I'm envious of those holidays @joedenise, especially winter sunshine. It's windy and wet here too.☹️
Hope the Christmas shopping trip with the parents was uneventful @Jellybaby and that you got it all done. Good idea to have meatballs when you got home, nice and easy and delicious!😋
Glad to hear you enjoyed your time with your friend @Bluegreen143 and hope you didn't succumb to pizza. I think (along with planning and plenty of Speed food) getting back on plan after a treat is probably one of the most important things with SW.
Hope you enjoyed your meal out with the family @bubbs although any meal would be difficult to be better than your own food.
Sorry I can't help you with the bread syns @joedenise as from today I'm officially going it alone with SW as no longer have access to the app.
I didn't get to post yesterday but stayed more or less on plan. I was dancing yesterday but I just picked at the healthy options (fruit and crudites) on the afternoon tea buffet. I did have 2 dates stuffed with walnuts and a generous Tsp of dip but that was all. I'd cooked a pork casserole for when I got home so just reheated that.
Today will be very synful but it's just one meal and then back to it until next weekend. We've had a fry up for breakfast and we're meeting a group of friends for Christmas lunch. We had to pre-order so I know I'm having salmon to start, turkey dinner, a cheeseboard and wine syns will also be involved. It's at a very good restaurant so I'm hoping they maintain their standards for festive meals as many places don't.0 -
Enjoy your Christmas lunch with friends @maman. No worries about the bread syns but think I'm probably not far out!
I've got a Christmas lunch next week and had to pre order that - only 2 courses but dessert will be synful as it was a choice of Christmas pudding or chocolate log and I don't chocolate flavoured things only real chocolate. Will probably only have one glass of wine as DH won't be drinking as he'll be driving, although as it's not far away and it's lunchtime I may well drive so he can have a drink for a change but we'll see!

@joedenise looking on the app, approx 1.5 tsp for soft spread and bread is approx 4.5 for medium slice from a large loaf or 5.5 for thick slice. I’m another who is envious of your holidays and love reading where you’re travelling to next.
i survived shopping yesterday and my willpower is stronger than I thought because I didn’t buy any wine🤣🤣. I did see a few bits for DS1 that will be easily packed when he leaves again. Can’t believe two weeks and he will be here 🥳
Enjoy your lunch with friends @maman your meal sounds lovely.
I had a few things to pick up this morning along with trip to the library and had a quick mooch around a couple of supermarkets at desserts for Christmas Day. It’s not something I would normally buy and was pretty shocked at some of the prices!Food wise, I had a protein yoghurt for breakfast, a soft pitta with ham salad and pickles for lunch and dinner is pork medallions, roast potatoes and loads of roasted veg.0 -
Thanks @Jellybaby for the white bread and soft spread syns but fortunately we managed to eat at home before we needed to go and get the tyre for DD1 which DH fitted for her - was quite a job particularly as it was drizzling the whole time. His jacket, trousers and jumper are in the washing machine as they are a bit muddy - DD1s car was parked by a grass verge outside her house so everything muddy and soaked!
Well done on not succumbing to buying wine! Not easy to do when you're out shopping for Christmas. So glad I don't have to do it this year!0 -
Evening all 😁
What a miserable day! I had a blood test at 8 at the hospital, least i was in and out.
Denise, i will re start about 2 0r 3rd week in January, but then i have to be super organised and make sure everything is at the unit i need for shutdown in Feb 🙄so not only think of everything we need all that as well! Nothing is easy .
Maman yes it was nice, wasn't overly hot but suppose that was because it was carvery. Hope you have a nice meal.
Jely glad you survived the shopping 🤣

