    Morning all,

Aw @strawb_shortcake sorry to hear that - let’s hope the news from the dentist is more positive on Friday 🤞🏻

WI today with a 1/4lb loss which I’ll take!! We were at DS1’s yesterday for his early birthday celebration and there was cake and Prosecco. I also may have discovered that the mini egg choc bars are back in the shops…. Oh well! Onwards for a better week hopefully 🤞🏻

    Food today:
    B - protein bagel, poached egg, spinach - HEB, P, S
L - ?? Going out with Mum and DSis - probably going to M&S cafe so will take a skinny bar with me and have apple/satsuma when I’m back - 4
D - pork and apple burgers, HM chips, coleslaw - 1
    HEA - milk
    Syns - 5

Danger points today will be Mum and her usual ‘coffee and cake’ feeder tendencies. She has had a tummy bug this past week so will no doubt be telling me how many lbs she’s lost. Some things never change 🙄

    Have a good day all
    Coxy

Morning all, another bright but chilly day.  Second day of a ground frost so it must have been really cold overnight again.  We don't see frosts here very often being close to the sea so quite unusual.

Sorry to hear that, hopefully the dental news will be better on Friday.

Well done on your small loss @Coxy11 - at least it's in the right direction!  Hope you can manage to avoid your mum's feeder tendencies!

Still not feeling brilliant but think I'm getting a little less breathless than previously but still nowhere near back to normal.  Currently have a lentil soup on the go using the gammon stock so we'll have some of that for lunch and then the rest will be portioned and frozen for future lunches.  Feels like almost free food as it uses things which are already in the house.  We're looking after my friend's dogs today while she's at a funeral and one of their favourite snacks is a piece of carrot so you can imagine how they were drooling while carrots were being chopped for the soup!  Did give them a small carrot chopped up between them which they seemed to enjoy and were looking for more!

    Today's plan:

    B - scrambled eggs, toast
    L - lentil soup
D - cold gammon, chips, beans, mushrooms

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - none planned but who knows!

    Have a good day everyone.

You must be doing a lot right @Coxy11 to get a wee loss despite the various birthday celebrations etc.👍🏼

M&S café is usually a decent bet for something SW friendly, so hope you managed to sidestep the cake.

Sorry to hear you're having problems with your teeth @strawb_shortcake but pleased that it's motivating you to healthy eating. Try to have a good week around work commitments. Hotel breakfasts can be quite SW friendly, just make the best choices you can.

Maybe it's the new inhaler working better for you @joedenise but pleased that you're picking up a bit. I'm amused by the dogs liking carrots! 🤣 Enjoy your soup.😋

Sad news about the SW founder but sounds like it may have been expected.

I'm doing cauliflower cheese today. I make a fat free recipe which can be done with just HEAs and a bit of cornflour but I'm not going to worry if I use a few syns for extra cheese. I drink tea with just a splash of milk so will have the majority covered.

    Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, eggs (P), mushrooms and tomatoes (S), HEA milk
L- cold meat (P), LO veg and pickles (F,S)
D- baked cod (P), hassleback potatoes (F), cauliflower and broccoli cheese (S, HEA)
    Syns- cornflour 1

Ooh new kitchen sounds fab @beanielou! I'm liking the sound of the Chinese. Do you have to keep your cats in (heard something on the news about Scottish cats!!!)

True to form Mum headed for the cafe in M&S. I had the smallest cake available which was a little round bakewell (no icing). It was heaving (what cost of living crisis?) and I couldn't get my own skinny bar and apple out as would have been outed. Had those once home at 3pm. First thing Mum said to DSis was "have you lost weight, are you following a diet, SW, WW??" err no, DSis has had a gastric issue since October which keeps flaring up! She's been promised a GP phone call in two weeks time as the one booked for last Monday didn't materialise. Honestly couldn't make it up.

Sad about MM-B - yes @maman, definitely sounds like it was expected.

Cozy. No need to keep cats in but an animal welfare charity were pushing for it.
    Kitchen is indeed exciting.

How exciting @beanielou, we are hoping to move this year, so OH is having a preemptive look at kitchens, though I'm hoping we can find something with no work needed!

Looked at the menu for the hotel I'm staying at this week, I think I'll likely go for Steak and hope to swap the chips for a jacket potato.
Breakfast at PI I tend to go for granola, Greek yoghurt and mixed fruits, always feels quite a treat, but not entirely SW friendly. I like a cooked "Breakfast" but not in the morning.

Got a good bit of body magic in yesterday burning nearly 500kcals. It's a bit odd as other than a young primary school girl I was the only lady - the men are all lovely though and I got some great coaching. Just hoping we can attract some more ladies and our team doesn't fold.
