Morning all, forecast is a bit grim today with rain for most of it although it hasn't started yet. We're thinking about going to the fish restaurant for lunch so if we do I'll have the grilled sole and jacket potato, comes with peas so no Speed food. If we don't go out then I'll make some scrambled eggs with spinach and some toast.
Very sad about the funeral cortege @Coxy11. Very hard for the family to come to terms with.
Well done on your lb loss @Jellybaby and for going to group before shopping. Hope you enjoyed last night and the hotel breakfast this morning. I usually have an omelette when staying in a hotel if they have them otherwise a fry up with scrambled eggs rather than fried.
Today's plan:
B - fry up with bacon - P; S; F
L - sole, jacket potato, peas or scrambled eggs, spinach and toast - P; F or HEB; P; S
D - baked corned beef hash - S; F; 5
HEA - milk
HEB - bread (if we stay at home, none if we're out)
Syns - corned beef 4; horseradish 1
Have a good day everyone.

When I have a hotel breakfast I always dodge the sausages as the syn values can vary massively. As a treat, I'll sometimes have a hash brown or some black pudding as I enjoy them but wouldn't buy them to eat at home.
Incidentally @maddiemay, I looked again in Aldi yesterday and they don't seem to stock the half syn sausages any more. They're listed on the app as Brannan's but that brand didn't seem to appear at all so maybe they've got a new name. Which ones did you buy?🤔
Hope you have a good lunch if you do decide to go to the fish restaurant @joedenise. Shame that they only do peas. I know you'll have plenty of Speed at other times but it's not very imaginative or interesting. It reminds me of our local pub which advertises their roasts 'with seasonal vegetables' and all you get is peas and carrots!🤣
The PoN beef curry is bubbling away in the SC. I'll taste it later and see if it's hot enough.
Today's plan-
B- HEB porridge, blackberries and raspberries (S), HEA milk
L- JP with prawns and salad (P,S,F)
D- beef curry with rice (P,S,F)
Syns- LTL mayo 1, mango chutney?, weekend wine😁0 -
The wedding was great and I got plenty of body magic, my poor feet can testify to that 😁. The breakfast was even better 🤣 no sausages consumed as I don’t like them but did have bacon, black pudding ,tattie scones and loads of mushrooms, tomatoes and beans 😇
Lazy day planned, catching up with essential housework then a few hours with my book. Tomorrow is mother’s Christmas shopping expedition so need to prepare for that!Think it’s going to be meatballs from the freezer with spaghetti and Parmesan for dinner.0 -
We did go out to eat at lunchtime and I had the grilled lemon sole with a jacket potato and salad so at least a bit of Speed, didn't have the peas opted for salad. It was just some shredded lettuce, a piece of cucumber and a wedge of tomato so not very much. There was a little bit of butter on the potato but only a very small amount - it wasn't even as much as a pack of butter (10g). Only had a cup of tea with it.
Not sure if I'll have anything tonight as still feeling very full. If I do decide to have something I'll do some scrambled eggs and toast. Will probably have some fruit and yoghurt as well.0 -
Oh how sad re the funeral you saw Coxy, how awful for the family.Enjoyed myself massively yesterday. Ate healthily all day, using 1.5 healthy extras and 8 syns… then in the evening had a half bottle of Prosecco, 4 dark chocolates and a bag of skips. Naughty but good for the soul to enjoy the time with my friend. Easily 30+ syns in that lot plus what I had in my meals!Today it’s so tempting to have pizza for dinner as DH and the kids are having that with a Christmas movie as an end to a nice day Christmas decorating. There is even a spare pizza as DBIL has gone out for the evening and won’t have his. But I shall be good and make the mushroom risotto I planned today, which will keep me well within syns and be very tasty!Part time working mum of DS (2015) and DD (2018).

Morning all, it's the only dry day today for at least a week so getting a machine load of washing done. Will get that out on the line as soon as it's finished so it can be out there as long as possible as will need to get in by about 3pm before it starts getting damp. With a bit of luck it will dry if not then it will be on the airer overnight again to finish off. Think the airer is going to get a lot of use over the next couple of weeks before we go away!
