Another glorious day here, brilliant blue sky and lovely in the sunshine. 😊

We went to our walking group for the first time since DH had his surgery 3 weeks ago and he coped well. 👍

How did the community garden go @Coxy11? Is it like allotments? 🤔

You did well with SW when you were away @milann. I'm surprised that Premier Inn changed their beds. Didn't they used to sell them (and pillows and duvets) as they were so popular.

The chicken and mushroom pasta sounds tasty @joedenise. Is it like garlic mushrooms with chicken added? 🤔

    Today's plan -
B- HEB toast, bacon, eggs (P), baked beans (F), HEA milk for drinks
    L- JP (F), tuna (P), salad (S)
    D- chicken dinner (P, F, S)
    Syns - LTL mayo 1, gravy 4

    Had a good day today.
A friend is having a monthly craft morning at her house for a few friends. It was the first one today so we all took our own things and came up with suggestions for future sessions where well each lead a session if we want to.
Biscuits were offered but I resisted. 😇😇
Breakfast - porridge with berries hea and heb
dinner - pasta, chicken and a bit of hm mushroom soup as a sauce 1/2 syn for cornflour in soup (if that)
tea - steak cut into strips,  onion and leftover new potatoes all fried together in a teaspoon of olive oil. Delicious!! 2 syns
    Snack - 2 chocolates 6 syns
This afternoon we went on a walk around the place I used to walk in lockdown, It was lovely to see the blue sky, I clocked up 5 miles….with a couple of rests on benches 😁
Yesterday I went to see a show about Dolly Parton. It wasn’t what I expected. It was about someone in lockdown who had a dream about her and she appeared from a poster to help him. Lots of songs and laughs along the way…so it wasn’t her life story as I thought but still a good afternoon. The cast had amazing voices. I’d left home before 12 and was starving by the end of the show, as I’d resisted snacks and drinks in the show. We went in a restaurant attached to a chain of hotels for a drink afterwards and they had a £5 food menu….not SW friendly but by that stage I’d have eaten anything so I had a small portion of fish, chips and peas. It was the best choice on the menu and I’d had a 4 mile walk to the tram staition and around town so I didn’t feel too guilty.

Morning all, feeling so much better this morning, I'm probably about 95% back to normal with just a bit of a cough left which is much dryer rather than chesty.  Need to message my hairdresser and see if she can fit me in next week as my hair desperately needs cutting and thinning!  It's not been cut since early December and I usually have it cut every 6 weeks!

For the chicken and mushroom pasta I just cooked some red onion until softened and some garlic, added some chopped chicken and mushrooms and fried together.  Boiled the pasta and once drained stirred through the chicken and musrhoom mixture and added a tube of Primula with a bit of pasta water (could have done with a bit more than I'd saved!).  It was very tasty and definitely something I'll make again at some stage.

Weighed myself this morning and have managed a small loss of just under 0.5lb and am now just 0.5lb above top end of target range!  With a bit of luck I'll finally get back to target range next week!

    Today's plan:

B - toasted cheese sandwich, pickles
    L - stuffed peppers
    D - Mediterrean salmon, couscous

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
    Syns - cheese 6

    Have a good day everyone.

Good luck with WI tomorrow @Bluegreen143. 🤞 It was kind and healthy of you to share your fruit with the children but do try to get as much Speed into you! 🤣

Thanks for the recipe @joedenise. It's much the same way as I do garlic mushrooms (minus chicken 😁) although I often use spring onions to save time. Hope the cough disappears PDQ.

We're going to a funeral today. It's very sad as SIL's brother was only just 50 and had a massive heart attack. It starts at 1pm, 30 miles away so no idea about food.

Had a SW breakfast (scrambled eggs and tomatoes) and rest of the day TBC. 🤔

    Morning all,

Sounds like a lovely day @milann. Well done for resisting the snacks at the craft group 😊

Glad you are feeling much better @joedenise and well done on almost being in target range, that’s super 😊

We finally got to the community kitchen garden at 1pm and were the only ones there. They write jobs to do on the whiteboard, so we spent an hour wheelbarrowing woodchip onto paths between the veg beds. Lovely afternoon for it. They have 60 veg beds, a herb garden, a large fruit cage and two greenhouses. They also plan to plant a vineyard this year. Very exciting.

    Food today:
    B - M&S maple porridge, half milk/half water, banana - HEB, 1/2 HEA, free
    L - JP, tuna, sweetcorn, mayo, pickles - 2, free, S
D - ginger and soy salmon with Pak Choi and boiled rice - Free, S
    HEA - milk
Syns - Skinny bar 4 plus 2 so 6 total

ILs are coming this morning and we will go to the local market town for a look around/coffee. I will stay strong and avoid cake!

    Have a good day all

Glad you are feeling better @joedenise and well done on nearly being back at target range!

Haha good point @maman! And they had a big platter of fruit/veg to snack on of their own, as they do every day after school. Nectarines are a fruit which they don’t like yet so I didn’t want to waste a whole one on them so gave them a slice each of mine as part of them learning to like them. Only Monkey decided he did like it so ate half of mine! Next time he gets his own!

2lb loss this week so I am thoroughly delighted!! Now at 10st 8.5 and 12.5lb off so 1.5lb to go to my stone award. Just over 1.5 stone to go to target so still a while but I will get there 💪🏼.

Food will be on plan today but after a horrifically stressful day at work I will be celebrating my loss with some drinks!!

@Coxy11 The community garden sounds fantastic - nothing better than reaping the rewards when the crops start coming. I love my veg garden/greenhouse and once the light mornings come I’ll be back out with my coffee before work having a fettle.
Hope the funeral went ok @maman. What an awful thing to have happened to someone so young.
I’ve weighed and, remarkably, have lost 1/2lb - that is 5lb since the start of the year (did include a gain over Christmas and new year) so I am very happy with that.
we’ve had a very un-SW tea tonight of Aldi protein pizza. Extremely yummy, very filling and under 600 calories. I have no idea how many syns they are (dozens I imagine) but it was a really enjoyable treat. If they are on the app could someone tell me the damage please. Thank you.
No plans tomorrow other than a food shop and making spag Bol for tea.
    Have a great weekend everyone
