Second week weigh in and I've lost one and a half pounds. I think I've eaten too many potatoes, I've been having salad, jacket potato and tuna with brine a few nights this week.
A very nice thing happened at group - another member admired my dress, said she had also bought it in the Seasalt sale, and she had been pleased to get a jacket that matched. She said she'd ordered the jacket to the shop and by mistake they'd got two ... so there was still one there. I had a £20 voucher and raced off on the bus - so very lucky, I now have the matching jacket too! For a size 20 it's not too large yet ... I'll hopefully be able to sell both one day when I'm at target!£216 saved 24 October 20140 -
Well done on your losses milann and @youth_leader. Really pleased for you both. 👏👏👏
Well done on the Seasalt outfit @youth_leader and love the idea that you're already planning to grow out of it. 😁
Personally, I've never worried about portion sizes. I eat big meals and lots of potatoes and other carbs but always try for at least a third of Speed across a day. 1.5 lbs a week is a good average loss.
The pilaff sounds tasty @Bluegreen143. Was your beef and mushrooms a SW recipe @Coxy11? 🤔
Glorious day here @bubbs. Hope it's improving with you ready for tomorrow. 🤞
How are you doing @joedenise. 🤔
Eating out last night was fine. There was a good menu to choose from and I had prawn cocktail followed by sea bass with roasted veg and new potatoes. So only syns would have been in mayo and any oil used. Wine syns were consumed though. 😉
Back on plan today.
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)
L- JP (F), tuna (P), salad (S)
D- corned beef hash (P, F, S), cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage (S)
Syns - LTL mayo 1, corned beef 41 -
Hi all,
Well done on your 1.5lbs loss @youth_leader. That's great about the SS jacket too, what timing! That's a good brand to sell on V!nted when you're done with it
Yes @maman the beef and mushrooms recipe is from the One for All cookbook. If you don't have it I can put the recipe up here - let me know. Glad you had a nice meal out, sounds lovely
I've been gardening this morning as the weather here is calm and sunny. Managed about 3 hours which was just enough body magic without getting creaky!
Food today:
B - fruit n fibre, blueberries, 0% vanilla yog - HEB, S, 1
L - brown rice pot, feta cheese, pickles, pickled cabbage, soy sauce, satsuma, Skinny bar - Free, HEA, S, 4
D - SW pork bolognaise - free
HEA - milk
Syns - 5
Hope @joedenise is feeling brighter. My Mum still isn't 100% but has gone on a coach trip today - cba'd to argue with her!

Afternoon all 😁
Didn't get here yesterday, almost sorted out for shutdown tomorrow, cases packed, work stuff sorted and up the unit, if i have forgotten anything for work it will be tough 😂😂 shopped from the cupboards for tins, spices, kitchen roll, loo roll etc, just need to grab some things from the freezer and fridge stuff.
Washing is all done apart from towels, and what we are wearing at the moment!
Well done to all the losers 👏👏
Youth leader looks at my meals there huge 😂😂 but lots and lots of speed, very rarely eat potato, never rice or pasta , BNS is my thing and it's also speed.
Denise, very unlike you to post 😢 hope you are turning a corner x
Talking about BNS, i had stuffed BNS for tea last, with BBQ pulled pork from the freezer, was lovely

Evening all, not feeling too good at all. Still having trouble breathing and having to use my inhaler several times a day, don’t normally use it more than a couple of times a month. Have had a medication review this afternoon and she’s changing my daily inhaler for a stronger one as I have been using the same one for a couple of years now and not working as well as it used to. Hope that will help with my breathing once I get that in a couple of days, only got one more day of antibiotics so really hoping this bloody chest infection bug*ers off.
Sorry for the moaning but I’ve just about had enough on hardly any sleep for nearly a week now and just getting grumpy. Doesn’t help that DH seems to have caught the same bug as he’s now on antibiotics for his chest. This isn’t a good time for us.
Well done all the losers. If I lose any thing tomorrow I’ll be surprised as I just haven’t eaten or drunk very much this week.
Hope the move goes well for you tomorrow @bubbs and you haven’t forgotten anything. Still you’ll at least be able to buy anything you’ve forgotten.
Today’s plan:
B - cheese omelette
L - burger, onions, gherkins in soft pitta
D - pork steak, mash, green veg
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - soft pitta
Syns - burger 0.5

Thanks both. Hopefully once I’ve had the final day’s antibiotics I’ll be feeling better - can’t imagine this can carry on much longer. DH is definitely getting worse and taken himself off to bed and he’s not usually like that when he’s not well.0

Afternoon all, still not feeling brilliant and only have 2 capsules left to take to finish the course of antibiotics so will have to see how things go over the weekend and if necessary to and get another appointment at the Dr's on Monday morning which means making sure I'm ready to go out by 7.45 to get there by 8am if I'm to have any chance of an appointment so really hoping it will not be necessary.
I have at least starting eating a bit more although still not back to normal amounts and certainly not as much Speed as usual but can only do what I can. I'm still getting really breathless when walking or talking which isn't nice. I needed to pop to Aldi to pick up some eggs and smoked haddock this morning and was absolutely knackered just walking straight to these items and back to the till to pay. By the time I got back to the car I had to sit and take my inhaler and wait for several minutes before driving home. I really isn't nice living like this - I hate it (what an understatement!)
I weighed this morning and was amazed to find I have actually lost 2.6lb this week which I really didn't expect with not eating and drinking properly but I certainly don't recommend it illness as a form of weight loss! I'm not less than lb over the top end of target - with a bit of luck I can get back into range in the next week or two.
Today's plan:
B - Weetabix, milk
L - jacket potato, beans, cheese
D - fish pie, peas
HEA1 and 2 milk
HEB - Weetabix
Syns - cheese 6; cheese sauce mix 4
Have a good day everyone.
PS. Sorry I should have said well done on your STS @Bluegreen143 that's a gold result after your weekend.
