Milann - 1tsp of olive oil or butter is 2 syns.

Been off it all weekend as planned due to being away. And I did eat lots and my friend’s husband made lovely cocktails. Back on it today! No idea what I’m going to have for breakfast after the school run though as my shopping isn’t coming til tonight so the fridge and fruit bowl are a bit bare! I do have milk and cereal/porridge oats but want to save my HEB for dinner - making soup so was going to have a filled WM pitta with it 🤔

    Morning all,

WI this morning with a 1lb GAIN!!! To be expected as we were out yesterday celebrating DS2's 21st which is on Wednesday but he'll be at uni. We went to Giggling Squid. Booked 2 weeks ago and we were shown into a vast empty restaurant that was freezing cold - even DH complained and he had a shirt and sweater on and is always hot! We asked to move to a smaller area where others were dining, which was warmer and had some atmosphere! This  meant them moving two tables together. Waitress then stopped dealing with us and had a face like a slapped you know what! Her colleague was lovely though. Good food though and for once, DH was driving so I could have a drink. Had two rum and diet cokes in the restaurant then prosecco back at DS1 and DIL's house. In the three weeks I've been back(ish) on plan I've lost 1lb, which is better than nothing!!

I'm taking Mum food shopping shortly. I haven't had breakfast which is dangerous, but really don't fancy anything just yet. Will have something when I'm back.

    Food today:
Brunch - toasted protein bagel, light soft cheese, apple, banana - HEB, 1, S, free
    D - braised steak and mushrooms, mash, broccoli - free, 1, S
    HEA - milk
    Syns - 2 plus skinny bar 4.5 - 6.5 total

Afternoon all, not feeling brilliant today but did manage to get an appointment with an ANP who has given me a prescription for antibiotics.  Hopefully they will kick in day or two so I feel so knoackered!  Another sleepless night.  I cancelled my hairdresser appointment today as my hairdresser has just finished chemo so didn't want to pass anything on to her.  I've got a waxing appointment tomorrow so need to decide wherher to rearrange that as well.

Still not got much of an appetite so trying to eat something even if it's not a full meal.

B - bacon sandwich - only ate one slice of bread and the bacon
L - carrot and lentil soup (DH made it but it a bit piddly!) but I ate some of it
D - lamb curry, rice using up the LO lamb from yesterday

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - LF spread 2

Right think I'm going have a lay down and try and catch up on my sleep.

    Get well soon @joedenise x

My Mum didn't want to food shop with me earlier as she's picked up a bug (since Friday) and nothing is 'staying in' for long (sorry if TMI). If she's not better tomorrow I said I'd call her doctor. I dropped toilet tissue and milk on the doorstep earlier as didn't want to go in and catch anything!

Sorry to hear about your wee gain @Coxy11.☹ Life just gets in the way sometimes but the food is good at the Giggling Squid so hopefully you enjoyed all the syns. Have you got a clear week this week?🤔

I don't use the app very much either @milann and even when I want it, to check syns on a new product in a shop, I often can't get a signal on my phone. I think it does help me to go to group every 8 weeks to maintain access as it keeps me accountable.

So much illness around, hope the antibiotics help @joedenise and that you recovered quickly @strawb_shortcake.🤗

Glad you got away for your weekend break @Bluegreen143. I did wonder if the weather would have postponed it.

Those of you who use oil rather Frylight, is there any particular reason? I was wondering whether to try the Crisp n Dry to see if I prefer it?🤔

Yesterday's chicken casserole was a bit of a mess. I always use new/salad potatoes for this recipe and for some reason yesterday most of them disintegrated. They must have been a different variety as I didn't cook them for very long but I'd thrown the bag away so not sure what they were.  Fortunately, I had some LO potatoes in the fridge so added those in too. Plenty of Speed in there but rather potato heavy! 🤣

    Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, scrambled eggs (P), tomatoes (S), HEA milk for drinks
L- LO casserole (P,S,F), pickled red cabbage (S)
    D- salmon (P), SW chips (F), veg (S)
    Syns- 0

@maman I use crisp and light, I tried it primarily as so many people said it ruined their pans. I don't use it too often but certainly find it preferable to frylight, just seems to give your food a better finish.

My tummy bug lasted until lunchtime ish so I pretty much slept until 1, I've managed some prawn cocktail wotsits and some dry crackers. My tummy is starting to rumble so might have to find something more substantial before long.

As my OH went out this afternoon, I took the opportunity to watch a Man called Otto, which I really enjoyed but cried quite a bit - glad I was on my own!

I just put extra virgin olive oil in a spray bottle and only do a couple of sprays, just enough to prevent sticking.

I try to cut down on more processed stuff and one of my rules of thumb is not to eat food pretending to be something else 😅🙈. Eg I use real butter, real olive oil, sugar or maple syrup instead of sweetener, don’t eat meat free substitutes etc. Obviously the downside is that you need to cut it all down to minuscule quantities when doing SW so I can see why others do differently! But it’s just my preference.

    On plan today:

B - Greek yog, maple syrup, mango
    (1 - maple syrup)

    L - leftover chicken curry & rice
(Estimate 2 for oil? Dave made the curry so not too sure on exact quantities).

D - lentil & tomato soup with a wholemeal pitta filled with honey mustard chicken
(3 for light mayo, mustard & maple syrup)

    6 syns in total.
