Morning all,

Weather warnings now in place for torrential rain all day - oh joy. I’m going out shortly to the library to pick up a couple of books I requested then collect an order from our local M&S foodhall.  It’s T-shirts for DS2 who is off on holiday tomorrow so hope they fit!

I had my usual fruit and yoghurt for breakfast and added 40g of the new Special K high fibre clusters that are out to try them. Very crunchy and don’t know if my teeth will survive eating them regularly!   Lunch is tomato and red pepper soup and chilli salmon, new potatoes, roasted veg for dinner.

Afternoon all, spent half the morning trying to get into Sittingbourne to sort out our holiday for next year which has been cancelled by the tour operator!  Booked the holiday in May for DH's 75th birthday and got an email yesterday cancelling the flight!  So we spent a couple of hours last night and again first thing this morning deciding where to go!

Left home about 8.40 (without breakfast!) and then spent nearly an hour rather than the usual  25/30 minutes to get to Sittingbourne and then it took over an hour to sort out as we'd booked a 2 centre holiday and wanted to change to a single destination and apparently they can't do it in store so the girl spent loads of time trying to sort in out on the phone.  Still it's finally done.

Hope you don't get too wet @Jellybaby going out to the library and M&S.  No rain for us today but is extremely cloudy.  Think rain is forecast again tomorrow.  What are the new Special K cereal, are they a bit like the crunchy nut Clusters?

So only 2 meals today - brunch and dinner

B - spicy prawn wraps - HEB; P; S; 1.5
D - beef bourguignon, mash, green veg - P; S; F

HEA - milk
HEB - WM wrap
Syns - sweet chilli sauce 1.5

We've changed from Morocco to Egypt for DH's 75th birthday in May.  Of course the dates don't tie up with the car parking I'd booked but can't change it online!  Have spoken to someone at the call centre and they've just said either take a ticket on the way in or press the button to talk to someone and explain that our holiday now starts a day later than our cancelled one and they'll let us in.  We'll then have to talk to someone on the way out and pay £15 as an overstayer!  He said it won't be a problem it happens frequently - but at 3 or 4 in the morning!

Hope you're lucky with bargains tomorrow @bubbs . I called into Asda last night after 9pm as I needed petrol and although there were reductions they weren't brilliant for that time of night. I did get some chicken breasts, baking potatoes, carrots and blueberries. They were cheaper than Aldi but not the give away prices they used to have.☹️

That was a lot of faffing around and a long journey with the holiday @joedenise but at least it's sorted now. I'm surprised at this much notice they don't refund your parking and then you could start again for the new dates🤔. Are you going to a resort or a Nile cruise ?

We had chilli and ginger salmon last night @Jellybaby so I need to add half a syn to yesterday's total!🤣 Also I've had a couple of Soothers as I've got a cold coming so that's another 1.5! What a waste!😁

DH has gone to a meeting and won't be back before I go out dancing so I changed the planned dinner. he'll have something when he gets in and I'm having a ham salad as it's what I fancy.
