The end is in sight @bubbs then you can start to enjoy your own Christmas. 👍
Great that DS did the shopping with the parents @Jellybaby. Who'd have thought a day to yourself doing housework would be a pleasant change. 😁
Well done on your loss @joedenise. 🤣 Have a great holiday when it comes. I've forgotten where you're going. 🤔
We've been out for a Christmas lunch and I'm still feeling stuffed. Food was excellent and a bit SW friendly (crayfish salad and turkey roast) but not the cheeseboard to finish or the wine syns. 🤣
Tomorrow will be better. 🤞0 -
We're going to Lanzarote this time. Have checked the forecast and it's looking extremely cloudy next week but still 20 degrees so not as warm as usual but still shorts and t-shirt weather! Glad we're not there this weekend they've got a storm weather warning today and tomorrow!
Glad you a nice lunch @maman. I'm sure you'll be pulling those syns back during the week. Any more meals out this week?

Have a wonderful break @joedenise xx
I ended up with an M&S JP yesterday - 3-bean chilli with avocado splat on top (more like a tbsp of guac). It came with carrot and onion salad which was lush. I made a courgette risotto last night which was like the magic porridge pot and garnered 5 decent portions. DS2 was working so I left his in the fridge for lunch today. Got home from work and found he'd not eaten it so that was a late lunch for me. Other portion is frozen for another day.
Food today:
B - toasted protein bagel thin, poached egg - HEB, P
L - apple, skinny bar, courgette risotto - S, 5
D - gnocchi with parma ham, peas and spinach - 6(?)
HEA - milk
Syns - 14 (as I'm having a rum n coke!)
Going to Faversham tomorrow with DSis and Mum. Hoping for a couple of stocking fillers at the craft fayre - we shall see.... Other than that, it's a weekend of wrapping gifts - still haven't wrapped a single thing.
Glad things will be calmer for you from now on @bubbs x
The Christmas meal with cheeseboard sounds lush @maman x
Well done to DS for taking the parents shopping @Jellybaby xx
Just realised I haven't weighed in for about 3 weeks! Need to remedy that on normal WI day which is Monday for me.Cross-stitch WIP: Haberdashery Shop Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 25/25 Currently reading Guilty by Definition by Susie Dent0 -
Another day has whizzed by, have 2 days to catch up with now.
@maman I will look out for that creme fraiche, best found locally is 40% less fat. Not had a crunchie bar for years
your Christmas lunch sounds as if it would be so tasty.
@bubbs Belgian bun - great big ones sold in 1 of the bakers here, I just try not to look. Well done getting all the orders completed.
@Coxy11 I hope that your DH had encouraging news from Doctors, Why is it that risotto always seems to provide more food than you seem to have put in, very yummy though and I like it cold too, ideal when I needed work lunches.
@Jellybaby I have never been able to get Primula light in my small town's SMs and never seem to remember when at a larger store. I hope that the 60+ check ups are helpful with no unwanted surprises. Take care.
@joedenise I hope that you have a great holiday.

Thanks everyone , I said to DH are we going unit Monday? He said don't you think we ought to get the tree and decs up first 🤣 some people have had theirs up a month , Not that we would have had ours up that early.
Maddie we had a massive gooey ones in Hunstanton, was the size of a tea plate was bloody amazing, i said to dh yesterday when we was eating it, not like the one from sunny hunny .
WI tomorrow, i need a 0.5 gain but tbh don't feel like i have gained but might have a shock and put 1.5 on or something 🤣
Food today

Morning all, looks like another dry day and actually much brighter than yesterday. Was looking at the washing basket and it's nearly full! So have decided I'm going do one last wash tomorrow so I can shove the towels in as well once we've had our showers. If necessary I'll tumble dry them but obviously would prefer not to!
Good luck with gaining that 0.5lb you need @bubbs. Are you weighing today @Jellybaby? Think you usually do.
Today's plan:
B - bacon & mushroom sandwich - HEB; P; S; 1.5
L - prawn omelette - P
D - Spanish omelette - P; S; F; 5
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - LF spread 1.5; chorizo 5
Have a good day everyone.