Well done on your maintain @bubbs, at least it means you're still in target range and right at the bottom end in time for Christmas which is always a good place to be at this time of year. When are you stopping your deliveries, was yesterday your last or do you have another week or 2 to go?
Glad you had a good time at the wedding @Jellybaby with plenty of body magic. Hope the feet are recovering well! I think we all avoid the sausages when away in a hotel - I will only eat my butchers sausages as I know they are low syn as he doesn't add any cereal and uses lean pork.
Today's plan:
B - fry up with sausages - P; S; F; 2
L - corned beef, cucumber sandwich, pickles - HEB; S; 3.5
D - roast pork dinner - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - sausages 2; LF spread 1.5; corned beef 2
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Morning all,
Another icy one here but sun is out which always brightens my mood.I’m definitely an oddball @joedenise I don’t like sausages, lamb, corned beef or liver although I can very occasionally eat a small sausage roll or have some pate 🤣🤣
My feet are actually not too bad this morning which is good news as I’m wearing the same sandals at another wedding in a few weeks! This is an all day affair so will wear them around the house to help break them in a bit more. Anyway, soft socks on ready for shopping 🙈
I’ve had toast and jam for breakfast and no doubt will stop for several coffees while out but I’ll have Americanos with milk. I’ll have lentil soup when I get home and it’s salmon, new potatoes, carrots, broccoli and cauliflower for dinner.0 -
Morning all 😁
It's a lovely day today, but was a very sharp frost! and i didn't get up till 8.45! I went bed at 10.30 i was totally knackered!
Denise, 2 weeks, last delivery 13th, latest collection 17th, but that will be me constant messaging, don't forget your order!
I have been putting notices up for about 3 weeks, last orders made 12th, Friday i get someone message me, about 17th😡I said No, i have been putting notices up for the last 3 weeks, 12th is last orders! I need to get straight and sorted myself.
Jelly have fun shopping 🤣
We will be leaving about 1 to pick Mum up on the way, doubt we will be much later than about 6/7 back.
No idea what i am having yet, if it's low syn that's a bonus , if not i will deal with it! Won't be much veg/salad never is at these places, so will perhaps end up with a pitta or something laterSealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance:0 -
Morning all, plenty of rain overnight but not raining at the moment although was forecast but it is very windy! We have an amber weather warning for rain and wind but it's not as bad as expected. Waiting for a telephone call from a tyre company as DD1 got a puncture late on Saturday so DH went to take the tyre off yesterday and then off to the tyre place to order a new one for collection today. We'll then be going back to DD1s for him to fit it.
Not long until our holiday - just 2 weeks today so can check in online this afternoon but not until after 4pm which is the time of our flight on 15th. Seems to have come round quite quickly and looking forward to a bit of sun instead of the wind and rain! Not sure if I've said previously but we've now booked our holidays for next year! There are going to be quite a few!!! One needs to be paid for next week (going to Morocco for a week in March); rest of the deposit also needs to be paid for a holiday booked for March 27 (this one's for my 75th birthday!).
Bet you'll be glad of the rest once the 17th comes and all orders have been delivered and collected and get yourself ready for Christmas (and New Year?). When do you start again?
Things are a bit up in the air food wise today as depends what time we end up going to DD1s! So I'll put what I've planned but lunch may well change depending on whether we are at home or at DD1s!
Planned:
B - Weetabix - HEB; part HEA
L - carrot and lentil soup - P; S; F (home); bacon sandwich if at DD1s but will be white bread (8 syns?)
D - baked corned beef hash - S; F; 5
HEA - milk
HEB - Weetabix
Syns - corned beef 4; horseradish 1 (extra 8? syns if at DD1s - 6 bread 2 for spread)
Can someone check the syns for white bread and normal soft spread for me please? Thanks.
Have a good day everyone and keep safe if it's wet and windy where you are.0
