    Morning all,

Well done to @maddiemay for the loss and to @Matron_Midge for the STS, great stuff 😊

Sounds very painful @TakeItEazy - I hope you can get to see someone soon x

Drawing a line under yesterday’s food. DH and I shared fish n chips. He can’t leave food so ended up overeating and feeling uncomfortable last night, ooops!

    Food today:
B - toasted protein bagel thin, poached eggs, spinach, baked beans - HEB, P, S, free
D - SW sticky chicken, pak choi, rice - Free, S
    HEA - milk

Won’t be having lunch as I’ve only just finished breakfast and I’m quite full. We are resuming decorating prep in DD’s room today so I’ll probably just grab some fruit.

    Have a good day all

Morning all, it's pretty cold again today but at least it's dry at the moment although there's a possibility of rain later.  Hopefully not before my washing is at least nearly dry so don't need to use the tumble dryer for too long.  Had to split the load into 2 as there was more than I thought and couldn't get it all in the machine in one go!

Well done @maddiemay on your loss and @Matron_Midge on your STS.  It's always a relief when you haven't been able to stick to plan completely isn't it?

DH was morning this morning because I plan on a fry up or a sausage sandwich!  Then started moaning about how many eggs we get through in a week!!!  One day I'll have to let him do the menu plan and tell him he can't just put things like fish and chips, kebabs, pizzas and eating out for the whole week/month and needs to use things from the freezer as far as possible!  I know he wouldn't be able to do it though.

    Today's plan:

    B - mushroom omelette
L - toasted cheese sandwich, pickles
D - mixed bean goulash, rice

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - none planned but may have a G&T or 2 later if I fancy or maybe a biscuit or 2!  Will be well within syns though as definitely over yesterday.

    Have a good day everyone.

Sorry to have been MIA for a couple of days. I've been managing to read along but not post.🤔

It seems to have been a week of self sabotage for many but no serious gains. Phew! It happens, just plod on and get back on plan as soon as you feel able.

Well done to everyone who's managed a loss or STS despite temptations.👍🏼

So pleased you got to have time with a doctor @TakeItEazy. Hopefully you'll get a clinic appointment very soon.

DH and I did have lunch out on Wednesday but we had a light meal in Pret and I don't think my tuna nicoise salad with a few slivers of olive and a tiny drizzle of vinaigrette broke the syn bank. Thursday's lunch with my friend at the seafood restaurant was a different matter. I had moules mariniere with chips and bread on the side and plenty of wine syns were consumed. Back on it yesterday and today will be my usual Saturday.

    Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk, bacon, eggs (P), baked beans (F)
    L- ham (P), LO savoury rice (F,S)
D- Fake KFC (P), SW chips (F), stir fry veg (S)
Syns- weekend wine and half Crunchie (3) at the ⚽

@TakeItEazy, hope you get your appointment soon. Here in NI its weeks to get a GP appointment- if you can - mostly its a phone call, months and possibly years to get further along - DH waited 2 years to see the consultant and now has a four year wait for an op, by which time he will be retired and won't need his hands so much - he has Dupuytrens , his fingers are curled into his palms and he can no longer use two of them. Luckily its not painful or life threatening , but causes him problems seeing as he's a builder and his hands are his wealth

@Coxy11, when I read of what you managed to get done whilst waiting on an MOT, I had to re read. Our MOTs are at government centres and you roll up at the appointment time - and 10 mins later you are on your way - certificate in hand. Pre covid you stayed with the car , now there's a wee shelter to wait in. Its just a production line, they come out to you, you do the windows, wipers, water bottles and lights, whilst they do the emmisons on Petrol ( not done on diesels ) then you jump out, they take it in, goes on the rollers to test the brakes - then it gets moved along and it gets shook about - then on to the lift for the visual inspection. So four cars in each lane , different mechanic at each station  - done and dusted and on your way. Only thing we HAVE to do is a pre MOT wash, getting the under of the car cleaned so they can do the visual. Muddy and it's a fail. Costs £38 for a test, and because they have such a backlog, my last MOT - August last year - now covers me till August 26

Well done @maddiemay and @Matron_Midge on your STS

Me - well it appears that I have over consumed by some 10k calories this week as Im showing a 3lb gain !!!! Not a ruddy mission !!!  I admit Ive had 2 biscuits, half a chocolate twist danish thingy - it was broken so it went in my belly rather then the bin and I had to sample ( both these work related , not excuses ) an individual sticky toffee pudding and it was just so sweet I didn't make it half way through . Also have had four slices of white bread - with butter. That was all the excess I have had over what I usually eat and loose on. Yesterday for example cos the sticky toffee pudding went in me early morning, and it weighed on me, all I had on top was a bowl of HM sweet potato and red pepper soup with a cheese roll

So none too happy and am postively sulking because I really has been a struggle this week and I have sat long periods with actually feeling hunger , I have been hungry more often then not all week and Ive not given into it because I was just putting it down to feeling cold and in pain and it wasn't real hunger.

I mean I know its not the end of the world but I had it in my head, just get to below target and I could ease up whilst away , and now Im back fighting getting back to target!!

Oh well, get over the upset and back on track , nowt else for it

Well done on seeing off that pound @bubbs. 👏👏👏 Strange how having some syns can help. 🤔

I'm sure you didn't want a gain @weekendsaway but not surprised as you're having a torrid time with the NI weather and everything else. ☹️ Where are you going in Poland? We went to Krakow and Warsaw just preCovid and loved it.

It's been dull and grey here all day but promised rain didn't come. Hoping to get the bedding out on the line tomorrow @joedenise. 🤞the weather forecast (dry and sunny) is true.

@maman, back to Krakow. Was there in October and just fell in love with the city, culture and food. I was so good then, only wine was off plan the whole time, so my plan was to get below target and then enjoy a doughnut, a chimney cake etc , all the stuff I just drooled over before , for me this trip is ( was) about letting the hair down and enjoying everything

Last vist was only 4 days , we fitted in the Salt mines ( amazing ) walked the entire city, saw Schindlers factory, the Ghetto wall, the alley, and Krakow Concentration Camp and enough churches and chapels to last our life. This time I want to do some of the museums , the underground city , Banksey and perhaps some of the castle ( 5 nights this visit and its cold so more indoor stuff )

    And FOOD

I have my restaurants and meals already picked :)

We have a wonderful apartment in the Jewish quarter just one block from the river and pedestrian bridge. Basic furniture ( Ikea ) but spotless and fully equipped - 3 types of coffee machines. Close to some fantastic eateries  ( 3 Michelin stars right across the road ) and quirky bars and coffee shops - super excited or what?

Only now Im like Ive got to work bloody hard for the next 10 days so I can enjoy when I was feeling I had it in the bag. Where that gain came from I don't know, seriously not a clue

So I had my sulk ( still sulking but low level now ) had my bag of crisps and white bread roll out of pure defiance , and tonight have had a near on syn free, high protein, full of speed dinner which has got us all stuffed to the gills and mr W couldn't believe anything as tasty was "diet food"

A spicy enough red lentil dhal, packed with onions, tomatoes and mushrooms, then I made some chicken tikka , ff greek yoghurt and spices, served with plain rice.  Protein - tick, speed - tick, - flavour and satisfaction - off the scale . This is Mr W's plate ( huge pasta bowl ) cos I had started to mix before I thought about a picture
