    Hi all,

@joedenise glad you were able to change the holiday but OMG to the time it took you to get to Sittingbourne!! I am there tomorrow morning for an appt and will have a mooch around the high street (such as it is…)

Food terrible today. I am emotionally eating due to stress of DH’s incapacity and Mum’s general demeanour towards me. Feel very fed up.

Have had a decent lunch and dinner is chilli con carne but I’ve been snacking too today.

On the positive side I start new part time admin job on Monday at 10am so just need to source a laptop. DSis has one I can borrow to start with but I’ll need to buy one.

Sorry to hear of weather woes - do stay safe everyone and don’t go out unless you need to. Happy bargain hunting tomorrow @bubbs xx

@maman - it was cost me far more if I cancel the car parking and rebook!  I only paid £60 something and it's now £127 so almost double the price.  Much better to have the faff and just pay £15 overstay fee!

Hope your cold doesn't come to anything and that the soothers do the job.  Agree they are a waste of syns but needs must!

Sorry @Coxy11 we must have posted at the same time and have only just seen your post.  Congratulations on the new job.  Hope it works out well for you.  How many hours is part time?

Sorry to hear you're emotionally eating due to  DH's incapacity.  It's understandable but I'd try and find free or low syn things to eat until things settle down.  Do hope DH isn't in too much pain.  You're right there's not much of a High Street in Sittingbourne!

Morning all, forecast has changed again and it's supposed to be dry but cloudy so a load of washing in the machine which will be hung out shortly!

Sorry about the rant yesterday but as you can imagine I was a bit p*ssed off as we booked that holiday so long ago.

I've nearly finished my trousers - just the hems to turn up and sew so they'll get finished today hopefully - as long as my workroom is bright enough.  Unfortunately it's quite a dark room and I can't sew when it's gloomy in there and the light just isn't bright enough to lift that gloom!

Glad the job is just down the road @Coxy11 so you won't be having to travel too far and hopefully no hold ups with the traffic!

    Today's plan:

B - something with eggs & spinach so may have an omelette or scrambled eggs, toast - HEB; P; S (depends what DH wants)
    L - LO beef bourguignon, boiled potatoes - P; S; F
    D - vegetable biryani - S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - none planned

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all,

Congrats on the new job @Coxy11 it sounds ideal.  Glad you got your holiday sorted @joedenise
I feel I should have more to comment on but can’t for the life of me remember what 🙈 - apologies, Hope you are all doing ok.

I saw DS2 off for the airport at 3am and went back to bed but I feel sooooo tired. Hopefully salsa will perk me up.  I also have the joy of eating what I want for dinner for the next ten days!

So,yoghurt with raspberries and strawberries for breakfast, I’m thinking a bacon roll with some salad for lunch but will see how I feel later and dinner could be chilli with wedges and Parmesan 😁

Rain has stopped so think I’ll walk to salsa class for some fresh air and extra body magic.  Have a good day all.

Hope the new job goes well @Coxy11. Travel costs will be low too compared with when you worked in London.👍🏼 Hope today is better and you can avoid the emotional eating.

10 days to eat whatever suits you sounds great @Jellybaby. My DH is a star and happily eats SW friendly food but I know I'd definitely eat differently if it was just me to please.

You're building up quite a new wardrobe with your sewing lately @joedenise. Are these everyday trousers or for holidays?🤔

It's been dry and mild here today, even wore 😎 when I was driving earlier.😁

Today I've been to have my hair cut and nipped into local Tesco while I was there. We don't have a big Tesco very close to us so it was a good opportunity. I bought a lamb shoulder joint. I know it can be fatty but I love it.😋
Tesco Lamb Shoulder Half - Tesco Groceries

Wine is 25% off 6 bottles until just before Christmas too (18th I think🤔) for those that like it. 😉

I'm going to make a big effort to eat from the freezer on my next meal plan as I really need to make some space before veg wars.

My cold seems to be coming to nothing much but DH (with the same cold) is feeling rough. I've got dinner planned but will change it if he's not hungry and it's just me. We're supposed to be out for lunch tomorrow so hopefully he'll feel up to it.

    Today's plan-
    B- Fry up (HEB,P,F)
L- JP (F), cottage cheese and salad (P,S)
D- savoury mince (P,S), new potatoes (F), cauli, broccoli, cabbage, carrots (S)
    Syns-0

Hi all, been reading along, but not invested in SW for the last few weeks, lots of "stuff" going on, more irksome and draining than anything crucial.  I need to return to group next week, sadly the lovely group leader has retired, she will be greatly missed, popped into group (not weighed) last week to say goodbye. New chap is O.K. but I will need to see how things go not comfortable with his style (he's been around in the area and holiday/sick relief he is nice enough and seems caring ).
OH much better, spontaneously really, Consultant bit perplexed about the whole thing, leaning towards Gallstone that has expelled itself which did not show on any of those scans, (30 years since Gallbladder removed tho' not unusual for more stones to appear). Whatever had happened we are just glad that he is better and much happier, even back (pedal) cycling 20 mile reads.

As for me still have all the chronic health problems, but happy to have removed all that stress, it has taken a toll though. Hence deciding to tackle my weight and shake myself up appearance wise a little.

I will pick up the threads of your SW journeys and join in with the thread from tomorrow.

The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)

Delighted to say I’ve been totally on plan today and my mood has been very positive. I’m a fool to myself really as I know when I eat well I have more energy and positivity. DH is back at the Chiro tomorrow but it clashes with us having smart meters fitted. DS2 is on standby to drive DH if necessary - depends what time the engineer gets here.

I too am intrigued by @joedenise’ clothes making. One day I will attempt some trousers!!

Some good bargains there @maman. Hope you and DH are feeling brighter soon and are able to enjoy lunch out tomorrow.

I reckon I’d survive on egg and SW chips if it was just me to feed @Jellybaby 😊.

Welcome back @maddiemay. Glad DH is improving x

Oh just remembered - I had a mushroom omelette at lunchtime. Has anyone else watched 9 bodies in a Mexican Morgue?! IYKYK!!
