We seem to have escaped any storm conditions. It's wet but that's about it.🤞🏼
I think chilli goes really well with a JP @Coxy11. I'm planning to make a batch in the SC tomorrow and will definitely keep some out for lunch. Good luck with the painting and hope it doesn't need too many coats to cover the putty colour.
No, I haven't been to the Company Shop for a while @joedenise. You're right that @bubbs always seems to get better bargains than I do but maybe that's because of the time of day she goes shopping.🤔🥱 While I usually get something that's worth buying, many of the shelves are just filled up with things that aren't very good value (using Aldi prices as my yardstick) or not very SW friendly.
You did well yesterday @bubbs, especially in Asda.👍🏼I wouldn't have thought of looking at pots or bedding. Asda's bedding is good. I buy their fitted sheets because they make nice deep ones.
We're going to see The Choral at the cinema later so I'm off to do my food shop in a moment. I don't need a huge amount so should manage it all with a quick trip to Aldi.
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, eggs, ham (P), tomatoes and mushrooms (S), HEA1 milk for drinks
L- Fridge LOs ??
D- spaghetti with meatballs in tomato sauce (P,F,S), HEA2 Parmesan
Syns- weekend wine😁0 -
I forgot to say I weighed this morning and not a happy bunny! I've put on 2lb this week - my fault for having wine mid week! I really should stick with a couple of G&Ts if I want a drink a couple of days before WI!

Chilli turned out to be bolognaise!! Still yummy. Painting was okay - lots of edges and had to paint around the hideous wall lights (from the 1980’s) as we will replace them once we bottom out that room in the Spring. Second coat tomorrow. 3 of the curtains washed but I only have three airers so the others will have to wait.We are going to the Phoenix Tavern @joedenise. Do you know it?Now need to colour my hair - it’s all go today lolCross-stitch WIP: Haberdashery Shop Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 25/25 Currently reading Guilty by Definition by Susie Dent0

No, not used that one I don't think. Can't remember the name of the pub we used but it was a Shepherd Neame pub.
Decided on a skirt from the leftover fabric which I've now made the pattern and cut out the pieces. It's a fairly simple A line with elasticated waist and sloping pockets (like you get on jeans). Shouldn't take too long to make!
I unpicked the hem of the trousers and used wonder web and they now look much better so will do the hem on the skirt the same way, sewing it on the machine when it shows on the right side doesn't look good and it also puckered a bit.

Morning all, it was quite foggy when we got up this morning. Not quite as bad now but still a bit misty. According to the forecast it's likely to be like this all morning so not very nice. Once it clears it will still be very cloudy so still not nice. It's forecast for cloudy tomorrow as well. Hopefully Monday will be better so may be able to get some washing done and out on the line. Will probably need to do some anyway even if I can't hang it out.
Hope you enjoyed your meal out last night @Coxy11. I had a look at the menu online, think I'd have probably have gone for the pork fillet and asked for jacket or boiled potatoes with it rather than truffle mash!
Today's plan:
B - fry up with bacon - P; S; F
L - leek and potato soup; bread - S; F; 0.5 HEB
D - crispy duck and pancakes with cucumber and spring onions - P; S; ?
HEA - milk
HEB - slice bread/skinny bar?
Syns - no idea what hopefully within syns!
Have a good day everyone and hope everyone is safe with all the flooding there is around.

Morning all,
Same here with the fog (obvs) @joedenise! I’m going to a Christmas Fayre in a local village later.Meal was lovely - I chose scallops to start then the hake with cavelo Nero and broccoli. Also had apple and ginger crumble which was a bit disappointing - more like granola. We had a bottle of local wine too. Naughty but very nice.Have had a toasted bagel for breakfast. Not sure about lunch as I’ll be painting the lounge again once I’m back. Dinner is ready made chicken kievs - one of the brain dog items I bought last week on my supermarket dash 😳
Have a good day all.Cross-stitch WIP: Haberdashery Shop Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 25/25 Currently reading Guilty by Definition by Susie Dent0 -
Morning all,
Real life getting in the way of me posting but have tried to read along. Enjoy the Christmas fayre @Coxy11.Rather pleased with just a wee half pound gain this week after being away. Obviously getting back on plan cut the real gain by a good chunk!
I’ve just finished a soft pitta with bacon medallions, tomatoes and mushrooms for breakfast, still a bit hungry so will have some fruit and yoghurt. Out for a curry later and as I’m driving so therefore not drinking syns, I may have what I fancy and get back on plan tomorrow 😁
@bubbs your comment about it snowing here this time last year and cars getting stuck, just checked the forecast and yip, we’re due light snow from Tuesday 🙈0 -
It's actually been a lovely morning here, warm and sunny. Unfortunately, it wasn't forecast so didn't get washing done.Like you @joedenise I'll get it done on Monday as that is forecast to be good. 🤞
I've been outside, tidying up bits in the garden so got a bit of Body Magic in. 👍 We could do with washing down the paving but can't because we still have a hosepipe ban here. 🤔
That's a good result @Jellybaby after your weekend in Madrid. Well done! 👏
Glad you enjoyed your meal last night @Coxy11. It sounded quite SW friendly until you got to the pudding, shame it wasn't worth it. ☹️
I'm feeling quite slim at the moment but not hopeful of being in target when WI planned in 10 days time. I'm eating out 3 times in the coming week. I've been thinking of going it alone but wonder if I'd stay close to target without WI every 8 weeks. 🤔
I'm going to put chilli in the SC this afternoon as HM ready meals are getting a bit low.
Today's plan -
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, strawberries and raspberries (S)
L- veggie omelette (P, S), salad (S)
D- chicken jambalaya (P, S, F)
Syns - weekend wine 😁

@maman - I worried about staying near target range when I stopped going to group regularly but although I tend to be over (within a couple of pounds apart from just after AI holidays) it seems to have worked for me. Could you perhaps give it a try and just weigh every 8 weeks at your GP surgery as I know you often check there a couple of weeks before you need to go to group? Good luck with deciding what to do.
You always have the option to restarting if it doesn't work for you.0 -
Afternoon all.
Was horrendous the rain here yesterday was like stair rods, yes they are saying snow next week and freezing temps , i spoke too soon!
Next door were evacuated again, with the threat of the bank braking again, but it never, thank goodness.
It's really messed my delivering up though 😢 now got to go tomorrow 🙄
Jelly that was good being away 👏
My friend got to target today 👏 well actually 1.5 below, she has been so close for week, got to just having a 1/2 to go then would put a 1lb on but smashed it today 👏👏
I had a banana at group, carrot and coriander soup (pure speed) and 2 bits of kfc chicken left from last night at lunch time.
Pitta pizza, chips and salad for tea
Well BOOM!! i only went and lost the 2.5 i put on last week 😁😁😁 happy bunny.Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0
