Morning all, it's a fairly bright morning now although very cloudy first thing but I got the bedding washed and out on the line and it's had a good blow so hopefully it will dry by early afternoon - I usually get the washing in about 2pm as it seems to start getting damp then.

Good luck @weekendsaway with shifting the weight before your trip to Poland.  You definitely seem really excited to be going.  It's not somewhere I've ever been but sounds like there's a fair bit to do.

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up
L - burger, onions, gherkin slices in WM thin (have run out of soft pittas which I usually use! - now added to the shopping list for next week!)
D - roast pork, roast potatoes, roasted veg, green veg, apple sauce

    HEA - milk
    HEB - WM Thin
Syns:  apple sauce 1; couple of G&Ts maybe 6

    Have a good day everyone.

  • @joedenise , Poland is beautiful and Krakow is stunning. It's like having York and Edinburgh both together in the one spot - but spotlessly clean. I mean zero litter, zero dog poo, zero beggars. Add to that the amazing food, seriously the food is just amazing, and being reletively cheap it just makes the perfect short break

I too must go get the wash on, but the airers will have to be used for drying. Blowing a gale out there and now raining

Feeling a lot better today after yesterday's strop. Already been and done a five mile walk with a neighbour who is struggling with SW - she comes and goes, cant commit ( farmers wife with 3 teens who need lifting and laying to footie, rugby, dance etc ) but she's now committed to Sunday morning walks. I will go again this afternoon if the rain lays off with my other neighbour who I usually walk with. Its great that I get to go twice as I get to hear 2 lots of news ( gossip ) lol

Im heading into the kitchen in a bit to cook up a storm in readiness for the week. Yesterday I made the dhal/curry and a huge pan of chicken and vegetable broth for Mr W to take to work, I had made myself sweet potato and red pepper soup the day before and today Im making leek and potato for mum. Also going to make a pan of afghan aubergines , a pot of yoghurt and for dinner Im doing a bit of brisket in the slow cooker. Everything is on plan and syn free and warming and filling so hopefully I'll keep the hunger at bay. Its the cold making me hungry, not that Im not eating

So onwards and upwards, Im determined.

Excellent idea to use the trip to Krakow to motivate you @weekendsaway. The cooking for the week ahead is good too. Hope you have a good week.🤞🏼

I'd certainly recommend Krakow for a city break. We went to Poland for a week, split between Warsaw and Krakow with a train journey in between. I loved it and I'd definitely go again. We stayed in a hotel overlooking the bend in the river with the castle above so very convenient with a lovely view.

I've put the bedding out too but virtually no wind so not sure if it will dry @joedenise.

Snap! We're having roast pork too.😋 I'm also cooking a piece of gammon and will make lentil soup with the stock.

    Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk, eggs (P), tomatoes (S)
    L- JP (F), prawns (P), salad (S)
D- JO roast pork (P), SW roast potatoes (F), much veg (S)
Syns- LTL mayo 1, HM gravy 4, weekend wine😁

Just been out to check the washing and it's virtually dry.  I've turned the quilt cover in the other way as the bit in the middle was still quite damp so hopefully that side will dry too.  Will finish off in the TD if I have to but hopefully won't be needed.

Oh dear @bubbs, thank goodness you didn't have a load of meat in that freezer. Sounds like you got away relatively lightly.

It's been dull and cold here too although the sun did manage to peep out for an hour or so. The washing wasn't completely dry but just needs finishing off indoors.

Haven't had pork for ages and so just had to try some crackling. 😋 After tonight I'm going to be 😇 all week as I'd like to WI earlier than I need to to avoid my birthday next month. 🤔

I know Maman, there was some chicken thighs but they came from olio and a piece of pork that i cut off another joint and i was going to make pulled pork with 🙄 although everything was really cold , not worth the risk!
There was a big gammon joint but last week i moved that into the freezer inside luckily .

    Morning all
WI on Saturday 3lb off, sneaky peek today & 2lb more off. Not surprised as had a terrible weekend (pain & not much food) only good thing is I’m now 1lb BELOW target 🤗. Not the way to do it though 😳. Not seen these numbers for years, certainly not since pre covid. Hopefully when alls sorted I can keep at target 🤞🏻
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Morning all, it's a lovely bright sunny day today but it's bloody freezing - 1degree but feels like -3 according to the weather app!  Need to pop out to pick up a loaf of bread but that's it today, going to stay indoors the rest of the time.

Got the results of my blood test last week and it's come back that I'm pre-diabetic, I suspect it's probably because I'd drunk wine the night before the test but it means I'm now lumbered with doing a course of 14 sessions over a period of 9 months!  DH did the course a few years ago and quite honestly was a waste of time but maybe it's changed.  The biggest thing mentioned on the info is that 90% of people lose weight to get to a good BMI!  Mine is currently 22.5 so don't think I want to go much lower!

So sorry to hear about your freezer @bubbs but glad there wasn't loads of meat in it.  Does that mean you're going to have to replace it when you go back or can you make do with your outside freezer for the time being?

Sorry you've had a carp weekend @TakeItEazy and lost so much weight.  Do hope you can get some treatment soon and get sorted out properly.

    Today's plan:

    B - Weetabix, milk
L - minced beef hash (to use up bits in the fridge)
D - gammon (from freezer), egg, chips, beans

    HEA1 and 2 - milk
    HEB - Weetabix
    Syns - none planned

    Have a good day everyone.

We'd normally congratulate you on an excellent loss @TakeItEazy but, tummy problems are definitely not the way to lose it. 🤗 Enjoy your half term and 'Take it Easy'.😁

I have a friend who's positively petite @joedenise and she ended up diabetic so it's not always weight that causes it. I do hope this course recognises this and doesn't just focus on weightloss.

I made a hash for lunch last Friday from bits from the fridge and it was delicious, just the tail ends of mushrooms, spring onions, tomatoes, potatoes etc. all fried up with some pickles. It meant the fridge was clear for putting the shopping away later. It always feels good to use things up.

    Today's plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, banana (F), berries (S)
L- cold meat (P), LO veg (mostly S) and pickles (S)
    D- sausage casserole (P,S,F)
    Syns- BGTY sausages 2