Well done on losses @Jellybaby and Bluegreen143.
@joedenise lovely holidays to look forward to, help you get through these miserable wet days.
Lovely weather most of yesterday, but foul today, we postponed our usual Monday morning activity and had a very sleepy slow morning. Needed to go into town/walk dog and became very wet. Stopped off at church cafe, they do a lovely soup of the day- limited amount fresh daily we partook today veg/lentil/bean, so tasty and huge bowl (and SW free apart from perhaps a little oil), the cheese and sundried tomato scone not! so tea plans in abeyance, need to magic up something light in a while.
Not sure about SW on Wednesday I seem to be incubating a cold, will not go if it develops, not fair to infect people so near to Christmas, have been comfort eating and drinking. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)1 -
What a difference in two days! At the moment it's glorious sunshine here. Rain is forecast (of course😉) but no sign of it yet!
Hope that cold doesn't materialise @maddiemay and then you can stop comfort eating!😁 Thanks for the Aldi sausage syns. I had hoped they were still doing the half syn ones under another name but I'll stick to the BGTY at 1 syn each.
I've not had a carvery for ages @bubbs but one is planned with my walking group in the New Year. I'm sure you enjoyed eating out with your family for a change even though it wasn't that hot.
Yesterday's lunch was very good. There was a generous amount of meat and stuffing with roast parsnips, potatoes and carrots and a pig in a blanket. Strangely, there were no greens but as I don't like sprouts I wasn't that fussed. The salmon starter was fine but it looked a bit strange as it was gravlax marinated in beetroot juice so it was Barbie pink! Apparently, you had to order a pudding on the day if you wanted one so DH had Christmas pudding but I didn't bother. So a 'could have been worse' meal as far as syns were concerned. I definitely wouldn't have wanted chocolate log @joedenise. That used to be a regular buy at Christmas but haven't bought one in years.
You're doing really well on cutting back on wine @Jellybaby. I probably have more than I should but I'm quite disciplined and can keep wine in the house without being tempted to drink it unless I've planned it. That means I can take advantage of the 25% off offers. 👍🏼
I can't remember if I posted about the PoN beef curry at the weekend. It was a big success and I'll definitely be making it again, so easy in the SC. There was some left so I'm finishing it off on a JP at lunchtime. next time, I'll add mushrooms and perhaps other Speed to stretch it a bit further.
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA1 milk for drinks, bacon, egg (P), mushrooms and tomatoes (S)
L- JP (F), beef curry (P,S), salad (S)
D- Spaghetti with meatballs in tomato sauce (P,S,F), HEA2 Parmesan

Afternoon all, weather here is good too @maman with brilliant sunshine but like you rain forecast for later but no sign of it yet, maybe it won't materialise 🤞.
Glad you enjoyed the PON beef curry in the SC. Good idea to add some extra speed foods to it - may well do the same next time but depends what is in the fridge at the time!
I used the baked corned beef hash recipe from the Princes website with the addition of about a Tbs of creamed horseradish and we both enjoyed it more than our usual hash so will definitely be doing that again. I baked it in the air fryer and that worked as well as the oven.
Today's plan:
B - scrambled eggs, toast - HEB; P (forgot to get spinach out of the freezer so no Speed!)
L - couscous, roast butternut squash, halloumi - HEA2; S; F
D - sweet and sour pork, rice - P; S; F (using up LO meat from Sunday)
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - halloumi
HEB - bread
Syns - none planned
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, another decent looking morning but looks like there's a fair chance of rain around lunchtime and early afternoon.
DH has been up in the loft this morning and got down some stuff to take to the charity shop (old Christmas trees anyone!). We don't bother putting one up anymore. The last time I put one up was about 8 or 9 years ago when we had both DDs, their partners and both DGKs.
Other than going to the charity shop this afternoon not really planning on doing much else although also going to pick up some charity shop stuff from my friend as it's difficult for her to get to the CS as she still works full time and I won't go at the weekend!
Today's plan:
B - breakfast hash - P; S; F
L - fajitas - HEB; P; S; 1.5
D - Thai fishcakes, boiled potatoes, green veg, sweet chilli sauce - P; S; F; 1.5
HEA - milk
HEB - WM wrap
Syns - sweet chilli sauce 3
Have a good day everyone.
