I originally set. Loads to catch up on so away for a cup of tea and a read if I can keep my eyes open!

Jelly baby that trip sounds amazing.
    Joedenise enjoy your weekend away.
i went to my new sw group this morning- it is so different to the last one. Very busy and the consultant is on the ball 👍 I lost 1 1/2 lb which was ok but I’d hoped for more BUT I  did get distracted with pancakes and a cheese scone. I went out with a friend yesterday and ended up in JLewis for lunch. They had soup on, which id intended  to have but the flavours didn’t do it for me at all and it came with a big chunk of bread. The only other things they had were massive sandwiches or pie and something. I was quite disappointed with the choice. Then I saw the scones which weren’t massive. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it was just big enough to keep me going until I got home for pasta with hm veg sauce. It could have been much worse and I could have easily had a cake too 😂😂
    Today
breakfast - raspberry and blueberry with ff yoghurt
dinner - hm veg soup with cheese on toast he a&b
tea - lean bacon, mushrooms, tomato and poached egg with lo mashed potato 1 syn
    snacks - 1/2 flapjack 5syns

    January spends - £587.58

    Morning all,

Welcome back @Jellybaby - glad you had a good time and that's not a bad gain at all considering. You'll have that off in no time.

@milann - cheese scones are my absolute favourite so can empathise! Well done on the 1.5lb loss  :)

Enjoy your weekend away @joedenise x

L - picky plate - ham, pickles, tomatoes, water melon, feta - P, S, HEA

Hi all, thanks for the welcome back. Jet lag has definitely kicked in and I was up raring to go at 3am 🤣
I planned meals for next week and wrote a shopping list - actually put it in my bag too.

My fridge freezer is not behaving so ordered a small chest freezer for the garage and hope to keep the fridge part working until the better weather as I think doors and windows might need to come out to get this monstrosity out of the kitchen!  I will never have an American size again.

Has anyone tried the pink pickled onions in Aldi?  I absolutely love them and they’ve been out of stock for quite awhile in my local branches. Lovely surprise to see them in stock today - and cheaper!  They’ve gone from £1.35ish if memory serves me right to 99p. Bargain! I bought 6 jars to add to my pickle stash 😎

Gearing up for weigh in tomorrow 🙈

Funnily enough @Jellybaby, that happened to @bubbs too. Her freezer packed up while she was away. I've heard of cats being miffed with their owners for leaving them but not freezers! 🤣

Yes, I've had the pink pickled onions and they're delicious. @Coxy11 will be pleased to see them back as she likes them in a lunch bowl. Just in time for her new job! 👍

The mussels themselves are free and protein @Coxy11. The syns only start to mount up when you dip bread in the sauce and have fries instead of SW friendly chips. ☹️😁

I've got a pickle stash too. I think they're excellent for upping the Speed veg. I buy cornichons from Lidl and beetroot from Home Bargains. As I don't go regularly to those shops, I stock up.

YS chicken thighs in Aldi today, 30%off so bought a couple.

    Today's plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, scrambled eggs (P), tomatoes (S)
    L- LO chicken casserole (P, F, S)
D- sausages, SW chips (F), roasted veg, green stuff (S)
Syns - BGTY sausages 2, weekend wine

Yes I LOVE those pink pickled onions @Jellybaby and @maman! I'm going to A!di on Monday and will hope to stock up then. Also love the chilli pickled gherkins chopped up and the sweet pickled onions mmmmm makes my mouth water!

I am out to lunch in London today with girl friends from LBK (life before kids). We are going to a restaurant in Covent Garden and I'm hoping to walk back to Victoria afterwards to get my steps in and walk off whatever it is I'm going to eat! Luckily it looks to be a bright sunny day.

    Have a good day all

Hi all, have a lovely day with your friends @Coxy11.

Well group confirmed it’s a 9 pound gain but as I rejoined I’ve opted to wipe the slate clean and start from now. So, with lowering my target I now have 2.5 stones to go.

Just had brunch which was a protein flatbread HEXB, grilled bacon medallions, mushrooms and tomatoes and coffee.  Dinner is going to be a pasta bake using up odds and ends in the fridge and will also feature a small piece of chorizo.  I need to weigh it and work out the syns. Cheese topping using second HEXA.

The sun is making an appearance so will get two loads of washing out on the line and ‘possibly’ make a start on cleaning the front windows.  Have a good day all!
