Hi all,
So many sad stories, really is heartbreaking!
Sorry your illness has come back @joedenise last winter lots of people at work had the 100 day cough. Hope it disappears for good soon.
Weight seems to be staying the same so think I need to be a little more aligned to SW than I was! I have my next proper weigh in in 9 days time (not SW), so need to be more stricter this next week.
My OH broke his knee last week, he came off his bike at low speed, very fortunate really but that's our life a little slower for awhile. Still needs to see the fracture clinic so no idea what recovery time looks like. But that's my evening walks on pause for awhile.
It's really cold here at the moment, so going to make a chicken and mustard casserole, and a gooseberry crumble (obviously not part of the much stricter plan). But I do have cricket tonight so will definitely burn it off.

That's a tragic story @bubbs. So much sadness in the world.
Sorry you had a small gain. It could be because you don't normally eat potatoes or perhaps it's normal fluctuation that we only notice because we weigh regularly🤔. I'm not surprised that person was unrecognisable. That's an amazing weightloss and well done her for coming back to see off her gain before it gets worse.
It's been bright here all morning @joedenise but clouding over now and rain forecast for after lunch.☹ Hope slow cooking the lamb in the curry sauce will tenderise it.🤞🏼
You must be doing a lot right to maintain @strawb_shortcake. Good luck with the coming week. That sounds like a nasty injury to your DH, hope he gets good news at the fracture clinic.
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, eggs (P), mushrooms and tomatoes (S), HEA milk for drinks
L- JP (F), prawns (P), salad (S)
D- beef in 'red wine' (P,S), SW roast potatoes (F), veg (S)
Syns- cornflour 1, LTL mayo 1, weekend wine😊0 -
Hi all,
So sorry to hear about that young lad @bubbs. How absolutely tragic 😢
Sorry to hear of your DH’s accident @strawb_shortcake that sounds very painful x
Annoying about the gain @bubbs. Wow to that lady’s weight loss!!
We had a great night with BFF and her DH. He cooked mushroom risotto and roasted chicken breast - DH had mushroom risotto for lunch before we went too as there was a portion leftover!! Luckily he likes mushroom risotto!!We are roasting a chicken later and will have with sprouts, carrots and golden savoury rice as we have no potatoes and aren’t shopping until tomorrow. Using up what we have 👍
Apparently there are lettuce leaves, Jerusalem artichokes and Asian leaves to harvest at the community garden this week 😊

I think it varies @Bluegreen143. SW is set up with daily syns but personally I'd rather relax a bit more at the weekend and don't feel the need for a 'treat' every day. Midweek, unless I'm eating out, I tend only to use syns for the odd bit of cornflour or mayo.
I thought this would be a good week for me but have agreed to meet a friend for lunch on Thursday. She's having a few problems over a will/inheritance and I think she just wants someone to listen to her tales of woe. She's chosen a seafood restaurant and I think I'll probably want a stiff drink as well.🤣 It's only the one meal though so no excuse for writing the week off. 😁
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, scrambled eggs (P), tomatoes (S), HEA milk for drinks
L- ham (P), LO veg and pickles (F,S)
D- sausages, mash, LO gravy (F), cauli, broccoli, carrots, onions (S)
Syns- BGTY sausages 2
HM gravy only had 1 syn when I made it so not counting part of a syn in LO portion.

Afternoon all, another horrible wet and grey day and very cold. I so hate the cold, spring can't come soon enough.
Agree with @maman @Bluegreen143 use your syns how it suits your life not how SW wants to dictate. I think we all use syns in different ways. If we fancy a bottle of wine one day during the week then I just have to work round that on other days so it's swings and roundabouts really. Has been a bit syn heavy over the weekend (but only by about 15 syns) so keeping the syns down a bit over the week before WI on Friday. Really want to get that 0.5lb off to get back to top end of target range!
We finally made it to Canterbury this morning to sort out my laptop - apparently MSE doesn't like my ad blocker using Safari but is happy for me to use it on my IPad or using Chrome on this laptop! Just doesn't make sense to me. As it was lunchtime after we'd been to the IT Store we ended up in Spoons for something to eat. I was really good and had a sirloin steak with a side salad - was very nice but just wish they'd rested it a bit before putting it on the plate as I ended up having to use my serviette to mop up the blood!
Also popped into Farmfoods while we were in the area and left there nearly £100 lighter!!!! I only really went in to get some of the good value fish which would have been about £25 for 3Kg! So easy to pick up lots of other stuff while we were there though so at least my freezers are both full to the gunnels so shouldn't need any meat or fish for at least 6-8 weeks as got a few joints, some steaks and various other meat.
Today's plan:
B - toasted cheese sandwich, pickled onions
L - steak and salad; G&T
D - egg, chips, beans, fruit and ice cream
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - gin 3; mini lolly 4; ice cream 5
Have a good day everyone.0
