Morning all, looking to be another nice day albeit a bit breezy. Temperatures are forecast to be around 17 for us but then our temps are always a bit lower than inland due to the sea breezes!
Happy belated birthday wishes @bubbs. Good to see you had some syns for a change and enjoy your cake when you go out shopping tomorrow!
Have made a start on my trousers and have got the fronts/pockets done. Next step is to join front to backs so hoping to get that done today. With a bit of luck should have them finished by the weekend or early next week as long as the rest of it doesn't take as long as the fronts! Had all sorts of problems sorting out the pockets but done now!
Today's plan:
B - scrambled eggs, spinach, toast - HEB; P; S
L - fajitas (made far too much filling for one day!) - P; S; 6
D - lamb and chickpea tagine, spicy couscous with pomegranate seeds P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - WM wrap 6
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Morning all (just),
Belated Happy Birthday to you @bubbs xx Cannot believe the hoops you had to jump through to get DH's results, but relieved that there is no change x
I did the airport run last night. DH and chums landed 40 minutes early(!) so he messaged when I was still on the M25. I ended up picking him and his mate up from the drive thru drop off/pick up point instead of parking. Still £7 for about 1 minute! Meant 2hrs 20minutes driving for me without a break. Was dog tired this morning.
I have had two pain au chocolates and a banana so far - this is what happens when I'm tired, I just reach for the easiest thing to eat. However I've spent an hour sweeping patio, front step and the paved area by the bins and have bagged up another 11 sacks of leaves. Was quite therapeutic!
Will have a better lunch. Either LO tuna pasta bake or a JP with tuna and salad - depends on DS2 and what he wants to have. Dinner is SW burger in a bowl for 1 syn.
Hope you're enjoying Glasgow @maman x

Morning all, not a bad looking day today although there's a chance of some rain later. Going to go shopping this afternoon mainly to use up a voucher from Sainsbury's for £4.50 off a £30 shop. Don't need a lot of shopping so will top up the difference with a couple of bottles of wine (I checked that wine and beer were included when I got the voucher last week!). It's just annoying that the voucher only lasts for a week as don't generally go there that often, usually only about once a month but for a decent discount it's worth the travel!
How do you do your garlic wrap @bubbs? Is is just spraying with garlic Frylight? Or spraying with normal and then rubbing with garlic clove?
Today's Plan:
B - Egg sandwich - HEB; P; 1.5
L - minced beef hash - P; S; F
D - beef stew, mash, green veg - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - LF spread 1.5

Happy belated birthday Bubbs.
i weighed this morning and have put 1lb on……2 to go for that next stone bracket.
I expected the gain tbh. We had a lovely time at dds. We walked along the sea front and had a mooch in the shops on Saturday, watched a free firework display too 😁
On Sunday we visited a coastal town a little further along the coast for a walk along the pier, had a lovely cuppa to warm up then Dd had made a delicious roast dinner. We headed home on Monday but went to explore the town where gdd goes to school en route. I’ve been once before for a hops festival but everywhere was heaving that day. We enjoyed mooching in town and exploring along the creek as there were some interesting buildings and boats. Last stop was a lovely farm shopjust outside the town, which enabled ds to charge his car for the journey home whilst we had a quick lunch to set us up. The biggest sandwich ever 😯 I ended up putting half in a doggy bag and shared it later in the journey. It took us 5 1/2 hours on the way thee and 6 on the way home including loo trips...both good journey times. We’re going down again for Christmas. I love the harbour when the boats are lit up for Christmas, and the big tree made from lobster pots….just wish I lived closer. Dd wants us to move down there but with the difference in house prices to where I live - it just wouldn’t be possible.Last night we went around to a friends house for bonfire night….sparklers for her grandchildren and a good excuse to burn lots of junk. I made a big stew with separate pastry for us all. It went down very well. I only had a small square of pastry about 2 inch square….trouble was I had a couple of mulled wines…..
Time to get some focus back….not sure what’s got into me lately.
Dh had some blood tests last week and he’s had a phone call to say doc wants to speak to him about them. The appointment is in a couple of weeks and I suspect it will suggest some lifestyle changes……he has put a fair bit of weight on over the last few years. I’m not expecting anything too serious or they’d have made the appointment sooner. Might be the kick up the backside needed for us both 🥴January spends - £587.580 -
Evening all 😁
Denise, garlic frylight and dried parsley, it was nice 😁
Milann thanks for birthday wishes, glad you had a nice weekend.
We had some rain this morning but sun came out this afternoon. Not that i was going anywhere as was working, writing orders ready for tomorrow.
Food today
Picky plate, free
"fry " up, sausages 2.5 syns, bacon, beans, mushrooms, 2 eggs and grilled toms , bloody lush it was although i set the smoke alarm off 🤣🤣
Got my birthday cake, a chocolate doughnut fro lidl to have in a bit, they are lush 😋😋😋Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -
Morning all, not even particularly light yet but looking out the window it doesn't look as though there is a breath of wind! Only a very slight chance of rain apparently but no matter as I've no plans to do any washing today!
Glad you enjoyed your chocolate doughnut - I've never tried them. DH always has the free sweet treat from Lidls. We actually spent enough last month to get the sweet treat and free veg - think it's only the 2nd time ever. Once in the summer when I chose the Kg of strawberries and this time I went for a big bag of potatoes.
It's funny but we never have fry up as an evening meal these days but quite often used to when the kids were little but of course we do have fry ups at the weekend for breakfast so we don't miss out!
It was WI day today and I was expecting a gain but was pleasantly surprised to find it was nowhere near as bad as I'd thought it was be - just 0.1lb! Happy with that as thought it might have been as much as a pound after too many syns over the week!
Today's plan:
B - toasted cheese sandwich, pickles - HEA2; HEB; S
L - carrot, lentil and coriander soup - P; S; F
D - Fakeaway KFC, chips, beans, corn on the cob - P; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - none planned but suspect I'll have something this evening - maybe a skinny whip and/or lolly
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Morning all, it's a bright enough day today with very little wind but a machine load of washing has gone out onto the line. Hopefully it'll dry.
Where did everyone get to yesterday? Assume you must all have been too busy to post!
DH has cooked a sourdough loaf for DD2 so we'll be going up to see her with it later (assuming she's in - I can't get hold of her on the phone at the moment!).
I ended up having my syns last night with a couple of glasses of red - not the best one I've ever had but OK. DH is unable to drink at the moment due to medication he's on so I suppose I'll have to finish the bottle tonight!!!
Today's plan:
B - bacon and mushroom sandwich - HEB; P; S; 1.5
L - LO carrot, lentil & coriander soup (is we're at home - otherwise no idea!)
D - keema curry, rice, mango chutney - P; S; F; 3
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - wine 12; mango chutney 3
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Back from Glasgow last night. We had a really good time and the weather was kind to us. It was much warmer and drier than we'd expected! Downside was I probably had a month's syns in 4 days but all were enjoyed.😋
Back on it straight away.👍🏼 I made us spaghetti and meatballs from the freezer when we got in.
Today is football so 3 syns for a half Crunchie and 2 for Morrison's fishcakes which we'll have later.
I've done a shopping list/meal plan this morning so will stop off at Aldi's on the way back from the match.
I liked the way the 12 syns of wine plus the 3 for mango chutney magically reached 15 @joedenise.🤣 I'll join you for a glass or two later.😁0
