Morning all,
Full of sinusitis today and one of my eyes has a burst blood vessel - attractive not!!
I weighed in this morning with a 1.5lb gain - as expected. However the total from the last 4 weeks is a 2lb loss overall so that's my 0.5lb a week usual plodding. Clearly having no sugar for 28 days helped a bit but not dramatically. I've been food shopping with Mum but intend to stay home today and clean as just not feeling 100% and am almost completely deaf!!
I cannot believe your consultant @bubbs talk about a control freak. Don't blame you being annoyed. Any FB traffic should be welcomed as a way of engaging the group. Silly mare!!
Food today will be whatever I fancy. Am doing SW sticky chicken and rice for tea with tender stem broccoli. Lunch will be a toasted bagel I think plus some fruit.
Hope everyone's doing okay
Coxy

Afternoon all, weather not brilliant but very windy so I hung a machine load of washing out. Went shopping and while I was in Sainsbury's it had rained but don't think it did at home as I got the washing in an hour or so later and nearly all dry - only thing not dried was one of DH's t-shirts.
I finished my dress and that's been washed and put away for holiday. Have now cut out another pair of trousers but not started making them yet.
Today's plan:
B - porridge, fruit - HEB; S; F
L - butternut squash soup - S; F
D - sweet and sour pork, rice - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - porridge
Syns - none planned as went over yesterday by quite a lot so need to keep low syn!
Have a good day everyone.0 -
I'm sure you're happy to take that gain after a lovely weekend @Coxy11. Hope the sinusitis clears up soon, it can be so painful.🤗
It's been damp today although not raining this afternoon IYSWIM @joedenise. The forecast for Glasgow for the rest of the week looks wet but most of what we want to do is indoors so we should be OK. It'll be good to have a change of scene anyway. We have breakfast booked in our hotel where I can make wise choices but otherwise it will be 'good when I can'.
I had plenty of chicken casserole left from yesterday so put half in the freezer for lunch on another day. I also portioned up some cooking bacon into lardons, some was full rashers and some gammon steak pieces. I look regularly when I'm in Sainsbury's to pick out the decent ones.
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, fried eggs (P), tomatoes, mushrooms (S), HEA milk
L- LO chicken casserole and pickles (P,S,F)
D- cod (P), SW chips, mushy peas (F), cauliflower steak, broccoli, mushrooms (S0

Morning all,
Still not 100% here but I have a few errands to run today including the post office, charity shop drop off and picking DH and pal up from Gatwick at 10:15pm ish. It’s all go.Food today:
B - blueberry wheat pillows, blueberries, 0% natural yoghurt, drizzle of honey - HEB, S, free, 0.5
L - LO tuna pasta bake, satsuma - free, 1/2 HEA, S
D - grilled pork chop, savoury rice - P, free
HEA - milk
Syns - skinny bar 3Cross-stitch WIP: Haberdashery Shop Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 20/25 Currently reading Finding Hildasaay by Christian Lewis0 -
Morning all, it's very windy again today so decided it was worth changing the bed so the bedding is already out on the line and blowing well. Don't think it'll take long to dry but need to keep an eye on the weather as there were some very dark clouds which hopefully won't be blown this way too soon!
Sorry @Coxy11 I meant to say your gain wasn't too bad and I'm sure you'll soon shift it this week.
When are you off to Glasgow @maman? Hopefully the weather won't be too bad but good that you have some indoor things planned. I think I'll have a look at the cooking bacon in Sainsbury's next time I'm in there which will probably towards the end of this week as I've got a good money off voucher so will probably buy some wine to make up the amount over the usual stuff I'll need like fruit and veg.
I'm going to make a beef stew in the pressure cooker later for Thursday night's dinner - DD1 and partner are coming over in the afternoon and DD1 said she'd like some; her partner won't eat that early - he's a very late eater usually 9 or 10 o'clock! I certainly couldn't eat that late! Always think it tastes better reheated.
Today's plan:
B - cheese omelette, nectarine - HEA2; P; S
L - chicken fajitas - HEB; P; S; 1.5
D - pasta bolognaise - P; S; F; 1
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
Syns - sauce 1.5; parmasan 1

Afternoon all,
Hope you feel better soon @Coxy11
In winter I’m usually in bed reading most nights at 10pm @joedenise never mind eating 🤣🤣
I’m half a hour from Glasgow @maman but we’ll be passing ships as I’m off to Madrid on Thursday! The weather is good here today - well, cold but dry and bright - but think that’s to change to heavy rain 🤔
I nearly forgot I had an optician appointment at 8.30am so didn’t have time for breakfast and refused to spend money, and syns, in well known coffee shops. I was out most of the morning but had pea and ham soup and a huge salad with cold meat and pickles stuffed in a soft pitta when I came home.Hunter’s chicken, hasselback potatoes, broccoli, carrots, and sweetcorn for dinner.0 -
Evening all 😁
Sorry MIA , just really busy and was my birthday yesterday not that we did anything spectacular 🤣 just anothher day really, i'd even forgot when i got up it was my birthday till i saw the pile of cards 🤣 I had some chocolate and crisps extra, will have a cake Thursday when we go shopping.
Infact had another day seething yesterday, this time at the Hospital and GP, DH had not had his results from bloods on the 3rd, he spoke to the hospital, they said can't give you results on the phone, speak to blah blah put you through, they say you need to speak to blah blah, then say speak to your GP, he said nothing to do with GP the consultant asked me to have them done and was supposed to have a telephone appointment in October! You get cancer and are left to fend for yourself, ok speak to blah bla, put him through and then he got cut off!!
By this time i was raging 😡 i said i am going to phone doctors, she said we don't have any results,i said they are not on the app either, she said ring the hospital! I said they have told us to ring you! Ok hold the line, comes back we are just downloading them , ring back in a couple of days, i said you have a very slow computer if it takes a couple of days to down load 🤣 funnily enough they were on the app a couple of hrs later. Thankfully they are no change 👏👏
I went unit and left dh here building a shed, well i got back from unit just after lunch then ended up helping him, he's knackered tonight, he said i am not as young as i was 🤣
Jelly and Maman have a lovely break both of you.
