Morning all, looks like today is the last day of the nice sunny weather!  No washing to do though for a change!  Looks like it's going to be showery overnight and then on and off tomorrow.  Looks like we're all likely to get some rain over the next few days but at least it won't be as cold thankfully.

The Company Shop might have been mainly rubbish @bubbs but 40p for a butternut squash is brilliant - I'd have definitely picked up a few if I could get them at that price - the cheapest I've seen locally is £1.50 and they're quite small ones.

As @maman says the person who left the note can have all the room they want for parking in a week or so's time when you go back home.  Bet it can't come quick enough!

    Today's plan:

B - scrambled eggs and spinach, toast
    L - stuffed peppers
    D - pasta bolognaise

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
    Syns - none planned

    Have a good day everyone.

It's dry and a bit blowy here @joedenise so I decided to put one of my duvet coats through the wash and found a few other bits to add to it. Although it's getting a bit warmer, the rain is coming tomorrow. It's really not fair!!

We're having a very similar menu to you today.😁

    Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA1 milk for drinks, ham, scrambled eggs (P), tomatoes (S)
    L- JP (F), veggie chilli (P,S), cottage cheese (P), pickled cabbage (S)
    D- Spaghetti Bolognese (P,S,F), HEA2 Parmesan
    Syns- 0

    Afternoon all 😁

I am not worried about the delightful car owner 🤣 Yes we will be gone but no doubt there will be someone else here. I wouldn't mind if i wasn't in my space but was well within it. He is not there today when we have been out or come back.

We have been up the unit all morning, didn't think it was as cold today, it was bloody freezing!! We have a little shower but not for long. Rest of the week is supposed to be horrible.

Yes Denise i was happy with 40p 😁 My friend goes BNS i went ooooo yea with a big grin on my face, she was cracking up saying i have never seen someone so excited over BNS 🤣🤣

    Hello,
I began to post c 09:30 started other stuff and forgot to return.
WI this morning resulted with a big smile from me for a whole 1lb loss this time, 2 to go to top of range. More than 1lb per week is difficult now I have so little to lose, but even that would get me there steadily. BMI is 21.1, but I have a fat tum and thick waist, short of intensive gym work or a virtual no-carb. diet I cannot see a way to lose much there without having a scrawny face; arms and legs already like matchsticks. The joys of post menopause hormones or lack of them.

@joedenise I thought about washing my coat too, but needed to wear it, will have to wait for another blowy day.
@bubbsgood result on the BMS shame about the slim pickings generally though.
The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)

@maddiemay, Im in the same boat, I still look like a Buddha if sat here au natural , yet I have a healthy `BMI and wearing size 8 bottoms and down to a 10 in tops, so hardly fat, but the belly says another story and only the Gym is going to make a difference there, and my life is just too chaotic to even think about it ( hard enough to carve my hour weigh in each week !!!!!!)

Im doing my utter best to stay on plan but the odd wee off plan lump of chocolate or biscuit is still finding its way down my neck. Seriously I think it's this utter draining cold that we have had the past 2 weeks. We have a wind chill of up to minus 7 some days , even though ground temps are 3 or 4. Add the early mornings, the total lack of sleep, the rain and wind,  I'm struggling. Meals have been fantastic, all those warming soups, Dahl, casseroles, braised dishes - all free, Im packing the speed in, but hey ho. TBH this time next week we will be in the air and I cant wait - whatever my weight may be

Just a bit burgh right now

@maddiemay - it wasn't me said about washing their coat it was @maman.  Do you really need to lose any more if your BMI is down to 21.1 - that's really quite low particularly as you are now post menopausal?  I'm lb over top end and my BMI is 22.9 - I'm another with a tum and thick waist and can't see me losing that.  If I get down 4lb, ie to target weight, my BMI will be down to 21.9.

Hopefully you'll be getting the warmer weather that's on it's way @weekendsaway.

I’ve just caught up as I’ve been awol for a few days. Poland sounds amazing and it’s not a destination I’d have thought of. We tend to stay in the uk though in our Motorhome but might consider it if we decide to venture further….for a ‘proper’ holiday and not a Motorhome one.
i weighed this morning and don’t know why I bothered. Another 1 lb on and I’m back where I started. I had my gks and daughter here and we have had treats and been out for a buffet meal. I did have lots of veg on the buffet as most of the meat dishes were too spicy for me. I’ve gone off the rails today though and hit the chocolate box…..I still have lots of chocs left from Christmas that I’ve barely touched. Dh has a sister who has dementia and lives alone……she has phoned me numerous times today and in the night to ask where her mum/ husband/ cat are - all of which have died best part of 10 years ago. I could hear her getting more and more aggressive because I couldn’t muster them up for her. It’s very sad BUT me hitting the chocolates won’t make things any better.  I’m not convinced she should be on her own but I’m not next of kin so it’s not down to me. It’s a tricky situation.
We’re off in the Motorhome to York at weekend and there is the most amazing cheesecake shop there…..the best I’ve ever tasted. I know Dh and ds will want to go there….I’ll try my best to make that my only treat. We will eat out for most of the time so I’ll make the best choices I can and pull back on Monday.

  • @Milann, Loved York, and the whole area up to Scarborough and Whitly Bay . We went a few years back to Mathewson's  car auctions ( Bangers and cash ) and found the most beautiful fish and chips. The next year we went and stayed in York and had a wonderful visit, around Paddy's day but beautiful weather

We have spent the past 8/10 years confined to the UK but finally had to get passports for the son's wedding, and two of us heading to Krakow, for 5 nights self catering - is cheaper then just the ferry, car and passenger to Scotland or Liverpool  - no brainer. Liverpool route, we need a cabin, Scotland we need vast amounts of fuel plus possibly and overnighter on top of the cost of the ferry - usually £400 RETURN

    Hi all,

I too would be excited for the 40p BNS @bubbs!! Your neighbour sounds like a right nob.

Well done on the loss @maddiemay x
Annoying about the gain @milann - hope you have a better week x

I’ve had a good food day again. Dinner was an amazing leek and mushroom pasta bake which kept giving (like the magic porridge pot) 5 portions so that’s packed lunch for DD tomorrow and DH will also have it for lunch.

Lots of progress on DD’s bedroom today. DH didn’t need me this afternoon so I was able to do some crafting and read my book. Such luxury 😊

Morning all, we certainly had a fair amount of rain overnight and it's very wet and windy outside at the moment although not actually raining which I'm glad about as need to go and get the weekend shopping.  Can't have a fry up without mushrooms and I've used up all the ones we had the other day!

What sauce do you use in your leek and mushroom pasta bake @Coxy11?  Is it just a cheese sauce?  Glad you could enjoy a bit of crafting and reading yesterday.

    Today's plan:

    B -  cheese omelette
    L - chicken fajitas
D - pork steak, mash and veg

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - wm wrap
    Syns - 2nd wrap 4

Had to make up another batch of fajita seasoning this morning as none left in the cupboard.  I've made a reasonable size batch which should do at least 3 or 4 meals worth.

    Have a good day everyone.
