Afternoon everyone,
My cough is persisting and getting me down a bit. I’ve put the tree up in the lounge and like you @joedenise have decided this is the last year! I have two small ones for the hallway and top landing that I’ll keep - simply take out the box, fluff and plug in 😁
I had cereal HEXB, yoghurt and mango for breakfast, lentil soup for lunch and dinner is cod loin, hasselback potatoes, carrots, broccoli and sweetcorn.0 -
Yes, horseradish does go well with corned beef @joedenise. I've made that baked recipe and it is tasty.😋
Sorry to here that your cough persists @Jellybaby. Keep warm and look after yourself.🤗
The tree is the main bit of decorating that I do for Christmas, probably that and round the fireplace in the sitting room. It's a relatively small tree and I have a box of decorations going back to when the girls were little which bring happy memories every year. Other than that it's just a few bits, like some bells to hang on door handles, which are really easy. I don't put my decorations up until 20th December which is DD1's birthday so no time to get fed up with them.
It's been a glorious, warm and sunny day here, quite amazing for December. It's darkening over now but was lovely while it lasted.
Today's plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, blueberries (S) and banana (F)
L- JP (F), cottage cheese (P), salad (S)
D- cold gammon (P), stir fried veg (S), SW chips (F)
Syns- 00 -
Morning all,
Sorry for my absence. After our busy Saturday we went to a Christmas fayre on Sunday which was really disappointing apart from the most gorgeous mulled wine I’ve ever tasted (ooops). Monday I went to London with DSis on a scavenger hunt type experience day which was really fun, however I’ve got a heavy cold now which I’m blaming on the Underground ☹️
I worked on Tuesday and painted the kitchen yesterday. Another coat to do today. Need it done so we can trim up. I bought an artificial tree when I bought my first flat in 1992 and still get it out each year(!) however DH would like a real potted tree in the porch this year, so he can sort that.Food (because this is what the thread is about) has been hit and miss due to rushing around and not much taste. Hoping to reset today as follows:
B - 2 x satsumas - S
L - toasted protein bagel, scraping of soft cheese, banana, apple - HEB, 1/2 HEA, free, S
D - SW lamb rogan Josh - free
HEA - milk

Good morning @Coxy11 and all.
Back to wet again today. Bogged down in personal admin.
Gained at WI totally expected - bad me. Will get there again eventually A bit fussed about Endoscopy on Sunday, had several before so know the drill, just hate them though. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Morning all, not so nice this morning as been really drizzly but needed to get a machine load of washing done as basket was getting full of towels! Hate having to dry them indoors but needs must. DH also needs some T-shirts as he's decided to sort out which ones he want to take on holiday - no idea why he does this so early but it happens every time we go away! Means I have to do the washing more often so he doesn't run out! It's done now so that will do until sometime next week which will be the final wash before we go away apart from the bedding which I'd like to get done by end of next week so I don't need to worry about it when we get back for a while at least!
Sounds like you had fun with your DSis on Monday @Coxy11 - not done a scavenger hunt for years! Used to like doing them when I was much younger.
Sorry about your gain @maddiemay but these things happen. We just have to draw the line and try and get back on plan. Hope the endoscopy goes as well as these things can. I hated when I had one several years ago - really don't like that choking feeling!
Today's plan:
B - bacon & mushroom sandwich - HEB; P; S; 1.5
L - jacket potato, tuna mayo, pickles - P; S; F; 2
D - Fakeaway KFC, chips, corn on the cob, beans - P; F
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - LF spread 1.5; mayo 2
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Fake KFC on a Thursday @joedenise?? Whatever is going on!🤣
We had rain earlier on and it was supposed to last all day. Instead it cleared up before 10.30 am and it's been dry and bright ever since. It meant we had a lovely walk this morning but I'd have been really cross if I'd put off some laundry. According to the BBC it 'could' rain every day for the next fortnight. Who knows?🤔
You must have painted most of the house in the past few weeks @Coxy11. Well done.👍🏼
I think there can be either a lot of tat in Christmas markets or very high prices. At least the mulled wine made up for the disappointment.😋
I think you were expecting a gain because of the comfort eating @maddiemay. Hopefully when the endoscopy (☹️) is out of the way you'll feel like focusing on SW and get your head back in it.🤞🏼
I had some beansprouts I wanted to use up so made myself a nice stir fry at lunchtime.
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, eggs (P), mushrooms and tomatoes (S), HEA1 milk for drinks
L- cold ham (P), stir fry veg (S)
D- corned beef hash (P,F,S with HEA2 cheese topping), broccoli, cabbage (S)
Syns- 2.50 -
I c*cked up my menu plan last month! I'd done a plan for 31 days!!! No idea what I was thinking so things have got all over the place with moving things around for the last few days (and the next few days too!). Think I should be "back to original plan" on Monday as something was supposed to be coming from the freezer so that has stayed there and I'm almost back to normal!

Afternoon all, nice day today, still chilly and breezy but lovely bright sunshine. Not forecast to rain until this evening so the washing I was trying to dry on the airer is out on the line to finish off as it didn't dry overnight, really annoying but at least it's got a good chance to drying today.
Anyone else have problems getting on this morning? I tried about 8.30 this morning and came up with error message, tried a few times and same every time which is why I've left it until now.
It was WI day this morning and I've had a loss of just under lb (0.9lb), happy with that as definitely had too many syns last week end but cut back during the week.
Shame about the FB ban again @bubbs. Really annoying when you get banned for a specific word - assume you were talking about the brand name gin? Hope you can get the listings done quickly on Saturday for next weeks orders.
Today's plan:
B - porridge, mixed berries - HEB; S
L - prawn and scallop stir fry, noodles - P; S; F; 1
D - SC butternut squash & bean curry, rice - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - porridge
Syns - sweet chilli sauce 1 (about Tbs between us); couple of G&Ts 6
Have a good day everyone.0
