Meant to say sorry for the loss Maman too!
Bubbs, fakeaway looks incredible! But how awful re your friend’s nephew 😭. I remember back in my SAHM days when my kids were babies and toddlers I used to have such a paranoia I’d fall down the stairs or something when alone with them and they’d be traumatised or come to harm on their own, such an awful thought. How clever of the wee boy to call his nan and then able to call 999 and try CPR. I think my 9yo would know how to use my phone to call 999 but I don’t know that my 6yo would understand what to do in that situation. She’s a clever wee cookie but I don’t think I’ve ever explained emergency stuff to her - it’s on my list now!

Morning all,
Sorry to hear about the losses people have mentioned. Just awful. Hope yesterday went okay @maman x
Well done on the weightloss @Bluegreen143 - you sound very motivated and it won't be long before you get your next milestone award
The trip to the market town saw us sheltering from the mizzle in a lounge bar. I had BNS and carrot soup which was delicious. Came with foccacia which I also ate. Sorry not sorry! I also had a little glass of white wine last night.
We are going to BFF's later (seeing Jimmy Carr) and will stay over. I will have a couple of rum n diet cokes at the venue, otherwise tea (BFF and I love tea).
Today's food:
B - cheese and spinach omelette - HEA, S, P
L - toasted protein bagel thin, scraping of light Philadelphia, satsuma x 2 - HEB, S
D - BFF's DH (chef) is cooking a fish pie. He is a superb cook and I can't wait.
HEA - milk
Syns - probably too many - it is what it is!
Have a good day all

Morning all, what a horrible morning. It's just so grey and miserable and had quite a bit of rain overnight but at least it wasn't more hailstones!
Well done on your loss @Bluegreen143, you'll have that next shiney in no time.
Sorry to hear about peoples losses, it's just awful particularly when people are so young. DH and I will be going to his brother's funeral this week, he was 10 years younger than DH so quite young at 63.
Thought I was over the worst of this illness but my cough has come back with a vengeance overnight and first thing this morning. I do wish it would just b*gger off - it's getting me down now.
Today's plan:
B - sausage sandwich
L - cheese omelette
D - beef and horseradish stew, mash
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - LF spread 3; brown sauce 0.5; horseradish 1.5
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Thanks everyone for your condolences . The funeral ceremony went off well. DSIL and DGD2 both gave eulogies, we were so proud of them as it's a difficult thing to do.🥰
Sorry to hear about Joe's brother @joedenise and that's a dreadful thing to happen to that other young man @bubbs. It definitely puts life's other problems into perspective.
On the SW front, I stayed on plan yesterday, stuck to just a coffee when I was out. We had meatballs from the freezer for dinner and I used the Lidl basil and tomato sauce. It wasn't as good as HM but quite acceptable. It's 3 syns for a 500g jar and I used half a jar for the two of us so I'm ignoring the bit of a syn.
ETA- I looked up other tomato sauces on the app and many are low syn. Dolmio is 4, Tesco 2 and Aldi just 1.5 syns for a 500g jar.
Well done on your losses @Bluegreen143 and @Matron_Midge.
I looked up the Aldi protein pizza @Matron_Midge and the syns vary, depending on which topping you had. The lowest was 29.5 syns! Let me know if you'd like to know the syns for the one you had.
If you're going to have a treat, like your wine, and go over syns @Bluegreen143 then soon after WI is the best time when you have loads of week left to claw it back.
Enjoy your evening with your friend @Coxy11. Hope the fish pie is delicious.😋
Last night's meatballs were the last in the freezer so I've made more today and will cook them when the oven's on.
Today's plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA1 milk, berries (S), banana (F)
L- veggie omelette (P,S, HEA2 cheese topping), salad (S)
D- Fake KFC (P), SW chips (F), medley of green stuff , mushrooms and tomatoes (S)
Syns- weekend wine😊0 -
Thanks @maman I knew it would be horrendous in terms of syns. It was the cheeseburger one I had but I think I may be better “flexi-syning “ Like you I keep a weekly tally of syns but 30+ makes a big dint in the allowance - benefit of being in range I suppose that I can afford to do that. Many thanks for looking it up though, I appreciate you x
No wonder you are proud of the family members doing the eulogies. It really is a difficult thing to do and until you’ve done it yourself, you don’t know how hard.
we’ve had another busy Saturday but got back in time for the rugby.
The SW spag Bol went down a treat at half time and I avoided a beer with it.
Got some king blueberries from M&S to snack on later. £3 a pack so not very MSE but similar price to 1/2 bottle of wine or a big bar of choccy and defo better for me.0 -
Evening all
I was peed off with a 1lb gain, the only thing i can think of is i had a lot (for me) potatoes last week as don't have my dual air fryer here so it's normal chips for both of us and i had cottage pie one day.
Maman glad everything went as well as it could.
My sister rang earlier, her friend who she goes dog walking with her son got killed last night , age 15 😂😂 he was in a car that left the rd and ended up in the river and he drowned 😪😪
So so tragic.
Food today
Picky plate, free
Pizza and bns chips, hexa x 1.5, hexb and speed

Morning all, another horrible wet day. Could really do with getting some washing done but the forecast is for rain on and off all day and rain for at least the next 2 or 3 days so will get it done sometime over the next couple of days.
That is absolutely tragic @bubbs and so young. I really feel for her parents too, it must be awful for them.
Going to have a fairly easy day today and not do very much other than a bit of housework and making a curry for dinner later. I bought a leg of lamb before Christmas when it was half price in Sainsbugs which DH cut in half and froze. We had half a couple of weeks ago roasted and it was OK but not brilliant and was fairly tough when reheated in a curry so decided to just slow cook this half as a curry. At least that way we'll get at least 2 if not 3 meals out of it.
The beef stew yesterday was really good. Can't believe how much of a lift the horseradish stirred through at the end made. Will definitely be doing that again. There is plenty left for another couple of meals as I added extra veg to the recipe I used. The original recipe only had onions, carrots, parsnips and mushrooms added. I also added swede plus more carrots and mushrooms than the recipe.
Today's plan:
B - fry up with bacon
L - burger, onion, gherkin slices, soft pitta, coleslaw
D - lamb curry, rice, naan, mango chutney
HEA - milk
HEB - soft pitta
Syns - black pudding 6.5; burger 0.5; naan, 6; mango chutney 1.5
Have a good day everyone.
